Hot tubs making a comeback as relaxing oases Midland Daily News
More than 4,000 years ago the Egyptians were taking advantage of the healing powers of a steamy bath by tossing sizzling rocks into naturally-formed pools of water.
And the ancient Greeks were throwing off their togas and turning public bathing houses into the town hot spots.
Modern hot tubs can offer their owners a respite from anxiety and stress, soothe aches and pains, or simply help a person relax before bedtime and get a good night's sleep, said Lori Bennett, owner of Leisure Elements at 203 W. Wackerly Road.
And with hot tubs that can accommodate up to eight people - bathing suits optional - they can also be a place to entertain guests.
"It looks like a party waiting to happen," Bennett said of the larger hot tubs. "It's a small swimming pool."
Hot tubs also come with several options, said Dwight Robinson, owner of Robinson's Hot Tubs, 1725 Airport Road. Lighting packages, waterfalls and fountains can be had, but also stereos and televisions that pop up with the push of a button.

How old do you have to be to recieve treatments at Bath Spa?
My friend and I are planning to go to Bath Spa next summer for some treatments. We are both seventeen but we're wondering do you have to be eighteen to recieve the treatments?
You can be any age. They see you as a client, but also a dollar sign! I've been to a couple, and they are so much fun and very relaxing. When you get there, just remember it's about having fun, relaxing, and forgetting about your troubles!!
Enjoy!
Does anyone have any ideas for a spa bath at home?
Im a big fan of spa baths. I have alot of bath oils, fizz balls, soap petals, etc. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can make my own spa bath at home. Please be specific.
Put on some low, soft, soothing music. Light candles that are a pleasant smell for you. Turn off all electrical lights. While soaking in your bath, clear your mind. This should be ultimately relaxing. :^)
What chemicals should I use to clean a spa bath?
Please help?
I need to clean our spa bath, is there tablets or chemicals you get to clean it?
Clean the spa shell & filter.
It is recommended to use an acrylic cleaner to clean your spa shell - such as NOVUS, SPRAY AWAY, or CLEAN AND BRITE - do not use soap based cleaners like GLASS PLUS, FANTASTIC, SCRUBBING BUBBLES, etc. These cleaners contain harsh abrasives that might scratch the acrylic spa shell as well the fact that they will leave a soap residue on the spa walls. When you refill the spa, you stand a chance of getting bubbly, soapy water ! Spray cleaner on the spa shell walls, seats and floor and then sponge-clean the entire surface. Dirty water will accumulate in the footwell of the spa. This is OK. Keep your hose and your submersible pump handy. When the dirty water fills up the footwell, simply drop your submersible pump in, and plug it in, and pump out that water. Continue until the spa is very clean. Clean your spa filter cartridge as well. Use the special SPA FILTER CLEANER to do this. Do not use a soap based cleaner on the filter.
# 4 - Wax spa shell.
It is recommended to use an acrylic wax such as SPA BRITE, NOVUS, HI LITE, etc - do not use any type of CAR WAX or FURNITURE WAX. Using the wrong wax could cause troubles with your spa shell finish as well as cause problems with your water chemistry. Applying spa shell wax with a soft cotton T-shirt works best. Buff to a nice shine.
Good Luck !
is it safe to use a spa bath when pregnant?
Im 25 weeks pregnant is it safe to use a spa bath , massages your back and feet with the bubbles?
OH YEAH!!! And even towards the end when you'll be needing it the most as well. You can take baths up until your water breaks as long as they are not overly hot and you do not stay in for long periods of time. BUT it may be hard for you to actually get out as you get bigger. I suggest that if you do use it...make sure that someone is in the house to either help you in or out or in case something happens. Climbing in and out on your own is a little dangerous.
How much (approximately) does it cost to install a spa bath in a bathroom (replacing the existing bath)?
Please let me know if you are based in Australia and have had a spa bath installed in your bathroom. I already have standard bath and would be looking at replacing my existing bath with a spa bath of the same size. Please me know "approximately" what i would be looking at for the installation.....i have absolutely no idea and didn't want to go ahead if it was really really overpriced. Thanks so much.

Does anybody have any ideas for a spa bath that i can create myself?

