Rice Facial Recipe

Use the natural cleansing power of rice to get rid of blackheads and dead skin cells. First, soak a few grains in cold water overnight. The next day grind the rice to prepare a fine paste.

Apply the facial on your skin and leave it on until it dries. Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Include this ritual into your weekly beauty regime for dazzling results.
Milk and Orange Peels Facial

Citrus fruits are perfect to eliminate impurities from the depth of your pores. In order to enjoy the cleansing effect of orange, dry the peels of a medium-sized fruit, then grind them to create a fine powder.

In order to revitalize your skin, grab a bowl and mix 1 tsp of powder with a tiny amount of milk. The soft mixture can be applied on your skin and neck. Leave the treatment on for 10 minutes and finally rinse it off with tepid water.
Mint and Chamomile Facial

Combine these two magical ingredients

What does it take to get facial skin clean?

It seems like no matter what I try, I can't seem to get my facial skin clean enough.

I scrub with hot water, a sponge and glycerin soap. I can scrub until my skin squeaks and feels raw. It makes no difference, because I still end up with a lot of grime on the cotton ball when I follow up with astringent toner. I use benzoyl peroxide cream after the astringent.

What the devil does it take to get facial skin REALLY clean?

Start by washing face with plain warm water. It will open up your pores. Cold water will make your pores close up and you can't get as deep of a clean that way. Use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. Apply to your entire face and neck. Leave it on there for a few minutes. Remove with a wet wash cloth and scrub your face a little while removing the cleanser. Follow up with toner.

Well, with all of the irritants you're using, no wonder you get so dirty! Hot water on your sensitive facial skin? Scrubbing hard until it feels raw? Be gentle. Try washing gently and thoroughly with warm water and a mild soap. Pay special attention to the chin, nose, and forehead. (also called the T-zone) Don't wash too often either. All that does is take away the protective oils of your skin away faster than they can reproduce. Without that last protecting layer, your pores will be open for all the dirt and grime to come and and cause blackheads, whiteheads, and grease. And maybe it's the toner that you're finding on the cotton ball; who knows? Try to skip the toner one night and check out the results. Good luck.

P.S. If this is no help, try asking a professional dermatologist. Good luck!

How to treat pitted facial skin and avoid further damage?

I have facial acne for quite a long time and still having it. The most common acne I have is zit. I have at least 3 of them every morning. Because it is really uncomfortable going out with those on my face so I pop them every morning. Problem is after years of doing it, my facial skin is full of pits and scars. So if you know anyway to treat/avoid further pitted facial skin then please help me out. Thanks in advance!

Don't pick them anymore. At this point you should see a dermatologist for advice and treatment.

First and most importantly, DON'T PICK ANYMORE! I know you've probably heard it a million times and...it's easier said than done. It IS important though, cuz you'll just continue to scar, it breaks the pimples underneath your skin spreads the bacteria and...causes more pimples. The VERY BEST treatment for the the acne, (in my opinion) is an Rx. cream or jel called ' RETIN A.' Retin A will not only clear up your face now but you can put it on the worse ones at night to dry them up, so you can avoid 'picking' the next day. This cream/jel will also help with healing previous scarring. If it's pretty severe, you'll probably have to look into lazier surgery, or professional dermabrasion procedures. As I said, this is a prescription so you'll have to go to your family Physician for it. Good thing is, you don't HAVE to go to a dermatologist right away. I'm not sure if you have insurance or not and these things can cost quite a bit of money. I would have to say that the 'Retin A' is WELL WORTH IT'S COST! If you're unable to afford this I'm sure you know of over the counter products that may work for you, like proactive or the generic form of it. There are also lots of things you can do to treat your skin more gently, like NOT PICKING, not scrubbing too hard (DO ex foliate once or twice a week though) or over washing your face. Just be more gentle, don't take your stress out on your face! Try not to focus a lot of time an energy worrying. Like I said before, use something to dry up the worse existing one's at night. Whatever you decide on, try to get the best product you can afford and BE PATIENT! Sometimes, good treatments seem to make the acne worse, before it gets better and people give up too early. RETIN A., is, in my opinion your BEST choice though, if you can get a Rx. for it. Don't forget... NO PICKING!

