when getting a couple's massage do you tip each masseuse individually?
My girlfriend and I are getting a couples massage that is an hour long and is $165 tomorrow. Do you tip off of the total bill or do you give each of them a certain tip percentage? What is a good amount to tip?
You tip based on the total bill. Often the place will provide envelopes and if so you'd need to separate it and put it into individual envelopes. Many places just ask if you'd like to put a tip on the credit card and they will divide it by the 2 therapists.
Usually massage therapists are closer to 5-10% than a waitress's 15% (as massage therapists do not make the majority of their income on tips) but it is up to you.

if you don't mind the drive go to the spa insitute in signal hill i love that plae and there not that expensive and there not to stuck up there. but you can do what i did when i originally found them go to spa finder .com look spas in your area see which one is giving a special or drive by or in to see what they are all about before taking you bf there. the reserch pays of trust me. what might be cool for you might not be for someone else. i like small inexpensive and laid back but you might be looking for something more posh and upscale for that special day with you and your bf. even if you go with one someone else recommends check it out yourself before the big day to make sur it's just right. have fun :)

It is very common, after a masseur (person who does the massage) has used too much pressure. That is undoubtedly why you are feeling the pain in your sore shoulders. It will heal in time. Meanwhile you could find some way to apply warm heat to your back (maybe with a heating pad or hot water bottle or warm shower or tub bath) for about 20 minutes 2-3 times a day. If you have another person available who could do some GENTLE massage after the heat treatment, that might help. Good luck. Be patient. It will get better.

Just go ahead and do it. Be sure it is quick, you don't make a mess and you are not obnoxiously loud about it. And don't break anything! Keep the spontaneity and secrecy between you and your partner. It adds to the ecstasy (similar to on your parent's couch while they were sleeping in the other room). If you ask permission from the therapist(s), then it makes it awkward when you are leaving, and/or setting up your next rendezvous session. If you are caught, then be prepared to be asked by the owner to never come back again. It sounds like fun. I wish I had the same opportunity...

If they are a legitimate licensed massage therapist team, there shouldn't be a problem with the hotel. Many hotels, however, see 'massage' as just an euphemism for prostitution, and would not want them on the premises. Many legit masseuses/masseurs will not agree to meet someone in a motel.

How much do you tip for a couples massage?
We are having a couples massage soon....its going to be a massage with hot stones added. The total amount for both of us is going to cost $230.00.
How much should we tip each therapist???

Ex: 20% of $230 is almost $50. Do I give EACH therapist that much, or $25 a peice?
First of all, there isn't a requirement for a tip at all. The concept of the tip comes from service when the price is mainly for the food. But this is a charge that is for the service. If I pay for a $50 massage and I get a good massage then I should pay $50. Now, if there is a sore spot that the therapist works extra on and makes it a better than average massage, then you are talking about tipping for better service. (NOTE: I am not talking in the least of sleazy). Then the tip would be given to the one therapist who did an above average job. If they both did, they both get one. But then the amount would be related to how good they did. So the more pleased you are, the higher the tip percentage.

Because if you gave each therapist $50 then you would be tipping more like 40% which is too high.
You are paying $230 for both massages ($115 each) so you could figure the tips that way as well.
