San Francisco Med Spa Announces Special Discount on Popular Cellulite ... San Francisco Chronicle (press release)

Venus Bodywork is offering a limited-time promotional price for a series of Endermologie treatments. Endermologie is a leading liposuction alternative and a favorite with celebrities.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2011

One of the most popular treatments among regulars at San Francisco med spa Venus Bodywork is Endermologie , a safe, non-surgical, non-invasive technique to reduce cellulite. The technique uses two rollers to stimulate skin, increasing blood flow to problem areas and encouraging release of toxins. Celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Matthew McConaughey, and Jennifer Lopez have experienced the benefits of the relaxing treatment. Right now, Venus Bodywork is offering 10 Endermologie treatments for just $599-a $100 discount off their already low price.

"Endermologie is one of the most effective liposuction alternatives available. It visibly reduces cellulite and improves the overall skin texture," says Venus Bodywork owner Miria Kutcher. "But the best part is that it feels totally relaxing-it's more like a massage than a medical procedure."

What kind of money would I make working at Medspa or Skin Solutions?

I have a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field, but I want to eventually open up my own spa after I learn more about the business.

The money isn't likely to be great, but the knowledge you gain would probably make the experience worthwhile when you open your own shop. It will likely be hourly w some type of commission arrangement.

Has anyone visited Sleek MedSpa in Boston for laser hair removal? If so, would you recommend them?

Any other suggestions or price guides you could offer as I look into this for the first time? Thanks!

You can call 888.517.4187 to get pricing information in the Boston area. You can also go to http://www.HairRemovalForum.com to get more information and additional provider options. I have heard that Sleek is reputable.

I reccomend Andree Robere in Easton Mass, licensed estheticians do the work, and although they are a little expensive, it gets the job done! andreerobere.com

Any RN's working in a MedSpa doing injectables, etc.? Whats it like? I need advice?

I am interested in starting a nursing program at a 2yr program to become an RN. Upon completion, I will have my ADN. What are my chances of being employed to work moreso in the beauty industry rather than in a hospital type setting? If any nurses are currently working at a spa or something similar, what has your experience been? What about compensation? Would it be more beneficial to receive my BSN. Any info, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

How do you know if a medspa is safe?

Safe?

Hmmmm... contact the Better Business Bureau and ask if the medspa you are considering has had any complaints filed against them.

Also, if you've never gone to that medspa, call them and ask them for referrals of their customers. No referrals... NOT a good sign.

VISIT the medspa and ask them to give you a "tour" of the place. If they run a good shop, they should be PROUD to show it off.

Call the Chamber of Commerce where the medspa is located. Are they a member... in good standing??? Have they heard of any complaints about the particular medspa?

Hope this helps.

woud you recomend having laser hair removal at sleek medspa boca raton?

i'm planing on having laser hair removal. has anyone done that at sleek medspa? does it work? what other place is good to have laser hair removal at?
thanks

Hey! I'm not really familiar with that company... I happened to be at Miami Fashion Week (Funkshion) and saw that American Laser Centers was a sponsor. I'm not very familiar with them either but I did take a brochure for some of their treatments (just in case!). I don't know any numbers or anything but their webpage is www.americanlaser.com. Good luck! Let me know if you try Sleek!

My Best Friend used to work at Sleek Med Spa and she didn't have very positive things to say about them but I actually am doing hair removal treatments at American Laser and I love it!! Each time I go, I see more patches of hair go away and they also offer a 2 year guarantee which I was very impressed about.

I am interested in starting up a small business skin spa like medspa or skin solutions?

There would be more to it than just a small business start up. What would be my first steps?
Would a franchise be the way to go or something of my own?

Create a Business Plan before you do anything: Many on line sites and books on how to write a business. Most businesses fail in thier first year because the owners do not have all of the skills they need to be successful also because the owners did not realize howmuhc money they were going to need (remember you have to live while your business grows)

Research other spas in the area. Find out where they are, what they offer, how much they charge. Talk to some of the owners - most will talk to you about their business.

