is there a difference between the performance of the beauty products from a salon and the ones...?

is there a difference between the performance of beauty supplies that can be purchased from a professonal beauty salon and the ones that can be bought from a normal drugstore? i'm wondering cuz there is a dramatic price difference. is there anything different in their performance?

You really just have to shop around and find what you like, and what's easy for you to create the look that you want. Different companies have different colors. A lot of the quality is different. I have found that Clinique is very comparable to Mary Kay. MK is actually rated higher than Cliniques, as well as other high end retailers, but is much less expensive;)

are salon products sold in Target of the same quality as the once in the beauty salons?

Someone told me that the drug stores such as Target that sells those types of products reduces them or add water to them to sell more quantity? A co-work once told that if they were of the same quality they won't be selling them there?

No, they are the exact same product. But oftentimes, you are better off buying them somewhere like Beauty Express or Trade Secret. Their prices on salon products are much cheaper than Walgreens, CVS, etc.

But if you don't feel the products are the same, you can always take them back to whatever store you got them from. Almost all stores now have a guarantee on beauty products that if you don't like them you can bring them. I'm sure this is within reason though; don't go using the whole bottle and then expect them to take it back lol.

no they are not. they are either fake or expired. professional products are only guaranteed when purchased from a salon. hair product companies only sell their products to professional salons. discount stores and drugstores obtain professional products through an illegal process called diversion. only buy from professional salons.

I have always heard that if you buy them from a retail store the product is not guaranteed like it would be in a salon. They probably sat around for a while and that is how stores acquire them.

It's called diversion.Any professional product not bought at a salon is not guarenteed.Alot of the time products are old or are old packaging. They are sold on the black market.

Wholesale Beauty Salon Products?

Does anyone know any sites where I can buy wholesale shamppos, conditioners, and hair products for my beauty salon???

I'm having a hard time finding wholesale sites...

have you tried sally beauty supply ? it is online as well as stores through out the us.

I brought some face product at a beauty salon, but I want to return it ... (the products hasnt been opened)?

today I had a facial done at a salon, after the facial they advice me to buy some of there products, and it was on promotion ( buy a serum and a night cream you get a foundation powder as a gift) but when I got home I open the gift and on the back of the foundation powder the EXP DATE 11 06 , Its already expired
I want to refund the products so I went back to the salon and they said they don't refund.
Is this right? I havent use or open any of the package ....
Can I get my money back??

I am sorry for you, I had the same problem, when they cheat me. You should go to the Fair Trading, they have the law to protect the buyer, consumers, and then they will give you the form to fill, and then they will resolve for you to get money back, I can not believe they treat you like that

You should be able to get your money back! even say you've used it & you are allergic. I used to be a beauty therapist, & I was told if you have an allergic reaction to something, legally you have to get your money back...What country are you in law may be different? Just be careful when you are in salons, they will try to make you buy as much as possible because the more you spend the more commision they make unfortunately for us costumers. Because you havent opened it you should take it back, just be strong, make a big fuss! Good luck

If it's expired, you should demand that they at least exchange it for a product that isn't expired. Try to talk to the higher ups if they still refuse, because that's ridiculous of them.

If your receipt shows that you purchased the product after the expiration date then the fault lies within the company for selling it to you. I would call and speak with the manager and attempt to reach a compromise. You may be out of luck with getting the cash back, but I would hustle for atleast a free facial treatment at a later date.

Honey, that is why the foundation was a gift. They couldn't sell an expired product...so they give it away in a promotion, trying so get some money for it that why.

You are probably out of luck, though, on a refund for the foundation since you didn't "officially" buy it.

Also, refund polices are always at the discretion of the business. It is good customer service to have them, but they are not legally required.

In my experience, it is less expensive to take something like that back rather than risk the thousands of people Yahoo! you'll tell about the poor customer expereince you got there. That doesn't include the family & friends you'll tell that are the most likely people to NOT go to that salon.

I'm looking for a beauty products company that is interested in franchising in Greece?

i want to start my own beauty salon with product that are very good but on the other hand haven't come to greece yet so i can put new products on the market.does anyone know of such a company or where on the internet i can find one?

hi! try checking Amway, their beauty product line is Artistry and they also have a salon quality line. its one of the best.. u don't need a very big franchising cost to start. perhaps u haven't come across this (its in greece already), just in case.

why is it important to promote the benefits of products to the client in a beauty salon?list 5 reasons?

why is it important to promote the benefits of products to the client in a beauty salon?list 5 reasons
can anyone help with this please?

Product kickbacks, Increased sales revenue. That is all I can think of because I usually tune out when they are trying to sell me all the gunk.

when the clientele are able to see specific results of using a product they are more likely to try it,
it could increase number of walk in clientele
which would increase product sales
raising the amount of commission , or kickback from sales.

bring in product specific customers
increases paid advertising
increases overall revenue

Also, people tend to trust someone who is honest and with visual proof of the quality's of a product it seems that stylist knows what they are talking about and gives good advise (which many people look for in a stylist. after all, beauty advise is the most sensitive you can give to somebody.) (except for maybe relationship advise.)
oh and often stylists will use sample products which cuts personal hygiene costs down ,saving money to spend on more products....and it ..
gives stylists opportunities to test different products

What product is used in beauty salons to make nails extremely shinny?

Hello, i'm talking about a professional product used, I've heard they mix it up with the nail polish and it makes the nail EXTREMELY glossy.

sally hansen's invisible polish. Just get any invisible shade that's from Sally Hansen.

But the brand that's NOT used in salons that's also really good is Loreal.

But since I live in Richmond (azns unite!!), theres a mall called Aberdeen that has a shop that's japenese owned that sells japenese-made beauty products. All their beauty stuff, such as fake eyelashes and yes, nail polishes rock.

That's just a note saying "made in japan" items are also the best.

Sorry I may not be much help but I do know that they used this gel that only gets put on if you get gel nails not acrylic. HTH

There is a procedure they call "gel" that they apply, like acrylics and it is very hard and very shinny. After they apply it like polish, you need to place your hands in the little finger oven, not hot, for the gel to seal. It looks good and last a long time. Go check out your local store for pricing. It doesn't come off with nail polish remover tho. It can grow out with your nails or have they file it off if you don't like it.

I like to have my nails buffed. There is no messy polish to dry and my nails shine beautifully.

What Shampoo from Sally Beauty salon gives you shinier &moisture to your hair?

mhm...dont care of the price but i wanted a sall beauty salon shampoo because its closer to my house, plus they have salon products i guess

I would Try their Generic Paul Mitchell Stuff I guess. It says GENERIC in big bold letters. They say its exactly like it but I have not compared.
Do not buy the brand ION it will just Strip and dry out your hair.
If they have it, I know they have the hair spray look for Nexxus. Nexxus has a shampoo and conditioner that gives your hair tons of shine and moister. Doesnt smell bad either.

EDIT: Sally doesnt have redken unfortunatly. They may have it in the generic brand, But I am very hesitant about that generic stuff.

How do I find connected, professional people that rep multiple high-end beauty products to salons and spas?

I am an entrepreneur with an exciting product/service for salons and spas. I am looking for reps that sell mulitple high-end beauty products to take on our line.

Is the beauty industry structured this way and if so, how do I find these people.

When I have jobs I need to get done I post ads in local newspapers, occasionally craigslist. I generally get a good response.

What products are used in beauty salons?

Im trying to put a list of products used in beauty salons together because im doing a case study and tests on all these. can anyone tell me what products there salon uses. thanks
thanks for advise, but I need beauty salon products not hair dressing products. eg: dermalogica

Tresemme, havent you seen the adverts? :P
