How can i get a trademark mark for my natural body care products and any suggestions on the best labels to use
What are the best labels to use for private packaging of my natural body care products that i make myself. I have tried going to office depot and staples and they just dont have the right kind of labels that i am looking for. Keep in mind, i am on a very tight budget.
go here: http://www.uspto.gov/
this is the US Patent office, and it can answer your questions about patents and trademarks and what you need to do. If you are in Canada: http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/sc_mrksv/cipo/tm/tm_main-e.html
As for labels, you may have to design them yourself and google labels and see what you can find online to see what is available.
You may also want to at least consult with a patent attorney before you proceed. It can be a time-consuming process because it usually requires a search to be sure that there isn't another trademark/patent out there with the same name or for an item too similar to yours.
As for labels, why not create your own with Printshop or one of the other software programs out there?
Good Luck.
Who should be responsible for toxic body care products leaching into the environment?
More and more research points to destruction of our environment from body care products. Who should be financially responsible for cleaning it up? Companies who make them, consumers who use them, or all of us through taxation for government clean-up?
Published July 11, 2007:
Chemicals found in household products like antibacterial soap and plastic bottles are found in sewage water that is discharged into San Francisco Bay, posing a threat to wildlife and humans, according to new data....The inspectors found three types of chemicals -- phthalates, bisphenol A and triclosan. All are suspected of interfering with hormone systems of humans and wildlife..."We're involved because we know that these compounds are out there, and we cannot treat them in the wastewater stream," said Charles Hardy, EBMUD spokesman.
Al Gore should be help responsible. After all, he is leading all of the environmental whackos on this crusade. Let him fix the problem. =)
It is society in general and lack of accountability. We all just need to do our part. we cant go on a witch hunt.
What is a good natural skin/body care line?
I would like some recommendations on more natural products that don't contain so many chemicals but are still great to use. I want to go more green and wouldnt mind helping the environment and myself.
Looking for things in hair care, skin care, body care, and make up
It is expensive, but I have had great results with Mona Vie which is a natural product from the rain forest. My skin is very soft and since the juice is made from 19 different fruits, it is all natural. Check it out on the web and see all the different things this helps. I just started two weeks ago and have noticed a difference in skin, under eye darkness is lessening, knee joints don't hurt as much, and I have been sleeping sounder. http://www.mymonavie.com/letsdrinktoyourhealth/
I am not a distributor and that is not my web site! I posted it so that you could read some information on the juice.
What are some good books for taking care of your body the natural way?
Like in example, using homemade porducts for taking care of your skin, hair, nairs etc. and other simple tips :) I heard The Body Book: Recipes for Natural Body Care by Anne Akers Johnson was a good one....anymore?
There are so many books on natural remedies out there there's one called 'Natural Remedies just ask Dr Weir' but their really are so many I would suggest you go to your local library and look in the health and medicine section you should find everything your looking for. Those kind of books to buy outright are really expensive that's why i reckon the library is a good start for sure. That's a really cool interest you've got there good on you!
Water, for health, for healing, for life.
And always use a good moisturizer w/sunscreen!
This book has lots of homemade lotions and potions to use on any type of hair, but especially curly or wavy hair. It has suggestions for managing hair without blowdrying or striaghtening. The website below goes into more detail. Hope this helps! (:
Do anyone have any good suggestions on marketing my own special body care products?
I would like to sell my own body care products, inscence and candles. I just need to know a good way to market my products.
Try starting with an Internet site. And make sure that you've thoroughly tested and had independent tests done on the safety of any body products you manufacture and sell to the public.
If you're looking to sell locally, do some craft shows or fairs and give out lots of fliers, business cards, etc. I have picked up lots of local fundraisers that way.
You have to be persistant. This is my fourth year and things are just now starting to pick up speed.
How effective is VLCC or Body Care, Bangalore?
