RAW, a New Men's Skin Care Line, Specifically Addresses the Needs of Men's Skin MarketWatch (press release)

DALLAS, TX, Oct 17, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Recognizing the critical market need for quality skin care products that specifically address a man's skin physiology, Rhonda Allison, entrepreneur and foremost skin care expert, has introduced RAW, a complete line of integrated skin care products for men that are both effective and easy to integrate into any man's daily grooming routine.

RAW uses a combination of organic minerals and plants, as well as cutting-edge biotech ingredients that work to rejuvenate the skin's texture and tone to help eliminate signs of aging and improve overall skin health. The results are cleaner, healthier, younger-looking, and more attractive skin.

According to Rhonda Allison, founder & CEO of Rhonda Allison Clinical Enterprises and RAW Skin Care for Men, "A man's skin is generally thicker, more sensitive and produces more sebum than a woman's skin. His pH is also more acidic. This presents not only cosmetic issues but health issues as well. Studies have also shown that male skin cells carry fewer antioxidants, and as a result, will form more and deeper facial lines and hyper pigmentation (age spots). Therefore, men require a completely different approach to skin care than women in order to improve their overall skin health and appearance."

What Are Daily Basic Skin Care Tips For Men ?

What basic things should I follow in my daily routine, so I can keep my face clean, clear and always refreshing ? I am serious about my diet, I am not much into junk food and workout regularly 6 times a week. But I was never into taking extra care for my skin, so just curious and want to try things at home itself which will help me have great skin. so any natural ways or any men skin care products ? please post your views.

I usually use Neutrogena Oil Free it prevents and treats any acne without drying out your skin. Then an SPF 15 moisturizer such as Neutrogena Combination skin or OIL of OLAY ( I know) with SPF15. I would also put on a mask such as MINT or CLAY to tighten your skin and close any big pores you might have. Sensitive skin cream for shaving and you're set.

Get a shower mirror and shave in the shower after your face and facial hair is thoroughly hydrated.

What ever lotion you put on your face to protect it, make sure it has UV protection. Use facial cleanser on your face, not soap.

Additionally, the same skin care products that work for women in theory should work for men.

PS. Aramis probably has some of the best men's skin care products. I found much of them here:

http://www.makemeheal.com/mmh/product/beauty/aramis/index.vm?procid=13&catid=641

Go to the drugstore or Walmart or K-Mart & check out all the skin care products for men from Neutrogena & also Aveeno for Men. Browse thru them & pick & choose what you feel you will need. Read all instructions carefully & their claims of what each product will do for you. You must be the judge of what you need for your face - nobody else knows your skin type or what feels good to you - but you. Good Luck.

1. use only facial scrub or cleaner in the shower. Body soap is not for the face, facial skin is more sensitive.
2. moisturize.
3. use astringent or facial cleaner before bed.

I like the nivea for men line of products. They smell great and are formulated for a man's facial needs. They have scrub, lotion, shaving products and a great "anti aging" line that works great to reguvinate how the skin on your face looks and feels.

every month or so it's good to use a deep down mask or pore cleaner to strip down and pull out dead skin and clogged pores.

I found the answers to a lot of my skin care questions at this blog: http://www.pureskincareline.com. You can also check out some really healthy skin care products at http://www.nurturemybody.com. I use the cleansers, moisturizers and shave cream, and my wife has definitely noticed the difference.

What are the best tips for Skin care (for a man)?

I'm 30, and didn't really take care of my skin the best over the years, but now, I'm concentrating on being as healthy as possible, and want to really make my skin look the best that it can. It's not acne or super rough or anything, I just know that I can really make it better. Any tips? Foods, products, things like that, thanks!

May I suggest drinking lots of water and taking vitimans along with using a good skincare products that won't dry out your skin. Arbonne carry's a great line of men's products.
Here is a site to check out if you would like further info.

sunscreen and Arbonne mens line is great!! My husband loves his! At first he did not want to even try it! but I bought and so he tried it and will never go a day with out it now!! His fav is the shaving cream! Any questions please ask!!

Thanks and good luck!!

A clay mask works wonders. It's like a spa facial without the cost! www.MyHomeFacial.com
Also, avoid chemicals on your skin. And avoid greasy foods and lots of junk foods.

Drink lots of water! It will help keep your skin naturally hydrated & helps prevent wrinkles.

Most men don't realize it, but Avon actually has a lot of things for men. I have sold several things to guys in the past few weeks. They have a skin care line called Derek Jeter Driven. You can get 2 different cleansers (one is for oily skin), shave gel, & moisturizer with sunscreen.

These products are getting 5 stars in customer reviews!!! I suggest trying this. If you don't get this line, make sure you use something with sunscreen in it. It will help prevent sun damage, wrinkles, skin cancer, dark spots, etc.

I have also been selling lots of the NBL, NFL, Nascar, & Harley-Davidson items to guys lately.