Spa At Home Tips by James2.0
Turn off the TV, turn off the phone, or at least find a quiet place. To benefit from any TLC or beauty treatments at home, taking the time to disconnect from the outside world is a must. A relaxed mind contributes to a more beautiful and healthy you!
Light a candle. Better yet, light an aromatherapy candle or get a diffuser that heats up relaxing aromatherapy oils. Look for lavender, sage, rose geranium and sandalwood blends.
Body spa - one of the best tips to revive the skin is to exfoliate before you get in the shower. The ancient spas of Japan were known for their dry brushing techniques. All it takes is a soft body brush, look for one with natural bristles. Gently brush your body in circular motions starting at the feet and working your way up. This light brushing technique, stimulates circulation, providing an at home "detox" treatment while removing dead skin cells that prevent moisturizer from being absorbed. Follow with a warm shower, using a gentle exfoliating and hydrating body gel - Try Murad Exfoliating Body Cleansing Gel with gentle rice beads. Pat skin dry and immediately follow with a luxuriously rich body cream.
For face - exfoliate with a mild AHA cleanser in the shower. Then gently steam face over a pot of hot water. (sprinkle in some dried herbs or use chamomile tea bags) Place towel over head and steam for 5-10 minutes. Pat skin dry and immediately apply a facial mask. For oily or combination skin, use a clay based mask, for dry or dehydrated skin, use a hydrating gel mask. Even better use, the clay mask on the t-zone area, use a hydrating mask on the cheeks around eyes and on neck. Immediately sit down and put your feet up for 5 minutes, close eyes. (Put the chamomile tea bags in the fridge and place over eyes a few minutes before you get out of bed to reduce any early morning puffiness).
I'd like to start marketing my romance party plan as a bath & body spa party without romance items. Good idea?
I am having tough luck selling the "romance" items, but have always done well with the bath and body/spa items. Anyone ever done this with their party plan or would think it would be interesting to attend?
I think that is a GREAT idea, many women are afraid to ask their friends to a party that might sell items that will make others wonder about them or talk about them. With "Romance" items, women are not going to invite a very large circle of Friends. Now bath and spa items, that is a completely different story.
You might leave in a few of the milder "Romance" items and be fine though, just don't push them to hard. You might be surprised at how many women will ignore them completely but then order them if they can do so discretely.
Way to use you head, I think you are on the right path!
Peace!

Good Luck!
I hope you find what works.
I tried it, but the biggest struggle regardless of product or company is that very few like going to 'parties' anymore. We all know when we get invited to one of these things, we are going to be expected to buy SOMETHING. We all know that we are going to be asked to host our own party. Some reps are very low key about this, but others are flat-outright over bearing to the point you want to say something not so nice because they don't understand 'no thank you - not interested'..
Point in fact... I have been invited to an Arbonne party next week. I don't use the products, have no interest in looking at more of something I don't need and less on feeling like I have to buy something I won't use. My first response would be to say 'no thank you' and not go.
However, it's a good friend of mine who has been hounded (her words) for a year by this woman to have a party. The first time she scheduled it, no one showed up, luckily I had a previous engagement so I had an excuse. This time, I am going, dragging my feet, simply for my friend. It's time I could be doing something else I might enjoy, but time I will make for my friend.
I think you'll have better chances of booking more parties if you go with the - products for anyone - rather than the sensual side. What have you got to lose by trying?
And even though I was not with the same company, I have a nice three fold flier you might want to look at and modify for your products. If interested, send me an email address and I will attach the flier and get it off to you.
Good luck - nothing ventured, nothing gained.
How long does it take to walk from Bath Spa railway station to the University in Claverton?
I want the exercise, massive hill = good! If it only takes 20mins I can walk it in the time I could be waiting for bus!
The bus would cost £600 a year.....
i don't think you'd walk it- it's up a massive hill!
There are Uni buses that frequently run from the middle of town.
What is the best hotel with a bath/spa in the room for a romantic getaway in Sydney (Australia)?
I've looked online but I'd love some personal opinions from people who have had a great experience.
Radisson Plaza - 1 bedroom spa suite (this place is AWESOME!)
Don't forget to upgrade to executive club access - soooo worth it.
1 bed spa suite = $395/night
Club access = $55/1 person or $85/2 people
http://www.radisson.com/sydneyau_plaza
Steer clear of any Stamford hotels/resorts, trust me! (Paid $600 for one night and checked out as soon as we could as the place was dirty, service was non-existant and it was just appalling... my friends stayed at the one near the airport and the bell boy told them to carry their own bags)
Where can I get low-foaming bath products to use in spa bath?
Normal bubble-bath causes foam to almost reach the bathroom ceiling - even when you use a small amount!
Boots and think body shop had it in too.
