how to do aromatherapy facial?

You can use so many things for aroma therapy, for instance, spearmint and peppermint both are good for energizing results. Rose scents can be relaxing. And you might want to be really careful what you put on your face though. NEVER and I mean NEVER put essential oils on your face that stuff burns and even though it smells good and has alot of different qualities you should use it with a base, like creams or large amount of water, like a few drops per bathtub full of water. I'm really a little blank on examples right now. But aroma therapy facial could be used with any of the citrusy facial products or other scented products made to go on the face.Just make sure they are safe for your skin type.

i dont know how to do that but you can do a yougurt facial
you'll need:
6-8oz. of plain yougurt
3-5oz. or finely chopped almonds(unsalted)
3tblespoons of wheat germ(full fat)
lots of pure honey!!! as much as you think is enough

Haircut, wax, mani-pedi, facial, and more...all in one place...?

I am looking to open a salon/spa. I have my cosmetology license from a world renowned academy of cosmetology; and I am also looking into getting my Massage practitioners license, so that I can offer many different services. I would offer : Massages, Aromatherapy, Facials, Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, Haircuts/Styles/Perms/Highlights ext.. all in one place, all done by me. It would be very private as I would not accept walk in clients, and would only have one client in the spa at a time because I know some people are not comfortable with spa settings, especially when they are busy! So... would you like a setting like that? Why or why not? Would you pay extra for more personal attention and a cosmetologist with a higher level of training? why or why not? What kind of services do you receive on a monthly/yearly basis and would you go more often if you had a good relationship and trust with your cosmetologist? Thank you!
The spa would look like any other spa... I would have a salon for haircuts/color, and another salon for massages/facials. It would be very private, comfortable, and spacious.
SAK: them not selling high priced products has nothing to do with the cost of your haircut.. after all, the products are not included in the cost of your haircut. Often times baber shop/chain store Cosmetoligist have inferior skills. Not always, just most of the time. The reason? High end salons train their workers, even after school, for usually another year or so. They send them to more training, seminars, trade shows. they only hire THE BEST (Based on instructer input as well as their performance). Lower end salons rent a stall to the stylist. as long as she/he has the money- they get the stall. High end salons do not "rent" a stall to their stylist, instead they are more than renters, they are part of the salon family, and therfor have more accountability to their salon and to you. They have better insurance coverage (in case they were to mess up your hair) and they work in better conditions, which equals a happier stylist and a better haircut! Hope that makes sense...

Hell yeah if I had the money I would go there once a month and get spend the day getting all my beauty stuff done.

That is one place that would be wonderful to go to-at a reasonable price. Each thing reasonably priced. As far as I can tell, not trying to burst your bubble, but that would be high priced, to me. As a woman, I can go to a local barber shoop in my town, and for $6 get a haircut. Why so cheap? I have heard it's because they don't have all those "name brand" items for sale there. As for haircoloring, etc., I would be interested. Especially in a massage. That I have had done, and feels so good! For options on a massage, of 15,30,45, and 60 min. long. That would be awesome! I wish you the best. Take care.

what's the difference between these two facials?

one package offers a "papaya enzyme exfoliating facial" while the other one offers a "aromatherapy facial".

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE

The papaya enzyme is made of man made ingredients, aromatherapy is made of natural ingredients.
enzyme facial would be for oily/combination skin while aromatherapy would be for a relaxing normal skin facial.

1 exploiates 1 smells nice and calms u down .. ithink

What is customary for tipping at a day spa?

Tomorrow I am going to a day spa and I have a package (total $350) that includes an aromatherapy facial, hot stone massage, sugar scrub, seaweed wrap, spa manicure and pedicure. It also includes lunch. I don't know how many different people will be providing the services. What would be the appropriate tip(s) in this case?

Usually at the front desk of a spa, they have a jar or a box for you to leave a tip. If someone does a really good job, feel free to give them a little tip hand to hand. Don't do anything too big because they are already getting paid.

What does it take to open up my own small spa?

