I was already having a rough day.
Sat in traffic for an hour. Computer crashed at work. Meeting pushed into my beloved lunch break — and I still hadn’t eaten.
So when I finally sat down and took a deep breath, it was on the lanai of SpaHalekulani , the award-winning spa at the luxurious Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki.
It wasn’t a bad place to end my workday.
I was here for the spa’s new seasonal facial, the very gentle Pumpkin Apple Peel Facial, which uses a natural blend of pumpkin extract and malic acid from apples.
The treatment started with the spa’s signature food pounding ritual done on the outdoor lanai. Your feet are wrapped in fragrant hot towels, then gently tapped with hand-woven coconut branches and finished with a lightly scented mist.
Next, I went into the softly lit treatment room for my facial, which started with an herbal cleanser and scrub. After that, the therapist applied the pumpkin enzyme mask, which is used to address the appearance of acne, hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps in normalizing oil production, reducing pore size and protecting the skin from free radical damage — as well as smell exactly like pumpkin pie. Bonus!

Where is a good relatively cheap spa in Edinburgh for a day trip before new year?
Planning on going down to Edinburgh before new year on the 30th. Looking for somewhere to go for a day spa with my girlfriend, bare in mind I am a student =] but would love to treat her to it before partying the next day.

How do I wire up my new aquaflow 2-speed spa motor.?
I just purchased a new aquaflow 2-speed spa motor. Unfortunately I did not pay attention when I took the old motor off as to which wire is for low speed and which is for high speed. The motor has terminals ground, line, high speed, and low speed. I know that green goes to ground and white goes to line (Common). What I don't know is which wire goes where for low and high speed (Red and Black Wires), or if it matters.
It doesn't matter. Red on one and black on the other.
green ground
black is use as low speed much more than red is
red is usally high speed
if the speeds operate any different than you had before just switch the black and red wires around

what would it cost to install a new electrical line for a spa?
I'm curious about adding a 220V circuit to my home to power a spa. I estimate the total distance to the spa as 60ft 20of that out into the yard. It's a single story easy access to the attic for wire pulling. I was just quotes $1200 + materials not including any trenching outside my house. exterior conduit would already have to be in place. Is this guy crazy or am I missing something here. You can straighten me out if I'm way off.

why does the water temp get above set point in my spa with brand new spa pack (Balboa vs501)?
The spa pack is less than 1 year old and has worked flawlessly until the outside air temperature started getting above 90 degrees. Unless I keep the cover open the temperature rises some 10 degrees or so. It is not even summer yet and I can't imagine what it will be like in July or August here in north Texas. Anybody have any ideas?
Dial the heat setting down to around 85 degrees and the hot tub will only heat with the outside air temp.I have to do it every summer.If it is a very hot summer I leave to cover off for the season.

I Cannot figure out the chemicals in my new spa. What does what exactly.?
We just bought a new PDC Spa. At first it was wonderful, then the water began getting cloudy.(It's still cloudy) It smelled like something died in it. We keep adding the santi spa, and the clear spa. That took care of some of the smell but it just isnt right. The testing strips it came with say that the PH is high but where it should be. I think anyway.. HELP!!!! We would love to have the clear clean water we had when we bought it.. After only 3 weeks.. its out of control.. From everything that I have read you should only have to empty and refill 4 times a year. What am i doing wrong?
There is a fine balance that must be maintained in the water. If you add too much of any one chemical it will throw off the balance of the others. The smell sounds like decaying bacteria that need to be filtered from the water. I would recomend that instead of using the test strips you purchase a test kit with bottled (liquid) reagents, they are generally more accurate. You need to run the filter on the spa at least 1 hr. every day, 2 would be even better. You need to check the directions for the filter and see if there is any media that you need to add. Also, you can take a bottle of the water from your spa to your local pool store and have them do a full panel of tests so that they can tell you EXACTLY what needs to be done to restore it to crystal clarity.

loans to START new businesses are practically impossible without a business plan and you'll probably still need a good percentage of your own money invested - banks will no longer take all the risk with new unproven businesses

I have never been at New Year, but I've been twice to Champneys at Tring and had a wonderful time. It's not cheap, but it is value for money, because the food is fabulous - healthy but fabulous - and there are two pools, a gym, beautiful grounds, and the rooms are really comfortable. I spoke to several people who said they go there regularly for New Year.
A couple of tips: don't pay extra for the Premier rooms, oddly enough, the standard rooms are more modern and nicer.
Take dvds with you if you want to watch them - there are dvd/cd players in the room, but they charge you quite a lot to rent them.
The only other spa I've been to is Inglewood, which was OK, but Champneys much nicer.
Opening Nov. 14: New Spa on Outer Church
There's a new spa opening on outer Church St. in Noe Valley next Monday, and it's not a nail salon. The K9 Scrub Club, first announced in July, is a locally-owned upscale dog spa.
