Back to beauty at Spa at Four Seasons in Denver and Vail Breaking Travel News

Back to school time often means shopping for new clothes, and maybe even a visit to the salon or spa for a new look. Enjoy some end of summer pampering at The Spa at Four Seasons and help make a difference in the community by donating school supplies. From August 22 through September 30, 2011, bring a backpack with school supplies inside to The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Vail or The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Denver, and receive a gift card for a future Spa visit, valid for weekday spa appointments from September 6 to December 31, 2011.

Backpacks and school supplies collected at Four Seasons Hotel Denver will be donated to adolescents in the Arapahoe House residential treatment programs and to young children of parents currently receiving treatment in one of Arapahoe House’s life-changing addiction treatment programs. The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Denver will give each guest who donates a backpack with supplies a certificate for USD 25.00 toward their next Spa treatment.

SPA IN DENVER OR BOULDER CO?

Hi.. I am looking to take a very good friend out for pampering.. I am looking for a great High-End full service spa in denver or better yet in Boulder...

Is there a spa that has pre-treatment relaxation facilities such as: sauna, steam room, hot tubs..ect?? I want this to be an all day thing but I don't just want us to be apart in treatment rooms..

There is also the St. Julien in Boulder:

http://www.stjulien.com/spa.htm

There is also the spa at Gold Lakes out of Ward. You would have access to the outdoor private hot tubs. Those alone are worth the drive up there:

http://www.goldlake.com/spa/menu

Is Vail there is Vail Spa it is fun and fun to snow. There is Embessey in Dever

Oh you have to take her to Ten20 spa in boulder .. it's on pearl street. This is the best spa that I have been too ever!! check out the website. They do an amazing job and offer you drinks while you are getting your nails done or whatever else you choose.

I don't think they have a sauna but you can call them and they will recommend someplace that does.

Try Finishing Touch on north 28th in Boulder. They have a number of couples packages available in addition to a variety of pampering services.

It has a place called Massage Evny.
Then theres another one near a place called WingStop

The best spa for the money in Denver?

Thanks to everyone who has and is answering my question about hotels. Now I need a spa that isn't a fortune, but gives you the five star treatment. I think we are staying at The Curtis, so something sorta in the vicinity. Even if it is a little boutique, I just want something that will make my friend, the bride-to-be, feel pampered.
Thanks again!!!!

Here is a quick link to a list of spas. Good Luck!

The Brown Palace has a pretty nice spa, I'm not sure about the cost of it though.

There are a couple of Aveda Salons & Spas on the 16th St. mall. Also the Brown Palace as mentioned.

I will be visiting Denver soon and would like to visit a nice Spa while I'm there. Any recommendations?

I'll need one that's open after 6:00 or so since I will be busy during the day.

The Aveda spa at the Hotel Monaco.

This site has one spa listed in Denver at the Marriott
http://www.wahanda.com/destination/north-america/united-states/colorado

Hope this helps

If you're looking for a very nice high-end spa, there's one at the Brown Palace Hotel, as well as the Hotel Monaco and the Oxford. There's also Pura Vida in Cherry Creek. Infact, Cherry Creek has tons of spas.

A lovely little spa I really enjoyed is in the Highlands neighborhood (not Highland's Ranch) called Indulgences Day Spa. It's in a cute little victorian house, and they have good customer service.

I am going to Denver tommorrow to visit some friends. What should I do?

I don't know much about CO and and have never been there before. Any suggestions on what I should do while I'm there all week? I will also be going to Golden and Ft. Collins as well to visit other friends. I like outdoorsy stuff, going out to eat, pubs, spas....pretty much everything. Thanks.

First, if you want good Mexican food...don't go to Casa Bonita. The ambience is fun and different but the food isn't all that great (I would prefer Taco Bell).

Lo-Do (Lower Downtown) is a great place to hang out, bar hop, try fine dining, or enjoy the nightlife. In Golden you can visit the Coors factory and end with some free tastings. You can also check out the gambling towns, which are quaint and full of history like Central City. Ft. Collins is more of a college town so nothing particular really comes to mine there.

i live in colorado near denver it depends ther iz the zoo znd ther iz the minire musin ther iz toun or things you can go down t o the springs and ther are graet mountians and you can go hiking

The Denver zoo. There is a great Mexican restaurant called Casa Bonita's. If you like to gamble there is Blackhawk. In Golden you can go on a tour of the Coors factory.

If you're coming to visit friends, I'm sure they have plenty of places they are planning to take you. All the local sights and eateries. Just let them be your guides.

DO NOT GOTO CASA BONITAS! that place serves cafateria food (literally) if you like outdoors then you need to know that the Colorado Rockies are 15-20 min drive from Denver thats what makes Denver so great.