As far as preventing further damage, you need to go to a dermatologist to treat your active acne and you have to stop picking at it. To treat the current acne there are prescription medicines such as Retin-A that have proven to be extremely effective.

If prescription medicine is not the answer you are looking for there are also some alternatives which will help with the acne and some of the superficial scarring. Chemical peels such as alpha hydroxy acid or citric acid peels can be used to treat acne as well as help rejuvenate the skin. Chemical peels take off the surface layer of the skin and help cleanse the pores.

Concerning treatment of the pits and scars on your face there are a number of treatments available once the active acne is brought under control. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion can be used for superficial scarring but will not be as effective against deeper pits and scars. For these there are surgical procedures and dermal fillers that will help but the gold standard of the industry these days is laser treatment. More specifically fractional laser resurfacing such as the Fraxel laser from Reliant Technologies has been shon to be highly effective for treatment of acne scars. This route is not going to be cheap but it is the price of beauty I'm afraid.

Affordable facial skin products that work?

I have tried many drug store facial products. I suffer from black heads and red blemishes on my cheeks and nose. I find that certain products dry my skin to a crisp and moisturizing after prevents the dried effects but makes my skin look and feel oily.

Does anyone know of any facial products that are affordable (Walmart, Shoppers etc.) that they have had success with?

I absolutely love Aveeno Clear Complexion foaming face wash and moisturizing lotion. I won't use anything else at all! It makes my skin so smooth and the tone of my skin has improved 100%. I have both oily and dry skin and I don't have any problems at all. Make sure you splash cold water on your face after you wash with luke warm water to close the pores of you skin!!! This product is at Walmart!

Try the Clinique 3 step for acne prone skin. Yes it is department store brand, but not as expensive as others. I'd go to a macy's or dillards or any where else that sells it and talk to a consultant. They're very friendly.

TRY Clean & Clear SOFT line The oil free and lightweight moisturizer is great and necessary and there is a great scrub that works with the steam in your shower. I found the link: http://www.cleanandclear.com/soft/bathroom.jsp
can be found at Target and large grocery stores

Also Clinique which is found in dept stores
They can skin type you and recommend the right combination of products
Allergy Tested, Dermatolgist Tested, fragrance free, and fairly affordable
oh and they are very generous with samples. You can always ask for a free 10 day supply to try out the product first

How can I make my facial skin look healthier and cleaner?

I'm in my teen years, so i have oily skin. I have the oily skin most teens have, but my skin is sensitive, so i guess it gets irritated much easier and makes it look unhealthy. I just want to know some things to do to make it look healthier. I already use the Clean & Clear facial scrub

start to boil water 5 minutes b4 doing this
crack an egg & let the clear goop fall in a bowl
or if the yellow yolk falls in just seperate with a
spoon & throw the yolk away. beat the clear
part of the egg with a fork
( steam your face with the boiling water
to open your pores, have a towel over your head )
now apply the egg to your face with a cotton ball
let it sit for 15-20 minutes it gonna harden like a mask
so lay down & relax dont smile or laugh :P
wash it off with warm water, then rinse with really cold water
that will tighten your pores .

how do i get rid of bumpy facial skin?

The skin on my face is fairly bumpy in the area between my eyes and sideburns. I try facial pads, noxzema, pro active, milk of magnesia and nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello, First of all, Im not sure what the exact problem is but everyones skin is a little different, sometimes breaks out becuase of sweat or you may just have oily skin, but honestly I would try Clinique, they have a mens line and it isnt too expensive, they sell it in the department stores at malls! Try it.....you wont see an imrprovment right away, but if you continue using it you will gradually see a difference. My husband started using it and he saw a dignificant difference after around 3 or 4 weeks! Good Luck

proactive

regular anti-bacterial gel (like hand sanitizer) then baby oil.

pay a visit to a dermatologist. you may need to go to your regular doctor first to get the referral.

try neutrogena deep clean. it gets rid of dead skin cells. and it doesn't clog pores.

what do you mean by bumps? i live in florida and i get heat bumps every time i got outside for a long while, they usually go away after my skin has cooled of for a day or two ( granted i stay out of the sun). if you're talking about acne or pimples, try neutrogena, i use that and it clears up my skin but then again everybody's different. going to a dermatologist seems best is nothing works. i hope your condition goes away

Try using an exfoliating scrub on your face, followed by a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer.

