Shannon Knutson was introduced to the Biogenie Body Sculpting Machine by her cousin.
After my first treatment, I felt like I was more refreshed I had a lot more energy, said Knutson, 36. By the second and third times I used it, I was like Gosh, I feel so much better. I want others to experience this.
That led her to buy one of the machines, along with exclusive rights to market it within a 30-mile radius, and open RadiantYOU Wellness Spa in St. Cloud.
The business, which she says promotes physical and mental wellness, opened in late September at 2700 First Street N. in Suite 106B. She takes appointments from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday. Currently, her service is open only to women.
The machine, which is made in France and sold in the U.S. by Body Sculpting Day Spa in Sioux Falls, S.D., is expensive. Knutson said hers cost as much as a new vehicle. But shes convinced it is worth it. She says the electronic treatment detoxifies the body, lifts, tightens and firms the silhouette.

I've tried a few times, and I'd like to do it again. But I am afraid to spend so much money on something and not actually get what I thought I was getting.

Get an ionothermic treatment. it is intended for people trying to get rid of cellulite and lose a few inches. i had one done on a cruise i went to and i lost 4 inches total. the best part was i had just had a baby and the look of my stretchmarks and other areas was so much smoother.

Has anyone out there ever had a Body Wrap at the Spa?
Can you please tell me what to expect when getting a relaxing body wrap at the spa? What all steps are involved? How do you maintain your modesty?
Spa professionals will always make sure you're feeling comfortable mentally and physically, so I wouldn't worry too much about the modesty bit.
Most importantly with body wraps, it detoxifies your body so make sure to drink lots of water before and especially after. I neglected to do this once and got sick.
Where can I go for school to teach me body wrap and facials (spa treatments)?
I am going to go to school for massage theropy but I also want to learn body wraps and other skin related jobs you can have at a spa. I live in PA so I'm trying to find a school close to home. I don't see any schools that will teach me that. Please help me.
To learn those you can go to aesthetic schools. I am an aesthetician who owns a spa and we have massage therapists, but they do not perform salt glows/body wraps, etc. I learned these in school of aesthetics. I am not sure if that is something you can afford to do, with time and money, but its a whole different field than massage and a second license. Sometimes, massage schools offer extra credit classes that teach body wraps, stone massage and others. Try to ask your school if they know how you can add to your degree by doing these courses. Instead of going to school for a second degree just to learn body wraps.

Also there is something called Iridology (study of the eye's). I had an iridologist help me with my health problems & diet. The eye's tell a lot about the health a person has, or the lack thereof. It is also good for preventive health care issues.
This Iridologist also did body message, as needed: to help her clients out & she also tested the strength of the muscle tone.
A Chiropractor & A massage therapist complement each other in their line of work as well.

You're gonna need someone to help you. You mash avocadoes, with a little bit of olive oil, and optionally, essential oil of your choice. Spread it all over your body and get somebody to wrap your body with plastic. (the kind you wrap food with) Put cucumbers over your eyes and relax.

What's the best way to reduce cellulite and tighten skin? I'm trying to get my body back after having my first baby. Now, I'm 5'4" and I weight 125, but my buttocks and thighs have cellulite since getting pregnant, and my skin is so much looser! I've heard of those mineral body wraps they do at spas, but do they really work?
I had my daughter 8 months ago, so it's been a while, so no medical problems, and I do work out daily and eat well, so don't use that as a suggestion, please.

It really depends on the establishment that is doing it, the quality of the ingredients used, that you are wrapped up long enough, you become hot enough, that you have the proper compression and that you are relaxed and your lymphatic system is working. I developed a cellulite wrap protocol that worked extremely well. My clients lost inches and weight. The first time I did it on me I lost 2" on my thighs and I maintained it off for over a year. Of course, I did my at home maintenance to insure that it did not come back on such as avoid sugars, alcohol and caffeine.
