i think streaks are much more noticable and thick, while highlights are thinner and look a bit more natural

I guess the difference would be the ammount, a highlight is a lot of color, where streaks maybe would only be a few .

If you have dark brown, to almost black hair, then I suggest go with a chestnut brown. they will look like natural sun-kissed highlights, and everyone will love them, and compliment you on your hair, because you will look Absolutely amazing!!!

this would look nice. If you want something natural looking go with 1-2 shades lighter then you natural color. If not then do a blonde to make it stand out but not on the top of your hair probably some peekaboos. Also Doing it on the underlayers of your hair like the one in the picture won't cause ppl to see your roots like it would on the top layer. good luck!
If you want lots of small thin highlights all over a caramel or toffee colour is nice!

i have three colors in mind: blue, red, or purple.
if i get blue, its gunna be bright blue,if i get red, its gunna be bright red, but if i get purple it will be darker, because i dont want to get neon purple[im gunna stand out... i wanted to get it though].
If conservative then brown.
But if you want something more simple, maybe an auburn or a deep red.
Can you use jazzing hair color when you already have highlights? If so, will it effect the highlight color?
I just recently had red highlights put in my hair, my hair is pretty dark so it didn't show up as bright as I would have like them to. I thinking about getting a hair rinse in my hair to add to the effect of the highlights.Will it alter the highlight color or will it stay the same??????????? What will happen exactly after the rinse is put in?
The jazzing will coat on top of the hair color. the highlighted hair will be slighlty different -depending on the color you choose. I had dyed hair w/ streaks and I put jazzing on top to hide a few grays and to tone down the color. Do a patch or strand test!! It will rinse out in a few weeks anyway...

the best is socolor but it's only available to lic cosmotologists,I still use clairol with great results (#87), i would try a lighter shade of the hair color you have now, or auburn.

A deep red mahogony type of color, any type of rich red, or a caramel/medium brown always looks nice with brunettes. Also, try some red-violets, or pure violets. Just stick with darker colors. Bleach blonde highlight looks HORRIBLE with brown hair. Don't do it. It's tacky and ugly.