Ask them to take you to Boulder and maybe to Estes Park. Both are absolutely beautiful and you'll understand the reasons why the locals here love the mountains, especially if you go on a hike! As far as restaurants, I used to work at "Tamayo" on 14th and Larimer and it's super yummy (kinda pricey, but worth it) it's considered upscale mexican food. And then I agree with the gal above, if you go out LoDo is the place to go...lots of bars to choose from and lots of fun people. Have fun, but be careful! You might not want to go home! :o)

Go shopping downtown and at the sixteenth street mall. The zoo and the museum are nearby as well as the aquarium. Six flags (which is an amusement park) is also nearby so if it's nice out that's always fun.
As for Fort Collins you can try downtown go shopping, get something to eat etc. There is a bowling ally called Chipper's Lane on mason street. There are three movie theaters (including a two dollar). You can go up to horsetooth reservoir or to the national park (cannot remember the name). There is also a drive in movie theater which plays double features.
Hope you have fun Colorado is an awesome place, I love living here.

spa business?

I am thinking of opening up my own Spa in Denver. Since it is a luxury to get pedicures, massages, and other skin care service I wonder if that business is even a good idea? In terms of success rate and expected competition?

Spa are really very popular now. Many resorts now offer spa destination travel so you may find that now is a good time for your business. You will need to find your target market and find an area where your target market is. Good luck

What is the best way to build up a massage therapy practice?

My husband is done with school in December. He used to be a massage therapist like 12 years ago, but the rules have changed, so he went back to school to get more hours and is going for his national licensing.

When he is done in Dec - what route would you recommend him to take? What is the average income of a massage therapist? If he works for a spa or chiro clinic could he also get insurance?

We will be living in Colorado *Denver area*

See the private email that I sent you.......another good reason to have Answers! contacts. My wife happens to be a massage therapist and built up her own business.

Offer "happy endings"

Besides several decent books out on the subject, have your hubby find some local schools in his area to see if they will provide any classes in building a massage therapy practice. Your State Health Department probably has a division that manages the massage industry, and they probably can provide a list of licensed schools in your area.

Have you ever thought about this:
If he is a therapist he already got the license and with that could he try to apply in your local/state's home healthcare program to be an independent provider. The home health care program is operated by medicaid and you should be able to find information on the internet on where to apply and so forth. In Ohio, the agency is called Care Star and what they provide is all medical and in home needs to those who qualify, but all of them have medicaid. That would be a good way to start, build a clientle and best of all, it would not require to have a practice from the start--that could be built once the clientle is established and the funds are earned---good luck

There is a site on the internet where you can look up the average income for a massage therapist in Colorado. Try google and type in "massage therapist average salary".

How much to beginning hairstylists make?

I want to be a hairstylist starting in Denver. I want to be involved in a really nice salon or spa. I do not want to start at Great Clips. Is it possible to start anywhere between $35-40K?

that really depends on the salon you go to work in what is the begiining commission percentage and how much do their services start at , and how well do you upsell? (instead of just a cut ) you talk them into color ,waxing deep condtioning. and how productive you are, . lots of luck from a hair designer in florida

80$ a day plus tips like 81.2$ avarage

minimum wage and tips so if your good and have alot of clients you can

Probably not. It depends on the salon, Your abilities and the number of clients willing to stick with you. THe more clients you keep happy the more commitions you make and the more money you make. Remember that the salons pay on commitions of sales and clients, your abilities and then may also pay an hourly wage, which is minimum or not much more.

it's according on how good you are,how many customers you have.My niece makes a average of 120.00$ a day.

probably like 80 to 110 (just a guess)

What's a typical salary or pay structure for estheticians in Denver, Colorado?

Specifically, which kind of employers offer benefits? Where will I make the least income when starting out? Am I better off working in a doctors office, upscale hotel, busy spa, or medispa? Just trying to figure out where the best opportunities are in the Denver market.

Check out salary.com. They should have all the information you're looking for, no matter what area or career/job title you're interested in. Great for researching jobs!

Good luck!

Honeymoon??

I have 2 options I like both what would you chose?

Option 1........ stay in Denver (where we live) stay in mountains for 2 days.... go ATVing, horse back riding and have a nice picnic in the woods. Then come back to Denver Hotel for 2 days have a day at the spa and a nice dinner then goto a couple of the attractions we normally would not spend the money to go.

Option 2.....Goto Vegas 3 days at the Luxor hotel goto a couple expansive shows we have never seen... have a few nice dinners and maybe go swimming.

FYI we don't really do things like the Denver honeymoon even though we live here and we do goto Vegas like once a year or so but we would be able to do things we normally would not do since we have a higher budget. They both cost the same and we like them both the same.

Thanks guys!
These are the two things we can afford and that sound fun so we can't do beach or cruise.

I'm an outdoorsy girl and nothing says romance for me like horseback riding and a spa. I'm endorsing Option #1.

Local Vacation Spots?

Ok, so I live in Denver, CO and the girls and I were all thinking about having a "girls weekend". We were thinking of going some where not too far (meaning nothing longer then maybe a 5 hour drive) for a spa days, party palooza nights type weekend. Any suggestions seriously people! I need places! Not perky little comments telling me anywhere, just remember to have fun...We dont want to fly really trying to keep it under a couple hundred a piece. there's going to be 4 of us. It'll be around the 1st weekend in December

You will be into ski season but there are incredible resorts all around you. However, spa days are NOT doable for a couple of hundred each. If you want to drive a little further, then drive down to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
