also: which spray makes your hair shinier, light elements or brilliant spray?
aveda smooth infusion shampoo and conditioner will make your hair more sleek and give it more shine but if you have fine hair it might be too heavy. if you blow dry you should also try the smooth infusion prep style smoother. the brilliant line is better if you have color treated hair or hair that you don't wash daily.
How much does it cost to attend Aveda Institutes?
I am looking into attending Aveda Institute Columbus (ohio) for cosmetology and I was wondering if anyone knew the tuition price and the possibly the schedule of school days or how they do that?

5 days a week and a 8 month program was $14,000. So for hair which is a longer course will be even more, but really it is a full time school

No, Most Beauty School's dont offer dorms, unless their at a College.....I haven't gone to Aveda, But I've heard good things about the school....During school, When your a 'freshmen' you spend so many weeks in a classroom all day, learning the basics of nails and skin and hair, practicing on your maniqueins, doing tests, etc...Once out on the floor, Your still required to go to class, But it'll be ethier in the morning in afternoon..You spend the time your not in class, working on real clients, or your mannequin head/or hand.
Are there any good replacements for Aveda Hair Products?
I use the Aveda Grooming Cream, Grooming Clay, and Pomade. Is there anything cheaper that will do about the same thing? I really like the Aveda products, but they are just so expensive. If there is anything that I can find at a grocery store or something that will work, I would really like to know.
I don't use clay and all this stuff... I'm assuming you have short hair and like it spikey or something. But, my Mom has a short hair cut uses Bed Head and just switched to this Pantene texture cream. Bed Head prolly wouldn't be a great money saver but, I really like the way Pantene feels and makes her hair nice without the gunky feel.

I just started using the Aveda skin care line. I have the face wash, the toner, the tourmaline fluid, the nite nutrients, and the moisturizer. Is it important I use all the products together everyday or should I be not using the nite nutrients or tourmaline or toner everyday? This is the first toner I've ever had.
i have used aveda before and i was quite impressed. I was using the products everyday and my face quickly dried out so i switched to every other day. my combo was face wash, toner and moisturizer - twice everyday until i switched to every other day.
