BACKPACK DRIVE: Talk about creativity. Allure Beauty Salon owner Denise Ornelas is on a mission to collect as many backpacks for underprivileged children, and she's been using Facebook to entice potential donors. The goal is to collect 500. To reach that number, she's been offering some of her beauty services for free.
On a recent Facebook post, the esthetician offered a lip and eyebrow wax in exchange for a donated backpack. Other posts: free microdermabrasion treatment for three donated backpacks or a free microdermabrasion treatment and Brazilian wax combo if you bring in four.
The wife and mother of two began the effort so that children who need new backpacks will have the opportunity to pick one up for free at the annual consumer trade show. The 17th annual Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business & Consumer Trade Show, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 at the Kern County Fair Grounds, is aiming to give away 500 backpacks in time for school.

I want to keep my land down under hairless, and I was wondering should I go in for a wax or is shaving sufficient( I have to shave every day ugh) ? I don't have much experience with waxing, about how much should a good Brazilian wax cost and how often do I have to get it done? also are there any tips on finding a good place to go? I don't want to get waxed by an inexperienced waxer esepcally down there, thanks!
I've only had it done once, recently, but I did a bit of research online for the area I live in - just typed Brazilian Wax in Nowhere, NW into any random search engine and got lots of results back. It appears that the average price is about $45. For me it took about 2 months for everything to grow back completely - guess you wouldn't want to go back any sooner than that or you would have hairs growing back at random times and would have to do major tweezer duty. Mine took about 45 minutes - I certainly would like to try a different place the next time around just so I can compare the experiences. I had it done at about 3pm and was on fire for the rest of the day/night and still a bit sore the next morning, but I felt that the results were well worth it. Good luck!

Let me tell you, I had a Brazilian Wax done. It's will hurt of bits as soon you wax it. It will goes away in few seconds. You will see your red skin after you had waxing. It will goes away several hours. Your hairs will be gone. You can get it done every 3 to 4 weeks. I had done at Beauty shop. I have nice smooth skin after waxing. I love them so much.

The thinker the hair, the more painful it is. But if you keep waxing instead of shaving the hair gets thinner and doesn't hurt as much after. There are lots of Nail shops or Beauty Salons that do it, it's just about finding a good one!

yeah sure
it takes between 4-6 weeks to grow back but it grows back much softer and not as thick
its different for everyone though so this can vary

anyone could get one done..i think, hair usualy takes longer to grow back but it depends how often you have shaved, if you shave more often hair will probably grow back faster than if you've never shaved. But it usually does last atleast 4 weeks.

It may sound dumb but I can't seem to get a straight answer out of anyone. Exactly how much ground is covered? Would my bikini line be included or would it just be my labia? Would the 'triangle' area above my labia be done? Would I need to schedule a brazilian AND bikini wax to get both done?
Note: I'm not shy about it, my main issue was the bikini line. i figured everything else would come off but the last thing i wanted was to go in fo a brazilian and have the bikini line be a seprate service to pay for.
It includes the bikini line. A brazilian will get rid of all the hair apart from a trimmed landing strip at the top. You can even ask them to take everything off. So yes, the brazilian will do the lot and it would be the one you want. Plus they look really sexy.

The whole lot is gotten rid of! From the front to the middle to the back to the sides, it's all gone. Although, you can opt to keep a little bit of hair at the front if you want (called a landing strip). Just schedule a brazilian, no need for a bikini as well. And it's totally worth it :)

For a brazilian you have to take off your panties and you can choose a landing strip, triangle, or nothing. It would include everything you want to be taken off. You only need to schedule a brazilian, not both.

I have very thick and wiry hair and every time I shave it gives me horrible bumps. So I am going for a brazilian wax tonight, but then horseback riding in the morning. Will that be OK, or will I be sore?

you will be sore.. i'd try to wait at least a day.. but sit in a warm tub afterwards and then use a cool wash cloth.. that will help. also use a calming cream.. thats your best bet if youre going riding in the AM !

A brazilian wax leaves whats known as a landing strip which is a thin line of hair where as a normal bikini wax will only remove hair around the underwear line. In my experience the bikini is more painful than the brazilian

A regular wax will take hair off that would show when your wearing a bikini (sideburns,etc.). A brazilian removes that hair and then goes the extra mile. It removes the hair from the inner and outer labia, the rectum, and depending on what you want, it can go as far as removing all the hair on the top of the pubis, or leave a 'landing strip' or a heart, a diamond, a triangle....it can get fancy. it lasts about 3 weeks when you first get started, and over time it lasts longer. It hurts at first, but it's more weird getting comfortable with someone getting that involved with your vag. i literally feel like I am in a realtionship with my waxer. Make sure you go to someone with proper training or you could in end up in a lot of pain, loads of swelling and peices of very delicate skin that have been waxed off-OUCH!

A Brazilian is taking ALL the pubic hair off. A normal wax, and I think you're talking about a regular bikini wax, is just removing the hair that would show if you wore a bikini (Kind of taking off the sides) :)

I want to get a Brazilian wax sooo bad but I don't want to go to spa to pay so much money. Is there a better way without having the itching from shaving.
There is a product called Micro Tweeze I believe it to be the best wax product of all time, it is simple, clean and inexpensive. Do not use a depilatory as that region is sensitive and likely to result in chemical burns that are far from sexy.

you can clip to shorten the hair, then you can use a topical ointment from the drugstore to numb your skin. Also take a tylenol or two to also dull the pain. Then proceed to wax as usual.

just use duct tape. wax is a scam. the trick to hair removal is to do it fast so you dno't damage the deep roots. just cut the hair short if it's not short already, put the tape along the bikini line, work it in good, then pull it off fast and hard. doing it fast hurts a lot less because you pull the hair out of the root instead of pulling the root out of the skin.

Get the wax and make sure that you do not make it too hot. I would use baby powder first to make the wax only stick to the hair, not your skin. (Just a light dusting) then make sure that you hold the skin tight and get to it. Might want a good stiff drink before (if you are over 21 of course) Be careful with a lotion hair remover like Nair. It works great, but make sure it stays external. It could burn delicate skin.

do it yourself or get your man to do it for you.....just go to walmart and buy the waxing kit which is not even 10 dollars..all u do is spread the wax on and use the sticky strips to pull out the hair..it will sting for a minute then go away. then it will look Beautiful. but youll have to try it 3-5 times to get used to it.

I know that it will hurt, I just want to know EXACTLY what will happen.
You'll get the best results from a Brazilian. Take a Tylenol an hour before you get the waxing, it'll help reduce some of the pain.

I got a brazilian wax last week and i still have bumps from it and want to get rid of them fast, how do i do it?
you need to gently exfoliate the skin there.use a creme or exfoliating cloth but dont go to hard...what these bumps are are ingrown hairs. next time you get a waxing you can buy a bump minimizing lotion to apply the day after or just exfoliate 2 days after and that should stop them from forming. good luck!