Can anyone suggest how effective is the slimming/ weight reduction programs done by VLCC or Body Care.. i.e will there really be a weight loss or is it just a marketing gimmick. And what is the impact on a person's health. This info is for a very close friend of mine, she is 27 and is slightly over weight.
all it needs is loads of MOTIVATION!!
IF YOU CANNOT MOTIVATE THEN JOIN THESE SLIMMING CENTERS because atleast for sometime in a day you will listen to some so called expert and follow their instructions because YOU PAY FOR IT!!!
Can you use the L'oreal body care exfoliator for the face?
i bought the l'oreal exfoliator because it said for skin..and for body care..but now i realised that it may be not be suitable for the face? would it be too harsh or something?
► yes it is harsh for the face. anything you put in your face, you can put it on your body but never the other way around!!!
why is it difficult to help someone to grow? i.e. when a person need money for his own business, no body care
why is it difficult to help someone to grow? i.e. when a person need money for his own business, no body cares. But when he is in trouble, nearly everybody want to contribute and assist. My question is why is it so?
It's TRUST...nowadays difficult to find a honest person...wouldn't you say
What's the one makeup or body care item that you cannot live without?
Everyone has that one self-care product that they would sorely miss if they couldn't have it anymore. Mine would be lipbalm and lotion. What's yours? You can even mention a specific brand if that particular brand is just superior to the rest in your opinion.
lipgloss
i love it soooo much
my lipgloss is poppin' haha
my friends all think of me wen they hear the song lipgloss
haha yeah but lipgloss is definetly my fav beauty product
I make all natural body care products. Is this a good business to get into?
I work as a manicurist partime and when i service my clients. i used some of the products that i make. I make body glow salt scurbs, using all natural essential oils and i use my own hand whipped shea butter as a moisturizer. When performing my natural nail care services and pedicure, my clients always rave about how good my products feel and ask about them. I have sold them to my clients as well, but i want to know if i should go all out and if this is a lucrative business
i definitley think that natural body care products is a great business idea because people want to know what they're putting on and into their bodies.
i think it also really depends on where you live. for instance, i know you'd probably find a very favourable market out here in vancouver, bc. those kind of products are huge.
if i were you, i'd start within the confines of your work and your clients. perhaps give them samples that they can give to friends and family to try, and like you said, people are still raving about your product, start staking out beauty product stores and setting up appointments to talk to the owner or manager about selling your products in them. but i definitley think you're on to something, and the sky is the limit.

How to Save Money on Body Care

With today’s rough economy, many of us are pinching pennies wherever we can. This includes cutting out unnecessary spending on body care items which are not essential, such as acne cream, moisturizers, and other ointments.
Did you know that there are several things you probably already have lying around your house that can double either for medicinal or cosmetic purposes? Below we will discuss some everyday items one might find laying around the house, and how you can use them for other “unconventional,” but very convenient purposes.
Egg Yolk
Yes, that’s right — those eggs in your fridge can be used for more than an omelet. Egg yolks are full of nutrients that both nourish and heal blemishes. Egg yolk helps get rid of acne, moisturizes your skin, and making your skin both smooth and soft.
Simply separate the egg yolk from the whites and apply generously to face and neck area (be sure to wash your face beforehand and remove any makeup or lotions you may be wearing). Let the yolk dry on your face, for approximately 15-20 minutes.
Remove egg yolk with warm water and a wash cloth. Splash your face with cold water afterward to tighten up your pores.
Egg Whites
Ahh, again with the good ol’ egg. Did you know that egg whites make an excellent hair conditioner? Simply separate the whites from the yolk and apply the whites to your hair while showering.
Egg whites help strengthen your hair, turning it silky soft and smooth in the process. Rinse with warm water, dry, and style as usual.
Vicks Vapor Rub
Many people keep Vick’s Vapor Rub lying around their house in case they should come down with a cold, but did you know it can double as an antifungal cream? Vick’s Vapor Rub can be used to treat nail fungus.
