I would not advise great lengths. It is very, very expensive and does not last longer than a few months. I sell human hair extensions(clip-ins) that are the least expensive on the market. I want to get extension but I need to know a bit about how these extensions work from people that've had them. Great Length extensions are offered at valentinos.
How do they attach the hair?

Great Lengths Hair Extension in Canada pricing and tips please!?
My hair used to be down to my waist, wavy not curly, and I stupidly got it layered last week and I miss my long hair now. I'm wanting to know how much it would approximately cost me to get human hair extensions (Great Lengths seems the brand/way to go) to get it back to what it was. Should I check out Ebay and buy some extensions there? And if so, would a hairstylist use them or do I have to purchase their brand? I'm trying to save $$$ if possible.On ebay it says you can buy different amounts of strands so how many does someone typicallly need? And I keep seeing Remy or Femy real hair? is there a trusted brand on ebay I can safely buy? I mostly want the length back, it doesn't have to be super full of volume. Can someone help me before I make another mistake? Thx!
Go to a salon that does extensions and talk to them about it. Explain to them that you would like to save $$$$ and ask if it's ok to bring in hair that you purchased instead of purchasing it from the salon. My guess is they will say no to that only because they would want to ensure the quality and integrity of the hair they are using in your hair. Good luck!!!!

I'm thinking of spending the $1500 on a having 'great lengths hair extensions' put into my hair... but i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of hair extensions??
I just had it done for $500, it's awesome. You have to be careful about brushing and stuff though, or they'll come out.
The bonds damaged my hair a bit but nothing major.
Then I got clip ins but they are annoying to put in everyday.
Now I sell a 100% Remy human hair extension kit, that requires no glue, no chemicals, and no heat.
You can style them, dye them, curl them, blow dry them - and they have a very natural look. You can remove them one month and put them back in the next month, whatever you wish. The hair is just as good as Great Lengths.
You can apply them yourself at home (like I do), grab a friend or ask your hairdresser to apply them for you. (the cheapest way is to do it yourself of course)
People always comment on how great my hair looks, even 2 months later.

I have had 36 strands just randomly fall out and they shed like there is no tomorrow! Every time I brush my hair I have about a handful of the extension hair come out in the brush.
I do not recommend this product AT ALL!
My girl friend got Great Length the same time as me and she has not lost one hair! I am getting my Remy extensions taken out after only having them one month because they are not durable and with the amount of hair that I am losing on a daily basis, the thickness that I paid for is now in a bag in my closet.
I am getting Great Lengths put in right after these cheap garbage extensions are gone. What a waste of money they were!
So yes, go with the Great Lengths, nothing else! My girlfriend has had hers for about 3 years on and off and they always last about 7 or 8 months. Not 1 month like mine. :(

I live in westchester county ( in new york ) and had great lengths extensions applied to my hair about 2 months ago. If you look around you can find some good prices. I paid $1200 to have my great lengths extensions applied professionally. The length of my extensions are 20 inches. Prices range up to $4000 so look around because there are some places that will bargain with you. The extensions are suppose to last up to 6 months with proper care. You can wash it, go swimming, and style as usual. These extensions are definitely worth the money. Good luck finding what your looking for.

Is the texture of Great Lengths Hair Extensions diverse enough for African American hair?
I have been doing research on Great Lengths hair extensions but do not see any references that the textures of the hair are diverse enough to be used for Caucasians as well as African Americans. Can anyone who has used this hair system or works with the system tell me how the hair compares to the traditional "permed straight" texture? Thank you.
Their "permed straight" is a little softer and easier to style but still blends well with the natural.

Great Lengths is probably the most expensive and best method. The glue is not hard to take out in any fusion extension.
