What exactly would be some of the routine daily tasks of an "entry level engineer" at a luxury resort hotel ?

I am getting ready to start a job as an "Entry Level Engineer" for one of the major U.S. hotel chains, this is at one of their luxury waterfront resort hotels. Can someone who has worked in this capacity please tell me what I can expect as a daily part of my job? What are the most common tasks, what do you do on an average day, and are there any things I can do to prepare myself for starting this new job? Thank you for your help & advice.

Any suggestions for a luxury resort in Fiji?

I'm looking for a luxury resort in Fiji that has all the bells and whistles. If you have any suggestions of places you have stayed, or know people who have stayed somewhere could you give me some names? Or links to websites, even better :)Thanks

I've been to Fiji a few times with my husband. We absolutely love it. Our favorite resorts are (and the MOST high end):

The Wakaya Club
Vatulele Island Resort
Namale Resort
Likuliku Lagoon
Taveuni Island

The travel agent we use is VERY knowledgeable and can help put together an amazing itinerary for you in Fiji. His name is Jason, from The Accomplished Traveler. Even if you're not in the US, I know he'll work with you.

Have fun!

A beach, with white sand and completely private.
A magnificent tropical garden.
Staff that says, 'yes I'll get it' then does no matter what without whining.
Fresh flowers in the room.
full wet bar and microwave in the room.
Computer terminal in the room.
Dvd player
BIG BIG FLUFFY Towels
Extra big down pillows
Down feather mattress cover

What is the best luxury hotel/resort you have stayed at and why?

Some hotels/resorts provide such amazing over-the-to experiences for their guests, while others merely provide a "usual" service.

I'm curious which are your favourite luxury hotels/resorts that you have actually stayed at, and what made it such a memorable stay? Please give me some specifics that really made a difference in your overall experience.
"over-the-to" should be "over-the-top"

Sofitel wanda in china since it was of course five star hotel and their beds are so soft and everyone is nice and can explain stuff.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's hard to beat going out on the observation deck and seeing giraffes and zebras.

are you like trying to stay at the one im going to say?
anyways, in galveston i went to a hotel that had excellent service, the entrance they would do valet parking open your car and get the bags, checkin/out for you, get whatever you needed whenever you need it. the pool had 1 hot tub with a very fancy waterslide into the hot tub, and they had 2 other hot tubs one with a waterfall and one with soapy bubbles, and the pool was very cool, they separated the 'non' splash zone from the splash 'zone' and the non spalsh zone was with a bar and the splash zone had a voleyball net and right before you enter the pool there was a resturant just like hooters with bars everywhere you looked, and there was a huge bird cage with a parrot. and across from that their was a gym that you had to go down the stairs, and the stairs were 'gold' granite. right before you entered that the gift shop was right their it had soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... many things in their. and the lobby had 5 dolphin statues and they squirted water out from their mouths. the piano was right before you entered the lobby. their was a fake man and they had the keboard set for you. and when you entered their was the entrance. duh. the entrance was split in half with a two sidded 'staired' water fountain with crystal clear water and the dolphins where their and they squirted water to each other! and the rooms where set with a two sinked bathroom and the walls where gorgeous. the floors where paved beautifuly. they had 1 flat tv screen in the room and a mini one near your shower and they had snacks laying on your bed. and every room was an ocean view. they had no room with a 'non' ocean view! and the hotel was huge. (ps.) they had a spa. any ways thats what made it so memorable.

what is the best luxury resort to get married in? (mayan Riviera)?

Hello

My fiancee and I are planning a wedding in the Mayan riviera. We are both young professionals looking for an upscale resort in the Mayan riviera. Neither of us had been before and we are having a hard time choosing. So, we're wondering, what is the best resort to get married in ?

Congratulations! You have a few options you can choose from. One place that is nice is The Tides. I'll give you a link for you to check out. It's very romantic, upscale, classy, sophisticated, and perfect in every way. It's a quaint little hidden jewel that not many people know about so it will provide you with piece of mind and relaxation. Another option is to have you wedding ceremony on the beach. I also give you a link to check out about that. There are different locations throughout the Riviera Maya that you can choose and they set up everything for you. I'll also provide a link that gives you a few choices of different resorts and you can see if anything catches your eye, but I think you'll find The Tides to be very nice.
Congrats again and good luck in whatever you choose!!!

Congratulations on your wedding.

