I was just wondering how much a manicure and peedicure cost on average. If more precise, how much is it at Kim's Nails in Newton Highlands? Well, they have these massage chairs for a pedicure. Does that cost more? Thank you so much for answering this question.

I charge $25 for mani and $35 for pedi. I live in kerrville Texas. I am sure prices are higher elsewhere. I spend an our on my pedicure clients and abut 45 min on manis.

If it is a vietnamese place (not a spa), a pedicure costs about $30, and a manicure costs about $15. If it's a spa, about $60 for a pedicure, and $45 for a manicure.

i have never gotten a manicure, but here in japan, pedicures are normally about 40 dollars, and yes massage chairs are a part of the pedicure. :)

She's more of a "tomboy" and doesn't wear make-up often. Since our son was born, she's always complaining that she's breaking/cracking her nails. Although I find a nice manicure/pedicure attractive on a woman, I don't consider myself some sort of fetishist. I'm afraid if I bring it up (or buy her a gift certificate for a nail salon), she'll think I am one. Any suggestions on how to bring up the subject?

Personally I give 5 or 10 dollars, but its up to an indevidual on how much they can spare. My daughter does hair and nails and says no matter how much you can afford its always nice to tip the person who does your hair or nails. It works the same way as waitress's tips basically. Thats how they make there money. Hope that helped.

Anybody providing a service for you should be tipped. As in a restaurant, the average tip is 15% for so-so service to 20+% for good service.

Yes, a tip is expected....because they are offering up their services to you! For the massage therapist, it depends upon how long & how much she does....usually it's 10% - 15%...

There is no need to tip them, now if it was a restaurant then there in no problem in giving the person who is attending to your table a tip. There salary may be much less and there is more work entailed.

If the same person is doing all 3, give them ten. Otherwise I would give 5 for the massage and 5 for the mani and pedi. It's not expected but those people do have to rent their space in the spa (usually).

Do a french which matches your skin tone, have a small tropical colored flower painted on towards the outside of your nails, just off center and touching both the white and pink. Then paint your toenails the same color as the flower.

As a crossdresser, I maybe getting a manicure/pedicure done for the first time,going with friend of mine. What can I wear that is a girly, yet I can also get the mani/pedi

i would wear some sandals and some short shorts but depending on wear you live then it may be cold and if that's the case then i would wear sandals and sweat pants i see girls getting pedicures and wearing sweat pants all the time its just something to wear its cold outside just because you are a crossdresser doesn't mean you have to be stupid and wear something that will end up getting you sick from the cold. flip flops would be good to show off your toes when your done but if you want to be girly then wear a dress and sandals but wear a dress that at least goes to your knees. please don't get sick from wearing a mini skirt

When you get a manicure or pedicure, do you chat with the esthetician (person who does the procedure)? Or do you stay quiet?

Lots of times these days they are asian and you don't understand them anyway!
Relax you don't need to chat you should be relaxing, sometimes they aren't allowed to talk because it interrups the relaxing. Every salon is different, follow their lead, and you won't appear rude

we are just starting in the manufacturing of manicure, pedicure instruments and beauty care scissors and items used in saloons. Our customers are asking us about the difference in special screws and standard screws that we are to use in our manufacturing and their costs. since we are just starting this business, we are not even aware of what they mean by different types of screws. Can some one guide us about this issue?

Wouldn't the best thing to do be to buy some of these tools and examine them yourself? Obviously you don't want to make exact copies (patents) but at least you'd know where to start. Alternately, contact a company who distributes those type of things and talk to them.

-I gotta hand it to you, of the all the questions I 've seen on here, yours is definitely the oddest! Andf what an odd place to ask such a specific question
