beauty salon?
i'm trying to look for a beauty salon that has someone thats asian. when i go to a beauty salon, i ask the person whos doing my hair that i want my hair in this Chinese or Japanese style and they don't do it right. so is there a way to find someone whos asian that can do my hair IN FLORIDA?
Find someone who has hair like yours or a style that you like and ask her to refer you to her stylist....
Should I open a Beauty Salon Business? How often do you go to the beauty salon?
Im thinking about opening a beauty salon business that offers the following services.
*Individual eyelash extensions (they look so real and last for 6 weeks £45)
*Eyebrow shaping/ colouring
*Waxing
*UV Free Spray Tanning
*Nail Extensions
*Manicures and Pedicures
*Body Wraps
*Spray Tatoo
*Body Piercing
The question is though, I don't know if ladies would be interested in coming to my salon.
If there was a beauty salon that offered services like these, close by, would you go?
And what treatments would you like to see/or have done?
And finally!!!
Should I open my beauty Salon?
First of all lets address the eyelash extensions, have you ever had these? 45 Dollars is too cheap i charge 350.00 for 120 lashes 60 per eye. These services are great but need to be broader. People wil come to your salon, but there is alot to opening and maintaining a good business. My mom has a salon in beverly hills. She has had her business 23 years, she is extremely succesful. She has 6 people that rent booths from her that do different tasks ,colorin, perming, washing ,blowdrying, nails, esthetician, manicurist, just some examples of services they provide. After 23 years my mom has a great reputation which helps alot. You can make fabulous money,my mom makes close to 2 million a year. Of course all of that is not to take home but she has to reinvest in her business.I can give you alot of tips.Feel freee to email me. caria_inniss@yahoo.com
The prices have to be reasonable and the place has to be spotlessly clean.
I work at a hotel/leisure resort (5*) we have abeauty salon there that is beautiful and faultless.
http://www.aphroditestudio.com/
thats the web address for it. It has a huge client base and deals in many things.
I especially like nail treatments and facials. False nails are cool and so is having your own done properly. Maybe offer make-up services too, like for brides or something!
I'd say go for it!
Do you have a certificate in massage as it's great to be able to go to a salon for a massage and a treatment.
If I were to go to the salon I'd have an oxygenation facial, eye-lash tint, pedicure and wax - all 4 at the same visit and preferably with the same beauty therapist.
Re whether you should open the salon....have you looked into the competition in the area and what products you would like to promote? It's a shame there aren't more mobile salons that come to your home. As a pregnant woman I'd really appreciate someone coming to my house and giving the treatments at home.
My hubby does lots of beauty treatments for me sooo ..lots of home remedies cheaper!!
I would go for this offer myself, but the things you need to think about is location and image too. good look with it all
Any beauty salon that is good and has reasonable price? What treatment is recommended based on my skin?
So could anyone tell me which beauty salon has a good and reasonable price? Since i am still a student, i would want to buy a package which i can afford.
The face problems i have are blackheads and pimple scars. So is there any facial treatments anyone could recommend?
why not use your local college these offer many treatments and are very cheap and also if your student you get a discount as well. These would also be able to tell you what type of treatment you need, but I would suggest a vapor facial using the correct products have a case study course and you'll see the results pretty soon. hope this helps
Any good ideas for themes of a beauty salon?
I plan on opening a beauty salon soon. I want it to be very unique and have a cool theme. Can you think of any themes? What is something you wish to see at a beauty salon? Anything and everything helps helps!
That would depend on the clientele you wish to attract. I personally prefer a salon that is obviously CLEAN. With a warm feel from nice woodwork and furnishings. Uncluttered stations with comfortable chairs and shampoo techs that give a great firm scalp massage including a brief massage of my neck. If you start every service with a great shampoo the rest is easy. The shampoo sets the tone for the visit. Now obviously that shampoo may be at the end, but it still needs to be fantastic. I use to do hair and learned early on that my goal at the sink was to put that client almost to sleep. I got complements such as " The best shampoo i every got from middle aged clients". The only thing that can mess up a great shampoo and cut is a poor front desk. Start the appointment and end the appointment with pleasant and attentive desk people. I know one shop that doesn't take calls at the check in/out area so the client standing there is given the priority tey deserve. With computerized booking it is easy. Sorry for spouting off and good luck.
