Does anyone know a great place to get good quality massage products?

I am a massage therapist and looking for a hot stone heater and other products for my practice.
Thanks!!

Try massagewarehouse.com, or for top of the line try arcancient.com (I know these people well, one was my massage instructor in school). As far as a hot stone heater, many people just use an electric roaster that can be found in any department store. Pick up any massage magazine and you will find ads from many suppliers.

I am always happy with Granny's rubdown parlour.

Nature's Mist/Sprite Shower Massage > Anyone have reviews about product?

This is the handheld filter kind. The filter gets changed every 3 months. This is good to lessen the chlorine in the water. Has anybody here purchased this kind before? If so, what is your opinion of this kind of massager?

Chlorine in shower water has no ill effects...so why bother removing it!

Help please...I'm looking for the name of a massage product similar to the backnobber.?

The backnobber is basically an "S" shaped bar with hard knobs at the ends to apply pressure on hard-to-reach tense spots like in between the shoulder blades. The product that I'm looking for is the same "S" shape but the tips are made of rubber instead of wood or plastic. But the thing is, I don't know this product's name, so all my internet searches have been futile. I need the community's help to find this product so I can relieve my back pain. Thank you in advance!

I've used theracane for many years and it's entirely plastic and is more usefully elaborate than back nobber. However, it's not rubber but comes in blue or green plastic. With some creativity you'll lay on your carpet and use leverage and the curved portion to release your spinalis group of muscles that run the entire length of your spine, do your traps and all the layers of your neck muscles. I use it, again lying down with a movie on, to work my calves, back of my thighs, or sitting you can transverse friction the quads or gluteals. Use the straight protruding knobs, or again hook in with the curved portion to stretch and energize the glutes, sides of the belly, around which are the QL and Psoas groups. It's kind of fun, if you're into it, to hang up on your wall a good anatomy chart, sit on a chair and teach yourself something of the "lay of the land" of your body while using a Theracane. Don't just prod away at your neck, work your entire physical entity so to speak and become more aware of how and when and what works as a release for you. I've been a professional manual therapist for 30 years, used 100's of modalities but still appreciate a Theracane more than 99% of therapists that have worked on me. Most haven't much of a clue, whatever their designation and no one knows you and exactly what you need in the moment as you do, so invest the 50 bucks and you'll have a tool that will see you into hopefully a long and healthy life. Most massage therapy supply outlets should sell this. By the way, don't forget to use glorious tennis balls any where, any time whilst lying on a firm surface. I've been hanging out on them for decades, long before people actually started making money off the concept, like lying on Zuma balls or whatever they're called and other such nonsense. Have fun.

Internatural used to carry the Theracane, but I don't know if they still have it in stock - it's online.

what product best massage your scalp and make hair grow?

There is no known, proven product (in my experience) that will decrease the time in which your hair grows.

However, check out these tips on how to make your hair grow stronger and longer - faster:

(Step 1) Cut your hair. The secret to long hair? Strong hair. And that means getting rid of all damaged ends. So, believe it or not, your first step is to suck it up and head to the salon for a good snip. How much is enough? Unless your hair is very thick or very curly, have the stylist trim until your hair is all one length (as short as the shortest layer in your hair). All-one-length hair stays healthier and that means you can grow it without having as many trims from here on out. Thick- or curly-haired girls will want to keep a few long layers to help weigh hair down. You don't want to look like a mushroom-head as your hair grows out.

(Step 2) Give yourself a head rush. Kick your hair follicles (and hair growth) into high gear by increasing circulation to your head. How? "There are three easy ways," says Riquette Holstein, author of Grow Hair Fast. One, get more exercise so your heart is pumping (yet another reason to get up off the couch). Two, flip your head upside-down once a day, brushing your hair from roots to ends (use a natural boar bristle brush to prevent breakage). Three, massage your scalp daily, using your fingertips. "You can do this while you are shampooing or just sitting around watching TV," says Riquette. "It feels really good!"

(Step 3) Eat right. "You know That expression "You are what you eat"? Well, it happens to be true. Hair can only stay long and healthy if you eat well-balanced meals. Foods rich in vitamin A (dairy products, fish, spinach, apricots), vitamin B (meat, fish, bananas, leafy green veggies), vitamin C (citrus, melon, tomatoes and potatoes) and vitamin E (nuts, broccoli, whole grains) are essential for truly healthy hair. Feel like eating a steak tonight? Perfect. Red meat is rich in iron and zinc, two nutrients proven to help your hair grow its fastest.

(Step 4) Stress less. Studies show that hair actually grows slower when you are stressed to the max. Your hair also needs a good night's sleep. So chill out, and get some shut-eye already.

