The venue
Bliss Spa, of New York fame, has created arguably the funkiest spa in the Middle East, not to mention the most fun, at W Doha. Designed in true W style with clean lines, blues, whites and contemporary fixtures with a slight hint of Arabian influence, this facility is appealing at first sight. The reception is part of the retail outlet, which boasts a bevy of Bliss products, which leads to designated male and female treatment areas. The female area is well designed with every amenity imaginable on tap. From here, customers are led to the chill out area where home-made chocolate brownies are served.
The treatment
Bliss is famous for its trademark, tongue-in-cheek menu of facials, blissful massages, body treatments, waxing and nail service and Bliss in Doha is no exception, offering the full range including the signature ‘triple oxygen’ facial, which I plumped for. I was immediately made to feel at ease by the therapist who tucked me into the comfy heated bed. She was very professional and talked me through each process, plus she was polite, yet natural and chatty, rather than too cold and formal as some therapists tend to be.

I agree with iitsme... too many things can go wrong, ingrown hairs, wax burns, tearing skin...
Facial waxing shouldn't be that expensive, and it will save you a LOT of heartache doing it yourself.
Wash face, blow off wax a lil before applying, rub on strip, and rip quick! after apply an after waxing lotion/
Is it ok Microdermabrasion and facial waxing on the same day?
I am planning a spa day and I need to know if I can I get Microdermabrasion plus mini facial and get my face waxed on the same day?
I would wait at least 24 hours between the 2 procedures, because both can irritate your skin. You could end up with a really red,raw,blotchy face if you do both on the same day. Give your skin time to heal between proedures definitely.

How do I prevent scabs after facial waxing?
Sometimes I wax my top lip at home and after waxing scabs appear. I think it might be because I dont get all the wax off. I really need to know how to prevent irrition and scabs because when I show up to work with a red top lip its a dead give away that I just waxed the night before and alot of time its really embarrassing.
i just that lotion that dissolves hair instead of wax. i got one from Avon

Hey guys, i am ONLY 12 years old.
I have hair on the top of my lip and it looks like a moustache. I REALLY WANNA GET RID OF IT! I decided to buy waxing strips, but which one works good, makes the hair grow back thinner and lighter, and last a long time and of course are not expensive? And i am thinking about buying them at walmart.
Oh and does anyone have a plan on how i can buy them without my mom knowing ? Its embarassing asking your mom to buy thoes things. :[

They do have strips there and you have to read the box and make sure it's made for it. They work, because I've tried it also. But I prefer the hot wax to strips.
Question For Peaople Who Do Facial Waxing?
Hey guys, lets say i buy 2 boxes of facial waxing at walmart, when will i have to go back and get more? (Like how long will 2 boxes last?) And aslo, lets say for some reason i cant go get another box.. and my hairs grow back, will it show a lot? Or less than what it showed before i started waxing?

If you are a girl - Just go pay $7 bucks at a nail shop or salon to have your face waxed. It's cheaper and less mess in the long run.
you hair should not be any more noticeable then it currently is. i've heard that it's a complete myth that once you shave or wax your hair grows back more coarse.
it depends on the size...if you are doing an upper lip and brow two boxes of even the smaller size should last you a couple months....the bigger the size its going to last longer. like i told you yesterday you can save the wax and re-use it if you become desperate.
and yes the facial hair will grow back and be just as noticable as it was before

i have used the home products but i have always found that they left my sensitive skin around my eyes irritated. my eyebrows were always left a very akward shape. if i were you i would splurge on an eyebrow wax but use the drugstore product for upper lip and cheeks because the shape isnt important or precise. i liked nair the most out of all the products i tried, i also liked aveeno cream after, it kept the swelling and stinging to a minimum. good luck!

Generally, when buying things like that, I go by price-- usually the higher prices are better!!
Sensitivity is not a problem. and you can reuse the used wax for a time.

why does skin sometimes come off when body or facial waxing?
I am a cosmetologist and i preform facial waxing, once and a while a client's skin will come off, also when i get my underarms waxed the skin always comes off. supposing everything is done right(skin pulled taught, pulling oppisite direction ect.) what else could cause this?
That happened to me and the results were horrible for a few days. I didnt know what had happened and then I remembered that I had been using RetinA from my dermatologist. Ask them what they are using on their face. RetinA makes your very intolerant to waxing and the sun. It make me have a really bad sunburn as well.

i do it from time to time (lets say twice a year) and my face glows after, is like a very very deep exfoliation!.

that is a myth, shaving does not make hairs thicker, it's just obvious when it grows back.
wax. it's painful but it lasts longer and works.
use a depilatory cream. they stink though and burn your skin.
or, pay hundreds of dollars for ipl.
