Im so sick of having to straighten my hair every day. Ive heard of the japanese thermal straightening but i dont know where to get it done. every place ive tried that does do some sort of straightening has relaxers only. Are they the same thing?
I live in SoCal so if anyone down here has had it done i would love to know where you did it and how well it works. I need all the help i can get. :P
thanks in advance! <3
if you are going to do japanese thermal straighthening you need this so you dont have breakage. do it before and after, you wont have damage/breakage. I think you should check out www.biolustreflorida.com
I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have no damage anymore, its unbelievable! No more split-ends, its like my hair is NEW! I love it!

Japanese thermal straightening next week, should I dye my hair before or after?
Japanese thermal straightening next week, should I dye my hair before or after the straightening perm?
Definitely after. I had that done and one of the first questions they ask is how recent have you had your hair dyed. If it's been too soon they won't do the procedure (at least if they are a legit stylist!)
Hope it helped x
Chemical Straightening does SO much damage to your hair, so by Dying your hair just before or after is going to add to the damage.
Personally, i would Dye my hair then get it straightened. However, i don't think its a good idea getting both of them done. Your hair will be so damaged it's gonna need allot of deep conditioning!
First time getting Japanese thermal straightening?
Well I heard if its your first time getting your hair Japanese thermal straightened then you have to go twice for it to work, is that true?
No, I had it done once, it was over a year ago and it worked really well. My hair was pretty curly. They apply it 1 inch from the roots so it doesn't hurt your scalp. Once you have it done you are supposed to blow dry it, it is usually straight after that but sometimes you need to straighten it to make it smoother. Even if I don't blow dry my hair, it is way less frizzy than it was before I got it done. I'm gonna get mine redone soon as the roots are pretty bad now. I'd definately recommend it.
When she had it done, she looked great, and the hair was really straight and it stayed put too. She didn't have to go twice either.

Does Japanese Thermal Straightening works on African American hair?
I am half arab and half black. My mom has alot of volume to her hair and my dad hairs is in other words the meaning of a perfect afro. So i have the blessing to have both combination.
No. Your dads hair will prevail if you use that. There's a blowdryer brush that works really well for mixed hair. Not too hot but hot enough to pull the kinks or curls out.
Japanese (thermal) straightening at home (what iron to use)?
Hi.
I ordered a thermal straightening kit from the internet and its being shipped right now, so I cant read the instructions from it just yet. I plan to do it myself and have questions regarding the type of flat iron to use. I have this flat iron and was wonder if it is enough (or should I go buy a different one):
http://www.amazon.com/Conair-CS4JCS-Ceramic-Finish-Straightener/dp/B0000AHS9X
Its rated at 85 watts, but the specs do not say how hot it gets. I put some lead solder on the plates, and it did not melt, so I'm guessing the iron is less than 180 degrees C at max setting. If I need a new flat iron for this, what amount of wattage (and temperature?) do I need to look for.

what is japanese thermal straightening and is it bad for your hair?
I would like to get the Japanese hair straightening aka thermal reconditioning done on my hair in NJ, suggest?
I desperately want to get the Japanese hair straightening aka thermal reconditioning done, but I am so confused on where to go in NJ. I have heard of this place called hudson hair in secaucuse and someone told me to go to HTG in edison. Does anybody suggest any other salons or please tell me if the ones above if anybody has gone?
go to a salon and ask about japanese straightening. all if not most salon should provide it
Can anyone recommend a hair salon in Toronto area that does Thermal Reconditioning/Japanese Straightening?
I am really interested in this but just don't want to go anywhere, so if anyone has had a great experience I would love to know where. Also, my hair is really frizzy and curly but also fine, is this something that would be ok for me? I hate spending hours straightening my hair and I am getting sick of pulling it up all the time because I just don't have the time to try to straighten it.
