Are there any affordable ways to reduce cellulite?

I realize cellulite is merely fat, but aren't there treatments that can help compress or smooth the appearance of cellulite? I am not overweight, and I exercize regularly. Other than dieting down from a size 6 to a size 1, aren't there any affordable products or home remedies that can help? It's not unbearably hideous, but it does make me reluctant to wear shorts in public.

Incidentally, I've tried cellulite creams, but most are too expensive for me to use on a daily/nightly basis. I've noticed that caffeine and seaweed are frequent ingredients in cellulite creams, however. Are there any home remedies involving caffeine that might help?


I have found the best thing for cellulite is water I drink lots of it and try to keep that area toned. I am no exercise buff BY NO MEANS! But I do what I can I have had two kids and gained 30 lbs with them both and I have seem to avoided the dimples. Since I dont do cheerleading anymore and ive been out of high school, I have noticed im getting cellulite on the backs of my thighs. I know exercise to target that area will help, so I am doing that. Hey, Lauren -- I have the same problem. Cellulite is more about the way your body stores fat than your exercise routine. No amount of working out will get rid of cellulite unless you specifically target the backs of your thighs with some other techniques.

Here's what worked for me:

1. Brushing (dry brushing every night before my shower)

2. Exercise (pilates and deep knee bends -- hard on the knees, but great for the legs!)

3. Cellulite cream. I bought some cellulite cream online and it worked fantastic for me.

Whats the difference between cellulite and stretch marks?