(Step 5) Keep your hair clean. Oily roots and product build-up can clog follicles and prevent your hair from growing as quickly as possible--the max is about a half-inch per month. So be sure to shampoo daily (or even more often if you work out) and give your hairbrush a weekly cleansing so you don't rebrush in old dirt and oil.

(Step 6) Be kind to your hair. The longer your hair is, the older it is. So treat it with the respect it deserves. When you lather up, use gentle shampoos formulated for your hair type. Treat your locks once a week to a leave-in conditioner or hair mask. And try to lay off your blow-dryer, hot curlers and flat iron as much as possible. Throwing your hair up in a ponytail to disguise growing-out layers? Be careful not to pull too tight--you'll risk breaking your hair. Yikes.

(Step 7) Get regular trims. After eight weeks, your hair could be up to an inch longer. So don't leave all that hard-earned length on the salon floor. Ask your stylist to snip no more than an eighth of an inch, just to get rid of any split ends and end your above-the-shoulders hair rut forever.

Hope that helps! :-)

Rub olive oil into the scalp and massage to promote hair growth or else massage the scalp with egg yolk, leave for 1 hour and wash. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.com/ for more remedies and details.

Also, run-on sentences are not your friend.
If you want help, it helps if people can understand you.

Try going to Microsoft support. That would probably yield the best and fastest results.

What Windows product do you think it is talking about? Did you just get a new computer or install some new Microsoft software?

Some new software comes with a trial period like 30 days or 25 uses. After that it turns itself off. That might be what is happening.

Sorry, my wife won't let me get a massage, or I will get a message from her.
You must be connected to the Internet to activate Windows.
You may be asked for the KEY.
The key is on the Windows sticker on the side of the computer.

How can I give my boyfriend a great massage using home products?

I was wondering if there are any home products that can be used to spice up how I give my boyfriend a massage. Any tips are appreciated. We have some massage oils already but I wanted to try something new.

Give him a nice body scrub using those scrubing soaps then warm the oil and give him a nude body to body oil massage. you can heat the oil by just placing the bottle in hot water. Then wash him off and have a nice happy ending. My wife does this and it's nice.

Any experience with getting reimbursed with FSA funds for massage or bedding products?

I'm looking for answers from those who successfully used their flexible spending account to get reimbursed (with the own tax-free money) for massage therapy or neck pillows. I've been having a stiff neck every morning and want to ask my Dr for a referral. I know that my insurance won't pay for massage, but maybe FSA will? I also need a better pillow, but haven't been able to find one that works well (need to go to a specialized place to get a good one, I guess).

I work for a TPA (Third-Party Administrator) and am well-versed in FSA rules and regulations.

You can use your FSA funds for Massage Therapy under certain conditions: It must be prescribed by a physician for the treatment of a specific illness, injury, trauma, or condition.

It cannot be prescribed "for your well-being," but must be prescribed for treating a specific disease or condition. If it meets that requirement, our company allows it.

You should be aware that the final authority on your reimbursement is your employer's Summary Plan Description document, which can legally be more restrictive than the IRS regulations, but in most cases, they match up perfectly.

Using Biofreeze for Massage

Those who regularly do massage treatments will benefit greatly from learning about the line of products known as Biofreeze. This is because they will enable you to perform treatments on patients that might have otherwise have been too tender or sore to have comfortably accepted traditional massage therapy.

How does Biofreeze work? Actually, the mechanism of Biofreeze products is very simple. It relies on the natural properties of menthol to create the classic “cooling” sensation (which is why so many massage experts say that it is “like ice, but only better”) that is technically interrupting the standard pain delivery system of the body. What happens is that the menthol triggers the nerves in the area of application to stop sending pain signals to the receptors in the brain. This is why a client will quickly sense a measurable reduction in the pain they are experiencing within a few moments of the treatment beginning.

Many wonder if you can partner Biofreeze with the actual massage techniques, and though the product is greaseless, it can be used as a lubricant. This means that you can introduce your treatment with the gel or spray product, reduce any strong level of pain, and then begin the deeper muscle or joint work that is going to make such a big difference in their results.

Because massage is meant to address a range of conditions, many wonder what sorts of pain it can actually handle. For example, arthritis pain is far different from the pain felt after a muscle strain. Fortunately, the ways that menthol draws pain will be the same regardless of how and where it is applied. Thus, the arthritis patient is going to benefit from the use of this sort of treatment in the same way that someone with major neck pain or the client with an ankle sprain will benefit as well.

Another of the major ways of using the product is to apply it in the “post treatment” process via the convenient patches. This would be a wonderful way to treat a patient with arthritis or muscle pain because it would prevent the effects of the massage therapy from being reduced by the quick return of discomfort, soreness or tenderness following the treatment. Instead, the patch would continue to deliver the “message” from the menthol that interrupted the pain processes. The result would be that a client would continue to move and flex a tender joint long after they have received a beneficial massage.
