You could try Pattaya - about 2 hours from BKK, would be better if you spent more than 1 day.... at least over night as with a minimum of 4 hours travel (depends on the trafffic), you dont have much time...

Other places Cha-Am, Hu Hin also about 2 hours from BKK

Pattaya is closest to Bangkok, perhaps not the best but it is the nearest one, like the previous posts mentioned.

If your hotel is close to the Skytrain route you can use it to get to the Ekamai bus station. At that bus station get the ticket from the Pattaya window. The bus will cost approximately 115 baht and take around 2 hours. There is a much slower Pattaya bus you want to avoid, that ride takes 4 hours! Usually the "slow milk run" bus is the first bus you see (on the left) and the "pusher" is saying "hurry up and hop on, just leaving!" Slow, cold and no toilet on board! Avoid it!

Hotels are cheaper in Pattaya than Bangkok, perhaps you could stay an extra night or two and save money. The beach at Pattaya is okay for walking, sunning yourself, shopping, restaurants - but tourists don't swim there! They use the pools (even some hotels in the 800-900 baht range have pools.) Or, you can go to nearby Jomtien for beach type swimming. Air conditoned hotel rooms with hot water, TV, probably refrigerator, safety box and maid service begin around 400-700 baht.

Baht bus taxi rides are 10 baht for tourists for set routes, special baht bus ride to Jomtien is 20 baht from Pattaya, not far from Walking Street, near Pattaya 2nd Road.

For a swanky beach resort you might want to check out the Marriott Hotel, it is between Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road. Next to the Royal Garden Mall.

i highly recommend hua hin coz pattaya can be very packed especially during the weekends. hua hin is a bit more quieter and the beach is cleaner. it's only 2.5 hours from bangkok by bus and there are frequent bus services there.

1. Samet island would be my choice.

2. 3 hours bus - 1 hour ferry

3. Catch an aircon bus from the Eastern bus terminal in Bangkok to Ban Phe. Then take the boat from Ban Phe to Samet.

I would suggest you make it 2 days. Even a trip to pattaya you will want to overnight.

Pattaya is about 2 hours, Hua Hin about 3 hours. It depends how you want to spend that day. I agree staying the night in either is better as you can go out in the evening, enjoy the restaurants, a but rush for a day trip.
If you tell us how you want to spend the day it helps to sugggest which would suit you better.

Fact is the Holy Bible has been changed many times by man to suit their way of life, full of lies, corruptions thats why the Christian world today is immorall, single mothers, ppl ending up alone, affairs, rape, high rate of divorces.,hiv/aids and other sexual dieseas, high rate of crime, so many athiests today were christians and their ancestors christians, you see i can go on and on and point out valid points, facts and truth but you know Islam is a great Religion, you know Islam is superior then Mankind, you know you have been outdone, outclassed in history, if Islam spread by voilence then why did Islam spread so far as it did? werent there people strong enough to fight back Muslims and suceed? maybe people converted out of their own will, Al-Humdulliah.

I belive in Allah Subanatallah (God), the Great Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) taught us to fast, help the poor, give to charity on a regular basis, taught to pray , is all this wrong? is this all bad? why wud ppl kill and then tell ppl to act like this? because they dont, it doesnt make sense.

War has always been part of mankind, the Prophet Moses (Peace Be Upon Hum) lead the Jews against the Pharaphos and many Pharophs (Egyptians) died because Moses (pbuh) asked God to do this so to survive and prevail, you see as i said sometimes war is only option to prevail and option, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was commanded by Allah Subanatallah to fight against satan, satan who lead ppl to kill and do wrong so war was only option as ppl would not do right, would not be righteous, would not repent, you see you are very weak minded/hearted person who only does what ppl tell u to, you say things which dont make sense & is outclassed but u still carry on saying things which dont matter and u carry on even if u r defeated. We Muslims respect ppl of all Faiths but u ppl insult, see the contrast? see who is more Peaceful now? i can on and on but u r a minority (small & rear) of ppl who read one sentance, one verse and make judgment without reading the rest and thinking about it, thats why u r weak and thats why Christianity has so many denominations, we Muslims respect all Prophets (Peace Be Upon Them All). I rest my Case.

May Allah Subanatallah guide u to right path, make u see rightnoess, makes u strong minded/hearted/willed, makes u respect other ppl, makes u happy and forgives ur wrong doing.

Check with Condo Franchises. They will usually have someone willing to rent in a resort area. It will depend the time of Year You wish to Travel. Have Fun.

I stayed there two years ago!
it was great.
the rooms werent the best, but for a hotel it was pretty average.
I loved the theme though! a lake with actual sandy beaches.
and there were several pools, one for each community I think!
I stayed in aruba I think.
it wasnt too far away, or too close if I remember correctly.
the market place is fun.
theres an outdoor bar and a really nice pool.
inside is different places that you could go to eat like pizza, burgers that sort of thing.

When you check in ask to be near Old Port Royal. That's where the food court and main pool are. Enjoy!

Trinidad North or Martinique are the closest buildings to the food court/restaurants/shops. These are the "preferred" buildings and therefore cost a little more than a standard room. If you want a particular building at Disney World, ask when you make your reservation, call the hotel direct about a week or so before you go, and ask at the desk when you check in. Keep in mind that Disney honors requests when possible, but cannot always do so. Ask politely!

I would say Old Port Royal but if you don't have a perferred location room you chances are not likley for this. However if you are really really really nice to the guest services when you check in they may upgrade you for free.

Me personally I like to be closes to the shuttle buses! I go there more than the pool and food court. :)