How to get rid of or balance out uneven facial skin tone?

Is there any way I can even out my skin tone without any dermontologist visits? I have a medium skin tone but uneven because I have white spots on on cheeks. Because of this matter, it makes me look really pale. Please help me balance out my facial skin tone and complextion.

This is a safe, permanent cure using low cost natural oils which are beneficial to the skin. It worked wonders at ridding me of uneven facial skin tone, discolorations, sun spots, even freckles and many other conditions. And it has helped many others.
Use a natural oil - olive oils work really well and are also good for oily skin that is prone to acne, etc.(do a web search "Olive oil treatment for acne, oily skin?") Massage over and over with a quite strong, vigorous motion. Better to use a forward and back action not a circular one using finger tips or sides and front of fingers depending where on face you massage. You will find you can make it more vigorous and can massage for longer as you progress (build up to a 20 to 30 min a session for best and quickest results). The massaging friction forces a fresh, clearer skin to emerge. Initially, the skin has to adjust and if soreness, breakouts or other reactions happen - skin might expel poisons that need to be expelled - then stop and resume when you can. You have to find the pace that works for you . In about 4 - 5 days - depending on how vigorously /how long you have been able to make the massage - you should start to see noticeable results. And in 10 to 15 days you will see even better results. It also gives skin a radiantly healthy glow and tightens and rejuvenates skin. The oil quickly absorbs into skin so simply splash face with water and dab dry with tissues. You will not need to use any other treatment ever again! As olive oil is a natural moisturizer, you will not need to use any other. Some skin clinics may tell you to only massage gently but this treatment has only been beneficial to the many who have tried it. Try it - you will be happy that you did!

Start with a exfoliator.

How can I improve my facial skin?

Hello, how can I improve the quality of my facial skin? I have quite large pores and oily skin. I also have a scar near my eye, which I have had for about 10 years. Which products could I use to improve these problems? I have never really bothered to look into these kind of things before and the whole skin care market is so confusing to me, so names of items would be really helpful.

Thank you.

u have to take regular facials once a month
//

Good work. No spelling mistakes.

don't touch it
wash with a facial cleanser twice a day
moisturize
remove make-up before bed (if your a girl)
use sunscreen (no matter what race or skin color u are)
drink lots of water!
eat fatty acids and healthy foods

best wishes <3

Exfoliate with an abrasive scrub every three days. Use Vitamin C serum on the skin...makes it glow. The scar won't go, but it may look better with a retinol cream from doctors or bio oil.

maybe try a product called bio oil for your scar. it improved the general look of my face but the acne/pimples i guess all i know of is facial clensing and exfolitating.

Uhh, try Olay's Microderbrasion products, they work wonders i just used it last night, if you buy it use it about once every 2 weeks on a Saturday, or a Sunday if you want your skin to look nice on Monday. And for the scar you get this Nutragena stuff for scars, its a very good product! Sorry i cant come up with the name of it at the moment, so good luck and use Coco Butter on the scar to help the appearance!
Best of luck!!

okay i'm glad i read what that tinkerbell girl typed.
you should not use stuff w/ exfoliation and like little beads in it.
it will irritate your face.
i use a toner from clinique and you can buy that at like dillards or belk

okay phew. always put on a little moisturinzer before you go to bed and when you get up.

they do make pore minimizer stuff by neutrogena and stuff liek that and they sell it at target and walmart

so good luck!!

it's important to wash, tone and moisterise your skin everyday. i tried nearly every cleanser in the market and hated all, however i tried Pro active and it was the best choice i ever made, but i only cleansed with it once a day, (at nights, night times is a time your skin works to rejuvinate it self) and used a nivea moisterser instead of their one, i found that their moisteriser would dry my skin and if cleansed twice a day it it'll also dry it.
also one important thing at nights keep your hair out of your face and make sure your PILLOW CASE is always clean before you go to bed at nights, no use cleansing your face and putting it on a dirty pillow for 8 hours

Some great creams here http://www.buyantiagingcream.com/

Clearasil Spot Control is a 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Facial Scrub, theres a 2 for £5 offer at superdrugs and for the scar bio-oil always works but it is quite expensive. Good Luck X

For the scar try using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion. 99p for a mini at Superdrug/Boots.
For your skin care regime I recommend Dermalogica. They specialise in all sorts of facial concerns, including large pores and oily skin. Just go on their site and find your nearest dermatologist who will find the right products to match your skin type =] x

Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

Can anyone explain why my facial skin loosens as the day progresses?

