Walt Disney World Resort Update MousePlanet
The Magic Kingdom closed at 1 a.m., so all three monorail loops were still in operation, ferrying people to the Magic Kingdom resort hotels, the Transportation and Ticket Center, and the Epcot parking lot. It took approximately two hours to evacuate the remaining three trains. All three trains were eventually towed into stations to allow passengers to get off, though the Reedy Creek Fire Department began evacuating one of the trains using a ladder until the tow vehicle became available for that train. The fire department trains regularly for such a rescue operation, though it is unusual that they actually had to put the training to some use. No passengers were injured.
Disney issued a statement reiterating their commitment to safety and noting that they train for this type of situation with the fire department. They also noted that they are working with the affected guests.
Engaging in some personal speculation, it is likely that the computer system failure caused the power outage as a security failover process to prevent any accidents while the automated traffic system was not functioning. However, redundant hard disk drives can compensate for such a failure, and will probably be part of the remediation effort to prevent a future reoccurrence.

Do I want an ozonator for my hot tub?
I am buying a hot tub. All my friends recommend an ozonoator - say it really helps with stabilizing the chemicals. The hot tubs sales stores that we've been to consistently say we really don't need them. Is this a sales technique (tell the customer a truth, so they'll buy the hot tub from you)? Is this just a way to make more money off of the chemicals? Or is this the truth - you really don't need an ozonator. I've heard that the chemical difference is 1 tsp vs. 1/2 tsp w/an ozonator.
Ozonator is much healthier chlorine and bromine are not good for you anyway. Just better than a bacterial infection
Hot Tub sales really lucrative or pie in the sky ?
anyone out there ever sold hot tubs for a living ? Is 60K per year an attainable number or is it just a pie in the sky gig ? Saw an ad for this type of job and I'm guessing your base is like 20K and good luck on selling 40K worth of tubs....or is this for real ? anyone have any experience here ?
We sold two major brands of tubs that are in the top ten. I paid my sales people $10 an hour, they also made 5% of all sales above 5k, 2.5% from $2500-$5000. In an average week each person would sell one pool table with accessories avg. $4500. (making $112.50) and three Hot Tubs averaging $8600 (making $430 per sale for a total of $1290). We were not greedy when it came to our mark ups therefore we sold more tubs in the long run making more money then our competition. I had a very sharp english speaking Japanese born lady that went after the building market and she made slightly over 110k in one year. The question if the dealer is good/flexible and has good products.
I need hot tub statistics including purchase decisions, usage, demographics and more.?
I'm helping out a local business in Manitoba Canada and need to find out some statistics about hot tub sales, usage and anything else useful. Any info on who's buying, including demographics, incomes, and also what additional products these people have in common will be extremely useful.

Hot tub desirable in home sale??
My husband and I have a chance to get a really nice hot tub for free. We are selling our home asap and we are putting the final touches on landscape to finish the backyard and are wondering if getting the hot tub would be worth it? Would a potential buyer think a hot tub was desirable? If we get it, it will take a bit of work on our part to fit it into the landscape of the yard so I am just wondering if anyone thinks it would be worth it in the end when our house goes on the market. Thanks for your opinions!! Oh, and just in case you are wondering...it IS a nice hot tub. Clean and hardly used by the previous owners. It wouldn't be like putting a junker in the yard.
If it is free it is a great idea.
Unless the area is for upwardly mobile where image is important and your neighbours have boats in their yards, that sort of thing it is likely to make your house harder to sell as those moving in cannot do with the yard what they want until they have got rid of the hot tub.
If hot tubs are so great why are your friends giving you one for free?
bought hot tub, using it for days, dealer wants it back, saying wrong one delivered, isn't sale final?
purchased tub from local ad in paper, great price, after speaking to gent, he stated it was a research tub with a 90 day warranty, thousand dollars cheaper than same tub with 2 year warranty. I bought the cheaper one. It is running, have been using it, I paid them when they delivered it. Now he calls 4 days after the sale saying I got the wrong tub, but for 500.00 can keep it and get 2 year warranty, otherwise he wants to come and switch tubs. The contract says all sales final. I signed it on the delivery day. What a hassle. Should I pay the extra 500.00? His mistake, if it was one, and I keep the tub? Any thoughts, can I legally keep the tub we have been using?
keep it ,his mistake he can't touch you
what else will I need to get to make my free hot tub work right?
I am thinking of getting a free hot tub. I mean I see them all the time. I see hot tubs for sale for thousands of dollars and I am thinking why not be one of theose people who get something for almost nothing.... but there is always a catch right? So I am thinking before I get one I will find out what else I need, and if its something I can get for cheap or is it gonna cost me an arm and a leg. I mean I know I will need chemicals, but beyond that. If I get just the shell for free, I figure I will need to build a box to hold it, sometimes I see them with it for free though, but a box and a hot tub for free... then what.
Hi...the above guy is correct for the most part. You best bet is to buy a new Balboa VS retrofit spa pack that will come with the electronic controls, a new heater and all the controls with a three year warranty to boot. Next you might need to buy some new pumps that can easily run $325-$450. Labor will run around $65 an hour. Look on the bright side for basically you can $1500 you can get yourself a new hot tub on the inside.