Many colleges have classes in small business - may take a class. Learn accounting and finance - learn Marketing and Sales.

Assess your strengths and weaknesses - be honest - if your weak in an area like accounting, you will need an accountant to help you.

Check into what local licenses you will need. There is a million details to work through - amke a list of everything you can think of - read books about small business.

It is not easy but can be very rewarding.

Good luck

that is a smart idea.
define your area of coverage
make a market project
make the business project
make a financial plan
find the founds and resources and get started!
good luck!

Hi Lexi, here is one that you should consider.Health and wellness is a huge market since everybody wants to be healthy. You need to affiliate with a financially strong company that has unique great nutritional products that people will buy and use.A company that has a re-order rate of 80%.A company with a generous pay plan that does not require a genius to figure out.Free web sites to promote the products.Details can be found at www.dna911.info

Does anyone have a review of reveal medspa for laser hair removal?

I haven't actally gone there but I have had laser hair removal. You need at least 6 treatments for it to work (where I went, after the 6th, your next is free). I've gone through 5 and have a few hairs left (lower legs, bikini, underarm, and forearms), although the very light hair still comes in the you can't see unless they glisten in the sunlight. You can't feel them though. Also, it's quite painful, kinda like someone popping a rubberband on your skin. Also, the laser works better on lighter skin that darker skin (and the lighter the skin, the less painful it's supposed to be). If you want to check out that place, try the Better Business Bureau on the internet.

Reveal MedSpa Alase laser hair removal- any good?

I live in the D.C. area and am curious about this new "Alase" laser hair removal offered at Reveal MedSpa. Has anyone had it done? Does it work? For how long? Is everyone really a registered nurse/ nurse assistant? The FDA website says that nobody can advertise "pain-free" laser hair removal but Reveal MedSpa advertises the "Alase" laser to be pain free. I also don't think it's FDA approved. It says on the website...

"if you've heard that laser- or light-based hair removal may not be an option for you, think again. Reveal is one of the few providers to offer this cutting-edge, FDA-approved technology"

It says Reveal MedSpa offers the FDA-approved technology (laser hair removal) not an FDA-approved laser. It seems like they're trying to trick people into thinking that the "Alase" is FDA-approved- is this place legit?

here is a detailed experiece from a lady who got it done from NY.. see if this helps you:

Anyone have any feed back on Sleek medspa?

My chemical peel appointment is tomorrow so I can't tell you about their services but I can tell you that when I stepped into the place, they were really nice and welcoming. I have been looking for an inexpensive place to get a chemical peel so I went in just to ask for prices. The receptionist couldn't give me prices and I had to wait for a consultant. When the consultant came out, she told me it is 175 for each chemical peel but they have a package of 10 peels for 1000 dollars. They had a 200 back to beauty sale so it would be 800 dollars (usa) so I figured it's average price (80 dollars for each peel) but she told me about this care credit thing they have where I don't have to pay interest for 1 year. I was attracted to this promotion so we immediately went into a room for a consultation. The consultation girl told me that in order to get th 1 year no interest, I had to spend over 1000 otherwise it would only be 6 months no interest. She asked if there was anything else so I inquired about how much laser hair removal behind my neck would cost (because I have a lot of baby hair on both sides of my neck and it looks weird when I put my hair up in a ponytail). She said it takes 6 sessions and it would of costed 1,400 but they have a 50% sale so it would be 700. She quickly calculated the cost per a month for a year and it would be around 125 a month which seemed like very little so I said yes and she did all the paperwork and I signed.

Overall, everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is really spa like. The only thing is that I kind of regret making such a rushed decision. I don't blame the consultant girl because I made the decision to do it but she was a good sales person I guess. I think I should of told her the laser hair removal is too expensive because I have a feeling that she could of went lower on the price. I forgot to mention that I had to bring up the 200 back to beauty discount (i got this by email) to her. So I recommend doing some research or ask friends if there are deals. Also, refunds are not allowed after u sign papers and they didn't tell me that, I found out after I called them asking if I can get the laser hair removal refunded since I didn't have my apointment yet for it... and they said no.

Hope this helps.