Serious answers please.

For some reason when im tired (not enough sleep even if the last several nights before that i had good 8 hours of sleep) or by the end of the day my facial skin is noticably (by that i mean visabily) looser. For instance my cheeks are saggier somewhat, my nose is fatter because the skin around the cartilage loosens. I'm only 24. I lift weights for exercise. Anyone know why this maybe?

What is the remedy or solution to a very dry facial skin?

I have a very sensitive skin that my dermatologist suggests that i use facial steam 3x a day then in the evening apply vit. e on my face. But lately my skin is becoming dry? Can you give me a remedy or solution that i can use to prevent a very dry skin?

I suspect you do not drink enough water. And stop with the steam! The water you are exposing your skin to is removing what little oil you have! I strongly suggest taking 1 tablespoon of oil per day...will help your skin become more oily, and does lots of other good things also. The best hydration of skin is from the inside, not the outside. Keep moisturizers on skin (prevents water loss and drying). Olay is as good as any, and is inexpensive. DO not get this stuff around the skin of your eyes...will dry that skin out, believe it or not. IF you do as I have suggested, within a month or so, your skin will be much better. And you will not have spent a fortune on it (useless waste of money). Good Luck

What is the proper way to care for your skin? What is a facial?

For a woman!

What is included in a daily facial/skin care routine?

Does it go like this?

Wash with scrubbing stuff
Wash with facial soap
Wash with cleanser
Put on lotion
Put on eye cream
Put on sunscreen
Put on makeup

How is this supposed to go?

What exactly is a facial anyway?
Can I buy the stuff I need at the store?

Its a surprise for my wife!

Before we start with the proper daily step-by-step skincare routine, you'll need to know her skin type. How you care for your skin is utterly dependent on the type of skin you have: oily, normal/combination, dry, sensitive or sun- damaged.

The characteristics of skin are:

Normal to Dry:
Normal – Not too oily or dry, few blemishes, skin is firm and is generally smooth with small pores. Dry – Due to sun and age, skin may lack natural oils. May look smooth with fine pores, few blackheads and blemishes.

Normal to Oily:
Normal – Not oily or dry, few blemishes, skin is firm and is generally smooth with small pores. Oily – Shiny and coarse, may have recurring blackheads and enlarged pores, often youthful looking.

Combination:
Oily T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). Normal to dry around cheeks and throat. Can be oily along chin, jaw, temples and dry elsewhere.

Acne/Blemishes:
Generally oily. Blackheads and pimples. Potential scarring and pitting.

Sensitive:
Extremely delicate. Broken capillaries, veins and vessels beneath skin surface. Should not be over stimulated.

Mature:
Fine lines. Loose, “crépe-like” appearance. Loss of elasticity.

After choosing your skin type now we can proceed with the step-by-step for a good skin care regimen. This is my skin care regimen from Arbonne http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com

Step 1: NutriMinC RE9 REnewing Gelée Créme, Hydrating Wash Should be used in the morning and evening.

Step 2: NutriMinC RE9 REveal Facial Scrub or NutriMinC RE9 RElease Deep Pore Cleansing Masque (this is optional to the set) Used after cleansing up to two times per week.

Step 3: NutriMinC RE9 REstoring Mist Balancing Toner Should be used in the morning and evening.

Step 4: NutriMinC RE9 REversing Gelée Transforming Lift
In the morning or on special occasions, wait at least two or three minutes before applying NutriMinC RE9 Reactivating Facial Serum Day & Night.

Step 5: NutriMinC RE9 REactivating Facial Serum Day/ Night
Should be used in the morning and evening, used after RE9 Toner if not using RE9 Lift

Step 6: NutriMinC RE9 REality Day Crème or NutriMinC RE9 Recover Night Crème Day Crème used in the morning, Night Crème in the evening.

Step 7: NutriMinC RE9 REpair Corrective Eye Crème
Should be used in the morning and evening.

Following these steps you will definately give her the best gift ever!!! The amazing results are awesome