Try the Barcelo Maya Palace. We stayed there last year, and there were six gorgeous weddings during our week stay. It is a gorgeous resort, and is one of the highest rated in the area. The hotel grounds themselves have a gorgeous gazebo that you can be married under. They decorate it for your wedding, and the environment is wonderful. The barcelo Maya palace is romantic, classy, wonderful, and perfect in every way. The only word that I can think of to describe it best is impecable, especially for an all inclusive resort. it is a gorgeous hotel, and is truly high class!

Here is a link the the Barcelo Maya Palace site:

http://www.barcelo.com/BarceloHotels/en-GB/Hotels/Mexico/MayanRiviera/MayaPalace/Home.htm

When on this website, there will be a slideshow for you to watch of all of the hotel's best qualities, including the amazing wedding gazebo.

The barcelo hotel line has been the highest rated in luxury for years, and the maya palace is truly their most luxurious yet. It is the perfect way to feel like a princess on your big day.

I know that if you choose this resort, you will have a gorgeous wedding, and will definitely not be dissappointed.

I would reccomend this hotel to anyone and everyone, especially for their big day!

Hope this helps and best of luck <3

Where can I find luxury home rentals that could accommodate a family reunion of 11 at Walt Disney World Resort?

My family is planning a family vacation (parents, sister and her kids, my family) at WDW over Christmas. We would like a nice (luxury) house or resort that would accomodate all of us without being too outrageously expensive. Does anyone know of a place or website that would help?

Grand Deluxe Villa at Old Key West or the Tree top villas at Saratoga Springs both located and owned by Disney will accommodate your family. Call 407-W-Disney to see if they are available. Another option may be to get a couple connecting rooms or maybe two cabins at Fort Wilderness.

you can try
http://www.disneyneighbor.com

I really hope its not for this Christmas because it might be a little late. Christmas is extremely busy for Disney. I would suggest checking out www.vacationrentals 411.com they have houses with 7+ bedrooms

We have stayed in the Windsor Hills subdivision many times. It is very nice and there are many homes for rent. It may be difficult to find anything for this holiday season at this late date.

www.waltdisneyworld.com has accommodations for grand gatherings for parties over 5 people for all budgets.hurry because they might run out of room very soon!!!

I have stayed with a few different companies, but my favorite is http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com

I have had an absolutely wonderful experience every time I have stayed with them. You might like to browse through all their options, and if you have any questions, call them. They are super nice. If you are wanting it for this Christmas, you better call soon!

You might check the Disney Vacation Club Villas. That way you can accommodate your group and enjoy all of the benefits and conveniences of being on property.

What is the best luxury resort in the maldives for a honeymoon?

This is a very difficult question to answer, because there are lots of choices. Your decisions may be based on the choice you make and on which you may have factors that you have to consider such as the price, distance from Airport etc... Generally, below are the most popular luxury resorts for honeymoon:

Rania Experience: http://www.summer-holidays.net/rania.html

One & Only Resorts:
http://www.summer-holidays.net/one&onlyReethiRah.html
http://www.summer-holidays.net/4seasonsKudahuraa.html

W Retreat: http://www.summer-holidays.net/W.html

Dhoni Migili: http://www.summer-holidays.net/dhoniMighili.html

Soneva Resorts:

Four Seasons Rsorts:

Conrad Maldives at Rangali:
http://www.summer-holidays.net/hilton.html

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa:
http://www.summer-holidays.net/tajExotica.html

Well, if you would want to know the best of the best, it is no doubt that Rania Experience: http://www.summer-holidays.net/rania.html tops the list. Beacuse its a piece of heaven resevrved exclusively for a couple or group who books it and it becomes a total hideaway in style.

Cheers

Refundable deposit to stay at luxury resort in orlando?

Me and my boyfriend are staying at a rather luxurious resort in Orlando for spring break.. I am wanting to know why they have a $300 refundable deposit due at check in?

Most luxurious resorts do this in case of there is any damage done to the room. As well as any charges that acquire during the room. These hotels provide room service which is added to your bill, you do not pay at the time of delivery. Also check and see if they have a resort fee which will also be taken out of this money as well. If you do get room service I would keep all receipts and take pictures of the room when you arrive as well as what the room looks like when you check out if you want to see any of that refund back.

Would you stay at a luxury resort or hotel if a murder had broken out there just several months before?

for me, i could never go there.

Yep.

How can I get a good deal at a luxury resort?

maybe the MANDARIN ORIENTAL or FOUR SEASONS or RITZ CARLTON or ST. REGIS, etc.
