Unless your plan is to look like a ghoul for Halloween, smudged eyeliner is a no-no. It is one of the most common makeup problems, and is probably one of the most asked beauty questions, at least for my column.
Personally, this is my biggest makeup issue because my eyeliner always smudges (even at shoots, which is why I always have to warn my makeup artists).
For a time I was resolved not to wear eyeliner until I found a way to prevent it from smearing, which meant my eyes were less defined and pretty for some years, not counting the times when I had a makeup artist to do it for me.
It seems we’ve all had our fair share of eyeliner woes. One too many times we’ve caught a glimpse of our reflection with streaky eye makeup (or simply, raccoon eyes) and since made a conscious effort to avoid this embarrassing fiasco. The lot of us are prone to this, as our eyes get oily throughout the day and cause our eyeliners to slide and settle into our under-eye area. But as much as a touch-up is necessary after a few hours, our makeup should never be all over the place.

You must use an eye makeup remover. Almay and Neutrogena each have one and they are fairly cheap. Baby oil works, too. Next, this belongs in the "beauty" column. I use Neutrogena if I wear eyeliner; but I normally don't.

What color eyeliner should a blonde use?
I am a blonde and i was wondering if blue eyeliner (not light blue but what is called midnight blue) or black or brown eyeliner would look better. I am wearing midnight blue eyeliner right now (it looks like a normal blue) but I want to make my blue eyes pop with the right color eyeliner. Please help me!
mix it up wear different shades of blues like dark blue, light blue, medium blue..but also try different greens. wear like greenish on the top, and bluish on the bottom, and wear like blueish eyeshadow with it..it sounds really wierd but it looks SO good i swear!!
If you have fair skin, then a lighter blue eyeliner would look good.
Dark eyeliner on fair skin with blonde hair can look too much.
If you have darker skin then depending on the tone, a darker color like midnight blue would be fine. Try different ones on and you'll be able to tell what looks too over-the-top. Hope this helps! =]

However, my friend is also blonde and somewhat pale, but she has brown eyes, and she wears a shimmery grey eyeliner which looks AMAZING on her.
But do not use green eyeliner, it looks horrible on anyone I've ever seen it on.

How do I apply eyeliner the correct way?
Am I supposed to put eyeliner on the "waterline" (pink line just below the eye), or below the waterline? I use pencil eyeliner and after a couple minutes I put it on, it smudges and almost dissappears. My eyes get a little watery. What's the best brand of pencil eyeliner? and supposedly wearing liner on ur waterline will make your eyes appear smaller. well... that's if you wear it all the way around i think. but if its just the top then it will just make your top and lashes look thicker and darker.
What eyeliner will give me the best results paired with my very oily eyelids?
I have tried to put foundation on my lower eyelid/corner of my eye before i put eyeliner on as well as went over the eyeliner with eyeshadow. The eyeliner still comes right off in less then an hour.
I have this problem. I usually put on oil-blotting matte first, then use either water-proof eyeliner or liquid eyeliner, which lasts longer than the pencils.

I have skin like indian people pretty dark fair tan (very tan) brown not to light though. I was wondering what eyeliner looks best on me. i usually wear black eyeliner but it seems like noone can tell that im wearing it. my friend said that baby blue looks good on me but before i try it can anyone tell me if thats to dramatic and what actually looks good.
Baby blue WOULD look good one you - and no, I don't think it will look TOO dramatic. Try metallic eyeliners - like silver or gold. Or try white. That'll make your peepers - pop - .

How do you keep eyeliner from getting a crease and to stay longer?
