I want to make a facial/mud mask but i don't know how and what to make it with. i don't really have money to pay for one. thanks a bunch!! =)
1. take some fuller's earth, add water, some drops of lemon juic eto it
2. gram flour, with turmeric powder, milk / water
3. blend some watermelon dices adn apply the wet pulp to ur face
4. a mixture of grapes, tomato and cucumber lights up the skin like magic. works gr8 on blemishes.

I was just wondering what are the uses of facial/mud masks?
Do they help in preventing pimples?
and which is better then which or is it different for all skin types??
some of them are meant to prevent zits and stuff but some are just meant to make your skin less of its extreme. ie, oily skin can be made less oily by a blend of cucumber, peppermint tea, and egg yolks. dry skin can be made less dry by using smooshed avacado on it. it sounds really weird but yeah thats actually what facials are supposed to do.
I am off to use a mask made out of egg whites, it tightens and draws up your face while it is drying, but once it is washed off, it is a great feeling.
If I use peanut butter as a mud facial, would I feel more comfortable if while I allowed my facial?
to do it's work ,I soaked my feet in grape jelly?

I'm curious how mud gets sanitized for spa use (mud facials and mud baths). Do they use chemicals or what?
Good question but one I never considered. The mud you buy in a health store for home use is a powder. So, I'd suppose the drying process, which probably involves heat, would sterilize the clay, much like soil is sterilized to use for seed starting. To use, you mix water into the powder and it becomes clay again.
