Crash halts Buckhead hair weave getaway Atlanta Journal Constitution

Atlanta Police Capt. Van Hobbs said police are investigating whether the suspects, four of whom were taken into custody after the crash off Sidney Marcus Boulevard, are responsible for other similar robberies in metro Atlanta.

The robbery occurred just before 2:30 a.m. in a shopping center at the corner of Piedmont Road and Sidney Marcus Boulevard.

Police told Channel 2 Action News the suspects smashed windows at Sandy’s Hair Care Co. and the Scottish Tobacco store next door, and almost got away with 93 packages of hair extensions worth $13,000 and 13 cartons of cigarettes.

After seeing they had attracted the attention of an off-duty police officer working security at a Waffle House across the street, the suspects fled in a silver car. The vehicle, however, crashed into a tree a short time later.

Four of the suspects were arrested after the crash, but the fifth got away on foot, police said.

Sandy’s Hair Care owner Jonathan Lee told Channel 2 the suspects knew “exactly what to take.”

hair weave?

o.k so I'm a white girl with a crazy hair looking to get a weave..I've looked into several techniques and came to conclusion that net weave would be the best. I was hoping to get some tips from ppl who have had it before like the how much does it last. I found that price range is anywhere from 150-300$ but I don't know if that includes only braiding the hair and putting net on or does it include hair too. How much would it cost to retouch it? Can hair be of any lenght? Sorry if these questions seem silly, thanx for help!
P.S. Also if anyone can reccomend a salon in NYC area that would be great

Take this from a "sista" if you have a hard time retouching it
1. take it out
2. wash it out
3. dry it out
4. Put it back in
or just buy new ones but here is some websites:

ok so, i'm going to suggest you get a baldie instead. bald-headed women, especially white chicks, look super sexy.

stop copying the "sistas"

Tip of the day

hair weave break the hair or if your hair is in excellent condition it will only produce minimal damage. But i assume that since you are asking that you want to get a weave, so I suggest braiding for your weave and not glued in tracks.

Hey girl! first of all race dont matter when getting a hair weave.. I know a stylist in brooklyn her name is Soneitha she does a full hair weave for $120 this last for about 2 and a half months , by then you would need to go get the hair removed and reinstalled .. I go all the day way from the bronx and get my hair done with her... this is her number its by appointment 646-462-5541. Also in order to a good hair weave you should buy human hair because you can re-use it which saves you lots of money. I recommend getting the hair from a company called Lexys hair .. this is her site www.lexyshair.com she is also in brooklyn this is her phone number (718)940-1141.. I dont know what texture of hair you have .. but she is an expert in custom blending hair to the t! she sells it by the oz .. for a full weav u wud need 8oz of hair. I hope I have helped you if you need any further assistance dont hesitate in contacting me this is my email latingirly112484@yahoo.com if you need me to take you the salon I dont mind just let me know. My name is Alicia by the way! Good luck

What type of hair to buy for asian hair weave?

I'm looking to get a hair weave, but I'm asian with typical stick straight and shiny asian hair with no texture. Most of the hair extension information out there is geared toward either african-americans or european-americans, so it's hard to know what is best for my hair. I'm looking for the best unprocessed human hair that would match my hair texture. Any ideas on what to get and where to get it?

Get european silky straight as the style. Also you're going to want hair that is Remi/Remy weft, as this hair is human, less likely to tangle and also the hair keeps the roots and ends together which causes the hair to tagle less and last longer. Best weave brands are Boheme, Velvet and Black Diamond in that order. They are all expensive but worth it as they look extremely natural and will last for 6 months or so. So you can take your weave out and still reuse the hair if you need to. Boheme is about $70 per pack, Velvet $60 and Black Diamond $50 that for 10 inches. The longer the weave the more it costs. Sally's is a really generic beauty supply they probably won't have what you need. Try a more ethnic beauty supply, they have awesome deals and a lot of variety.

Sally's beauty salon would be able to head your in the right direction

What is the best brand of hair weave to buy?

I currently buy yaki hair, but in different brands. It always looks nice the first few days, but after that, it is obvious that i have a weave in my hair because it starts to get tangled. I perfer wavy/curly styles and price isn't a big issue. PLEASE let me know what brands last for at 2-3 weeks!

Try Sensationnel Hair...I use it all the time and I never have any problems. Very manageable!!

i was gona say yaki and also milky way

I dont know where abouts you live but try going into some of the black hair shops near you and asking them, they may tell you a pricey one so you can spend big money but you can only try. Ive never had weave in but my friends do so I know what you mean, a friend has suggested Milky Way or Premium.
Good Luck

try Hollywood. The hair looks just like your own and it's very manageable specially wavy/curly

How do I stop my hair weave from tangling and looking frezzy?

I wear a sow in weave. I listened to my hairstyles and bought Milky Way Platnuim hair. Sometimes it tangles in the back and looks frezzy. What product can I use to stop the tangles and frezziness?

Milky Way hair is terrible and it sheds! Try Sensationnel Goddess REMI next time.

Since you have a sewn in weave, try using the forum in the source below.

rinse your hair in cold water

You can use Silk Sun Frizz-free conditioner...you can find it cheap at walmart or target...It gets rid of all the frizz!

=]...Hope I could help!

dont get the cheap kind....get the good and straight kind like human hair....the quality stuff....also u can flat iron and bumper curl it as well....

What is a hair weave and how do they work?

Last year, when I was 16, I lost alot of my hair due to chemotherapy, not all of it, but alot. It was very long and thick and I have been contemplating getting a weave but I don't know exactly what it is or how much they cost so could someone please let me know, and also, how do they differ from extensions?
Thanks.

Hair weave is actually weaved (braided/sewn) onto your already existing hair. I've heard they weave it in pretty tight. They can be somewhat expensive depending on the hair type you choose. They can be cut and styled to your preference though. Extensions are to make existing hair look fuller but they are strands of hair rather than a whole track of hair like a weave is. Hope that helps.

What is the best kind of hair weave for a tropical vacation?

I am going to Panama where I will spend several days on the beach in a cabana with limited electricity. I want to get a weave so I don't have to worry about my hair. It is chin length and relaxed. Any ideas? Or reccomendations in the Newark /Elizabeth/ Jersey City Nj areas?

I would get a wet and wavy sewin, so you can get it wet and wash it

I want to start a business selling hair weave and hair products. Where can you buy hair weave for businesses?

I would like to sell weave and different hair products. How can I find a supplier and if I would have to order products from the USA or another country.

sally beauty supplies.

there ebst for hair products, and u can order from them and such.

www.hairsisters.com and www.beautyink.com have weave/hair products cheap there. Their prices are really good. You can maybe buy in bulk but I don't really know.

I've ordered from beautyink.com before and they ship products quickly.

I am going to do my friends hair but we are not sure how much hair weave we need for a full head, We are doing the sew-in weaving. and Any ideas where to find a good weave? or any affordable prices?

How do you get weave bond glue out of your hair after taking extentions out?

I was so desperate to get hair extentions i glues the hair weave on my hair [everyones says not to because it ruins your hair but hey, i was desterate.] but its been a month so i decided to take the hair out but now theres weave glue all through out my hair. does anyone know how to get it out?

Well I wear weave all the time and I glue it in so I am a pro first of all spray some oil sheen on your hair and let it sit for a while, then get some conditioner and let it sit and wash it out and comb it through at the same time and you should be good!