Go to www.youravon.com/kwade3641. You can shop, read reviews, & ask me questions about products. I am an Independent Avon Sales Rep. If you go to this website & enter code REP20 at checkout you will get FREE shipping on orders over $20 that are shipped in the US.

I vote for Arbonne too. If you want your skin to look it's best...the Nutrimin C RE9 line is incredible.

Also, try the Nutrimin C RE9 eye cream..

Men age too =).

What kind of Men skin care products are best for covering up freckles and fixing dark circles under eyes?

Being the kind of guy to care about his appearance (metro-) Im looking for something to help my facial appearance. Though its not really visible in normal lighting, when a picture is taken especially with the camera flash, my freckles, nearly 20 years of sun burns and sun exposure, and my dark circles show up really well on camera..and its quite frankly embarrassing. I'm utterly hate cameras now. So what is the best kind of cosmetic to take care of these 2 problems without emptying my wallet?

For the under-eye circles -- don't rub your eyes. This will dilate the blood vessels and make the eye circles worse. If the circles are from allergies, take allergy medicine and they will go away. Finally, get an under-eye cream with retinol.

For the freckles, you can use a product with hydroquinone (alpha hydrox makes one), and then make sure you wear sunscreen every day, too. It will take two weeks to six months for the spots to fade, but fade they will.

If you want some product examples, look at this article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/925349/how_to_buy_beauty_products_from_the.html?cat=69

Whats the best product for men skin care specially for the face?

Please help me to look younger and good. Please list the products that are good and what are they for. Is it ok for us men to go to derma clinics?

I have my father using the Arbonne NutrimenC RE9 Anti Aging line. This line, which includes a facial wash, shave gel, toner and moisturizing sun screen, is specially formulated for aging skin.

If you'd like to try a sample of the products, you can go to my web site, sign my guestbook, and just let me know where to send them. I'd be glad to!

Thanks! www.snthayer.myarbonne.com

of course it is OK for men to go to dermatologists if they need an expert opinion on their skin...I know many that have. try: Nivea for Men its Niveas line designed especially for men and what there skin is most prone to... asking a dermatologist won't hurt!

Both my dad and husband suffer from dry skin and discoloration in the face. I got them both putting Palmer's coco butter on there faces at night. There skin looks amazing and smooth and the discoloration is fading. I would also suggest a sun screen during the day. It will help ward off any further damage. I use one by oil of olay called complete all day moisture lotion SPF 15. I have been using this product for over 10 years. People guess I'm 19, I am actually 25. So I think it works. You may also want to get a clay mask to use weekly(like Freeman avocado and oatmeal) It will help purge your pores which makes your skin smoother and firmer. All of the products I've mentioned are available at Wal Mart or Target.

My husband uses my artistry products. It really has been working for him. A women asked him the other day what he had done different because she had noticed the difference. I use Artistry Time Defiance, and we love it.

Can I use skin care products made for men on my face?

I am asking because at a recent trip to the drugstore, I noticed that the men's skin care lines are cheaper than the women's, and yet the ingredient lists read about the same. Can you recommend any products?

Mary Kay cosmetics have products for men. Velocity would be a good start. Most of the products that are listed, men can use. Even the shave gels that we have, men can use.

Skin is skin and just because it looks like a woman magazine doesn't mean it's all for women. :)

Browse around on my website.

What specific skin care are you referring to?

SHAVING - skintimate

FACIAL - Neutrogena

Probably. I think they do that because maybe the smell is more masculine or feminine? i don't think it would do any harm to try, anyway.

skin is skin - it doesn't matter.

many times you are right-men's products are about the same...you just want to be careful with things like scrubs or acne treatments that contain salicylic acid or benzol peroxide...these products in the mens line tend to have the highest over the counter percentages of these products because men have tougher skin...if you have oily skin than chances are you can handle it, but proceed with caution...but many products like normal skin cleanser and stuff often times are pretty similar

it doesnt matter skin is skin unless you have sensitive skin like i do then certain things will make you break out.

how can a man take care of his skin?

as a man how can I take care my skin ?
I want to care my skin, yet I do not know what exaclly should I do !I really afraid of aging and I prefer to prevent it as soon as possible.
I have an oily skin with very poor spots .

Nivea has really good stuff for men over the counter and very affordable but if you are looking for something for a specific problem i suggest you go to a clinic counter usually at macys, dillards and such

A good way to cleanse and seal pores (which will lead to a lot less spots, and keeps skin young and healthy) is to dunk your face in a sink full of hot water, scrub your face with a good exfoliating soap, wash it off with hot water. Then immediately dunk your face in a sink full of freezing cold water. This should push out all of the gunk from your pores. All you need to do after the cold water is gently scrub your face with a damp flannel.

you could try patricia wexler stuff. i beleive its sold through bath abd body works or Murad, murad is a really good skin care regimen and so is patricia wexler, buy a starter kit and just keep up with it, it takes 4 weeks for your skin to really show results of a different skin care regimen. :)The best thing though is to keep up with your routine for the best skin and eat lots of healthy foods and vitamins.

