Fabric is his canvas The Hindu
India’s hand block printing tradition offers a cornucopia of visual delights. The vast spectrum encompasses a profusion of styles each carrying the distinctive stamp of regional expression.
K. Dakshinamurthi, winner of the 2010 National award for Master Craftsperson (Handlooms), practices an art that is as ubiquitous as it is unsung.
“To my knowledge, this is the first time that two entries submitted by the same craftsperson have both been selected for the National award. The entries were two Kodali Karuppur saris dyed and hand block printed with natural vegetable colours by Dakshinamurthi of the Weavers’ Service Centre (WCS) Chennai, setting the highest standard of excellence. His contribution to natural dye printing is enormous,” says B.B. Paul, Director, WSC.
When you view the samples, the exquisite artistry and vibrant hues speak a language that transcends words. The delicate sprays of red and maroon flowers against a crimson background, embellishing the first sample and the stunning clarity of mustard and brown motifs in the second, constitute sheer visual poetry.

does anyone know aything about that infusion weave, and where in philly can i get it done at?
Infusion weaving usually last about 3-5 months depending on the hair. ur hair has to be like 5-6" in length. it cost anywhere from 800-1200 dollars depending on ur head size. oh and it takes about 6 hours! if you want to spend less and get something faster and more convenient...the invisible hairline lacefront wig is a great alternative!!!
good luck!!

Where do I go to get "Human Hair" infusion done?
I am considering having hair extensions (human hair infusion). Will all salons that do extensions do this? Generally, I see African Americans with extensions-- rarely, do I see caucasions with extensions, unless they are celebrities anyhow. I guess what I am asking is-- do I call any salon that does weaving, extensions, etc... to have the infusion system?
Also, I live in Greenville, South Carolina--- what is the "average" cost of extensions?
You don't see many people doing it, because it's SO expensive....however, I'm sure you can find a salon that does it, all you have to do is all around. I live in boston, and the AVERAGE cost for this procedure is around $1000 and lasts 2-4 months. I thought about getting it done til I saw the price and realized my money would be best spent elsewhere....
What's best type of hair weave to get?
I'm getting my first hair weave, i don't want it super long more than likely shoulder length but i don't know whether to get infusions or a sew-in weave. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Sew-in weaves are great because they are usually less expensive than fusion extensions and don't require heat. A sew-in can last for 3 months. Also, make sure to use good quality hair. Indian hair is the best and it should be virgin (unprocessed hair). I buy my hair from Indian Hair Company and I think they have the best hair you can buy. Their website is http://www.indianhaircompany.com.
I hope this helps!
hair infusion?
is it better for black women to get hair infusion or a weave? I've had hair weave sewn in my hair for over 7 years and I want something different which I can wear a ponytail or a different look. Any suggestions out there?
of course hair infusion is the best and only safest hair extensions technique.