Kidding...how about a tropical spa theme?
I have seen those sort of stores when I travel, never a spot when I want to get my hair done. Gotta wait about a week :(
OR...Black and White. That would be REALLY cool . Like almost everything black and white would look so chrisp, clean, and amazing!
Or to be really wack..:P...like Greek theme, with long drapey curtains, and pillars...

Do you need to have a cosmetology license to run a Beauty Salon?
My stepmother wants to open up a Beauty Salon, but she doesn't intend on doing anything with the customers. She'll be managing the salon. She plans on hiring employees that have cosmetology licenses.
Anybody know what she needs to go through to get her salon up and running?
Contact your local labor board. Someone in that location must have a license, yes, but not necessarily the owner.
Who is more easily hired to work in a beauty salon?
I was wondering is it easier for a manicurist/pedicurist or a facialist to find a job in a beauty salon? Which one makes better money?
Personally, I think you are looking at it all wrong. From what I am reading, it seems as though you will choose whichever is more profitable. You will not be doing the beauty industry - or yourself, any favors by doing this. The most successful people in the beauty industry are in it because they love what they do. The ones who go into any field for nothing other than financial gain tend to be miserable, and very unhappy with their work. Don't pick one career over another simply because your earning potential is greater. Instead, pick a career that you will enjoy doing. It will not only give you more job satisfaction in the long run, but it will also benefit the beauty industry as well. Even more than that, your potential future clients will gain from your being in the job because you love what you are doing. Do it just for the money, and they are the ones who lose. Its usually quite evident if a person really loves what they do, or not. If you aren't happy with your work, and do not show enthusiasm each and every day, then don't plan on making much money in either because you won't have many clients wanting services from you. Its as simple as that. Sure, you might get some here and there, but when they sense that you aren't really happy with your work, they'll just find someone who is and give their business to them instead. Just something to think about...
A good facialist is very difficult to find, most spa goers will tip their facialist appreciatively because of this.
Manicurists and pedicurists are very common. It may be easy to find a job, but you will not make as much in tips as a facialist.
Hope this helps!
What is a good price, per week to lease beauty salon space in Australia?
I am considering renting out space in an Adelaide beauty salon to provide general beauty services. She has quoted me $120 per week. I have had another salon quote $165 per week for make-up services only. Are these good deals and what questions do I need to ask, before I go ahead with anything.
150-175 is the going rate
Can I own a beauty salon and not have a beautician license?
I have the opportunity to open a beauty salon, have no intention to cut hair or do nails.
I don't see why not, but it's different from state to state so you'd have to check it out yourself. I imagine you can as long as you have licensed cosmetologists working for you.
How do i open up a Beauty Salon in North Carolina?
I just moved to North Carolina, i have owned several Beauty Salons in New York. Out here in North Carolina things are different. I need to know what steps i need to take in order for me to open a new salon.
First, find a location that will counteract your being new in the area. Second, make sure you have sufficient capital to launch a media blitz to let folks know you're in business. Finally, contact the State Cosmetology Board for exact licensing requirements and the city clerk for local business licenses
Good Luck!
Any good ideas for a beauty salon theme?
I'm attending Paul Mitchell beauty school in STL. As soon as I get out, I plan on taking a few business management classes and then opening my own salon. I'm sick of all of the "basement" salons and really want an awesome, unique salon. I need help picking a theme. I want something modern, that's never been seen before. What do you wish you could see more of in salons? I need all of the ideas I can get! Thanks!
How about doing a salon that looks like an art gallery. You could have makeup in an artis paint pallet or have the couches that lays down into a bed and use those as massage tables or tanning beds.