Installing a Hot Tub?
I want to install a hot tub in my backyard. It will be in a private location in my backyard.
How much does a 4-6 person hot tub cost? What does it costs to run and maintain one yearly?
How long, if taken good care of, will my hot tub last (years)?
Does having a hot tub add to your re-sale value?
A hot tub can cost from 3,000 to up to 6,000, to maintain a month is around 20-35.00 more on your electric bill depending on the weather. Hotter will cost much less a month. And buy a cover for it it helps save.
chemicals can run about 5-15.00 a month but can be less if care is used and depends on what other sanitizers you have installed that do not use chemicals ( like ozone, ext...)
A good hot tub should last several years! the only thing that will have trouble would be the pump and heating system if one is installed.
It can last for even longer if the motor goes out just replace it.
so about 300.00 a year minimum.
An electrician will cost you to run wire to it if you get a 220 type ( i recommend a 220) they vary in cost to install a 220 line.
Yes it will add to the resale value of a home, and make it more easy to sell also people love them.
does anybody own a hot tub?
im seriously thinking on buying a hot tub.but thought id get some views of them first.every show room we have been to the sales people just praise them highly and seem to give us answers we want to hear.we know their trying to make a quick buck so your true views would be very helpful.how much electric do they use ? are they realy as tough and durable as they make out,are those spa in a box any good?are they very powerful?your views are much appreciated.cheers
yes djpaul we all have baths lol a hot tub is quite different no soap required.serious answers please guys.
Hi
We have had a hot tub for 7 years now in our garden and we use every single day. We bought a Catalina which is an American make and I can confirm that the mechanics are very robust we have never had anything go wrong the outer shell is of very hard wearing wood for all weathers - all we have had to do is enjoy and check chemicals and buy a new filter every year.
We always empty every 3 months to keep clean and fresh.
This has been the best purchase we have made.
Oh Catalina might be slightly more expensive but well worth it - should be able to pick up a four seater for around ВЈ5k - remember to think about where you will have it as the electrics will have to come from the fuse box.
Enjoy

Will it pay me to remodel the kitchen of my mfg home before I sell?
The rest of the place is nice, and has knotty pine wainscoating, exceptionally nice hot tub room added on, beautiful yard, nice lot. If I spend 5-10 thousand dollars remodeling the cabinets, appliances and floors, what percentage of this investment could I expect ot get back on the sale of the place?
The answer to your question is: Bathrooms and kitchens sell homes! This is always the case. So....if your mobil home is on a permanent foundation you will get 100% - 300% of the amount you spent. Please note that the area of the US you are living in will have a bearing on this. If your house is not on a permanent foundation you will get return on what you spend, however it is not going to be but about 1/2 of what you could have gotten had it been on a perm. foundation. A mobil home, even a double wide, especially in a home park, depreciates just about like a car does. There are a lot of variables such as location, location and apparance. When you take the same mobile home and put it on real property, (land) and a perm. foundation with curb appeal and beautiful appearance you can realize good money from the sale of this property and house. Always remember....property (land) is always there and has value. Houses, mobile homes, double wides etc. are not always and forever but land is. You will need to evaluate your perticular situation and then make your decision as to what you need to spend in order to get it back and just break even. You never want to go in the hole to do anything to your house. Always want to come out even or ahead on the money part of the deal. Good Luck