I'd love to open my own small spa, offering serivces like facials, body masks, aromatherapy and detox all using the Swiss products that I am a consultant for. What does it take to do this? What sort of liscence or degree will I need?

you need to have the money first.. then get all the equiptment you need after you buy the place or have a place to open it up... just make sure you know what your doing

I don't know the details, but The Salon Professioal Academy offers an esthetics program that I am hoping to take in the next year. I believe they teach you management and salon owner info. Keep me in mind if you do open it up; I would love to work with you!

first figure out how much money you need then triple it. Draw up a business plan that a bank will look at and possibly give you a loan.( even if they don't, talking to the loan officer will tell you if you have a viable plan, or what's wrong with your plan)

HI there good luck but first you need to study hard. You will need to do course to get fully qualified, beauty therapy, manicure, and you will need to do a course on aromatherapy. if and when you do these course and you need some help just ask me I am fully qualified ( been doing beuty since I was 15 and have owned salons since I was 18 ) It may be easier to buy a small salon witha therapist already there.. Oh and another thing you will need to learn is waxing as you can make some extra money in the salon... good luck

I want to work in a Spa. What college schools and classes should I look into taking?

I want to be able to do the following...

-cellulite treatments
-face lifts
-waxing
-seaweed, detox, and energize wraps
-massages
-facials
-exfoliating salt glow
-distress aromatherapy cocoons
-lazer hair removal
-anti aging masks

Should I go to a Beauty School or Cosmetology School? Are those the same thing? Are these the things Esthetics's do?

The laws are different in different states, but a basic cosmetology license should cover you except for the massages. You will have to go to massage therapy school for that.

OMG please help me open up my spa please?

hi and thanks so much for reading and replying! I'm Derek Logan. You can call me Logan if you want.

I am opening up a spa and have no idea how much i am going to make a year. it will be a big place not a smaller on.

huge foyer area and a hair/nail salon. there will be a pool and hot tub for members only, restaurant, relaxation rooms, lockers, bathrooms, about 15 spa rooms. i want to know how much average spas make a year. on average. im in tampa florida.

here an overgo of my prices...
acne facial 1/2 treatments for teens 80 dollars
regular facial open for teens as well for 60 dollars
aromatherapy facial 70 dollars
'' massage 120 dollars
'' massage and facial 175 dollars
90 minute massage 135 dollars
couples massage (60m) 185 dollars
60 minute massage 115 dollars
30 minute massage 95 dollars
that is just a preview of a similar pricing guide for my spa
i just want to know how much the spa makes not the restaurant or salon.

please help and do research

VERY APPRECIATED!! :-)

Thanks

That seems pretty high for me, but then again I am in the sticks in Michigan. There is a growing trend for more people to do at home spa for themselves, and that is what type of stuff I am selling on my website.

You will have to look at what the going rates are in your area, Tampa is a large city with a growing population. Look into age defying treatments because of all of the sunburns.

Email me for info on products to sell. I am a marketing rep for a cosmetic/bath & body company. I would love to give you more information and send you product at a reduced price! (Mention you're from yahoo answers.)

Look forward to working with you!

no idea

What's your favorite thing you do(or want to do) to pamper yourself?

Do you take a nice bath with aromatherapy oils in the morning?

Do you unwind with some tea/coffee and a book on a rainy day?

Do you go for a stroll, admiring the views, and taking in the scenery?

Do you do any spa treatments, or facials and such.. ?

What would you like to do, or never have the chance to do?

What would be your perfect way to unwind and destress?

Best Wishes (=

I never get to eat out, I always have to cook, so once a month or so if I really want to treat myself I'll get something to eat out or I'll get one of those fancy espresso drinks.

which one of these facials should i get at the spa to get rid of blackheads?

Effective Natural Preservatives for Homemade Body Products?

I am interested in making my own all-natural, aromatherapy personal care products (facial cleansers, toners, soaps and such). I am not interested in using any synthetic chemicals for preservatives. What are some effective all-natural preservatives that would prolong the shelf-life of my "creations"? Thanks!

Goats milk, soybean oil, alcohol, castor wax, palm oil.