Quite simply you take care of it just like women do. There is nothing wrong with taking care of your skin. It doesn't make you any less manly. In fact it probably just makes you better looking. You should be washing your face and then toning followed by a good moisturizer with sun screen. I have had many men come in for facials. Some would even have microdermabrasion or peels to help with their problem areas. You need to find a cleanser that is made for oily skin. If you start to peel or your skin dries out use it less frequently. Nutregena makes great products for your skin and they aren't pricey.

Same problem here.

What I use is this Nuetragena Face Wash/Mask. Its like $7 at CVS, works great.

And you will over time, not by this product, but in general, look older. Just dont make in ass out yourself and try to look younger, Age gracefully. Its like when I see older women coming into my store dressing like they are 18 and tan way too much and horrible fake blond hair when they would look so so much better by just aging gracefully which makes you look 10x better!

its hard to tell what would help you because most guys have rougher skin than girls. However, there are exceptions. in order to get rid of the oily skin (or at least the appearance) you should use a toner or an atringent. for the spots, good luck. listen to this radio program, might have some answers since i don't. http://skinhealthtoday.com/?utm_source=blog

men also need regular facing clean, apply moisture and do facial in order to keep skin look good.
I have a few homemade facial in my blog that you can take a look, it is very easy and your skin will look great after using again. My blog is http://antiaging-skin-care-tips.blogspot.com

Can i get a recommendation on men's skin care?

Im interested in beginning a facial skin routine to take better care of myself. What products are out there for men? Are they better than the ones for women? Any brands i should try or stay away from? What should I apply and how often? Thanks!

Clinique makes a mens line and so does neutrogena. Really you should try to figure out what type of skin you have. You will want to look for unscented products so you do not get girly fragrences. Sometimes like mens products are the same as womens just put in another bottle. Clinique uses the same moisturizer for men and it has for women.
Put your skin type on here and people can help you. You need to figure out if you have oily, acne prone, dry or sensitive skin. You could also have normal skin which is neither dry or oily.
Neutrogena has a great deal of products that have a clean scent and not a femine scent so that is a good place to start.
If you use things that have a mint scent they are more masculine.
Basically mens skin is the same as women's we have the same issues.
Make sure to use sunscreen and it will keep you looking younger and your skin nicer.

I think every guy should take care of himself...Not 2 go to the plastic surgeon, like George Clooney ;-))!!! Anyway, nowadays EVERY cosmetics brand has its own men-line...From L'Oréal to Biotherm; Lush and so on. I would advice you 2 use products with natural ingredients; they work the same and aren't too aggressive with skin. Some brands... Lush,Clarins,Yves Rocher, Aveda and The Body Shop. (at least, that's what I've got in mind rite now!). If you'd like something glam, some fashion designers like Jean Paul Gaultiers also produce cosmetics for men!
Must have: Face cream; Eye cream; Face cleanser -the rest is up 2 u! Apply every morning and every nite, before u go 2 bed

My husband likes Clinique's and Neutrogena's skin care products for men. (www.clinique.com & www.neutrogena.com)

Nivea and The Body Shop products for men are pretty good too.

L'Oreal has a line out for men also but he hasn't tried it.

King of Shaves makes great shaving gels and Schick Quattro & Gillette Excel are his preferred razors.

Any witch hazel is a good toner or after shave balm.

Sunscreen is the main thing to apply everyday to avoid photo-aging. (any brand, whatever you like)

Do you think its normal for a man to use many skin care products. What do you guys use?

Yes, it is normal.

Skin care is skin care.

You must have a good regiment to have fabulous looking skin!!
LOL.

What I would like my boyfriend to use:
Cleanser.
Moisturizer.
Sunblock.

And sometimes, I make him do masks with me.
But that's completely up to you.

Don't use bar soap. Make the effort to buy an actual facial cleanser.
Don't use hand lotion. Also make the effort to buy a facial moisturizer.

Good luck. :)

What's a good routine for skin care management for men?

Right now all I'm doing is: first, wash with lukewarm water, then hot water, then cleanse with a moisterising facial cleanser, wash again and finally wash with cold water and pat dry with a clean towel. Oh and moisterise with a non-greasy moisteriser.

This is working for me but I'm wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong or not doing right. So my question is, what is the best routine for taking care of the skin for a man?

Thank-you!

1. wash your hands
2. wash your face with just lukewarm water! Hot and cold water can damaged/harsh the skin.
3. Cleanse with whatever cleanser you have. Wash it off
4. Shave if you have too (exfoliating)
5. apply moisterizer.
6. apply facial sunscreen, this protects you from UV rays which you will be thankful when your older.

With these 5/6 steps your skin should be good :)

How can I locate a partner for a new men's skin care product I have thought of?

I am not in the retail business, but have come up with a better product for an age old problem. I am interested in teaming up with someone who already has a foot into the skin care industry that I can trust.
