BBB warns of online spa sale CBC.ca

Numi Med Spa, which had operations in Orleans and Barrhaven, was offering spa services at discounted prices through a number of online coupon sites including Groupon and Living Social.

The spa offered 50-per cent discounts on four different on-line coupon sites ranging from teeth whitening to chemical facial peels.

Hundreds of people laid out thousands of dollars in advance for the services at Numi, but found the doors at both locations closed and the phones disconnected.

The company's website has also vanished.

Catherine Grand, who paid $300 for 12 treatments, started a Facebook page and was soon hearing similar complaints from customers and unpaid former employees.

She said the experience was a reminder that the buyer should beware.

"Don't buy three vouchers at 99 dollars each for a new company you know nothing about," said Grand.

The BBB has given Numi Med Spa an F rating after seven complaints went unanswered. The company is also in breach of conditions under the Federal Corporations Act.

It's not free, but there is a site for the spa trade. It's www.experienceispa.com. You can become a member of ISpa and receive resources for start-up.

The best site is about.com. It is quite informative, informatiion classified well and of high standard.

how do i check the balance of my green tangerine spa gift card online? There is no number and no option on site?

There is no option on the green tangerine spa website and there is no number on the back of the card. I;d rather check it online,it says thats how you do it on the card. I dont have time to go up to the salon, too much to do with the holidays arriving and this would be the easiest way.

Does anyone know any good websites for getting free online games like sallys spa?

Does anyone know any good websites for getting free online games like sallys spa? i need to know be cuz "Mostfun.com" dosent have it yet.

Well it depends. If you want to play them online, then try www.miniclip.com because they have a great selection. With Sally's Spa, you can't play it online, or its very rare to find it. You have to go to www.lifetime.com or Google it so you can download it. A safe website that has no viruses is www.bigfishgames.com. I hope I was of help.

www.candystand.com

www.miniclip.com

I play all my free online games at http://www.stumblehere.com/games.

The place to go is rewards1. Since your product is on the cheaper side it should take only about an hour to rack up enough points for your games. After you have gotten enough points searh the prize list for your games and if they are not found you can custom order them whereas they will send you a download code or ship the game to you free of any charge.

If you haven't already signed up, you can sign up under my referral link if you'd like right here to get sign up bonus points http://www.rewards1.com/index.php?referrer_id=260493
Note: The offers on this site only work for US and Canadian residents. But anyone can do referrals and earn prizes (as long as it is shipped via email, they will not ship physical items for anyone outside the United States or Canada).

Quick List of Prizes:

-Wii Points
-Nexon Cash
-DS/PSP system
-Various accessories
-Wii/Xbox360/PS3/XBOX Live Points
-Lots of different games
-Anything you want, just send them a support ticket and they'll buy you anything (like gift cards for EB Games or even eBay auctions, literally anything)

1 point = 1 USD.

Step By Step Guide (simplified):

1. Create an alternate email account at www.gmail.com (or other sites) and write down the username and password somewhere. Some offers need an email confirmation to get credited.
2. Sign up for the site using the above link. Give them your real email (they will not spam you).
3. Complete offers.
4. Pick your free item.

Tips & Tricks (highly recommend you read)

1. Use real info to make sure you get credit. You may get banned if you use fake information.

2. Download Roboform! I HIGHLY recommend this, as it will save you a ton of time when filling out forms. www.roboform.com is the link. It is free, you can just use the demo version and it's just as good (don't pay for the full version unless you want to). It's a lot better than Google Autofill also.

3. When going through giant lists of Yes/No forms, just hold down Tab and press the left arrow key over and over to do it automatically. Be sure to say yes to at least one offer to make sure you're credited (I usually just do the newsletters)

4. After every offer, clear your cookies. Lots of these companies are linked together and if you have the same cookies you may not get credited. To clear cookies, click Tools and then click Clear Private Data (it may say Delete Browsing History), and check the cookies box and click OK.

5. Frequently make new alternate email addresses and use them in offers to ensure the company doesn't know your info.

6. Use Internet Explorer because I've found offers credit more often with this because the security is lower.

7. Be sure to allow cookies on all sites and set privacy to none. To do this click Tools, click Internet Options, click Privacy, and then slide the bar all the way down to Accept All Cookies. If you have cookies off, you will NOT ever get credited.

Proof it works and why:

This is just a clever marketing tactic that benefits you. You see, advertisers pay Rewards1 to put up their advertisements, and using that money they pay for your gifts while still turning a profit for themselves. It's really logical and I don't see why people find it so hard to believe once explained thoroughly.

What is the best way to market online my new home beauty spa products?

My goal is to obtain as many customers online as I can... any ideas???
Thank you!

I just started an online business, link below, and I am doing a number of things to promote it:

-sign up with google adwords
-make pages on myspace and squidoo
-optimize your place on the search pages
-put your url in every email and forum post
-start a blog
-use PPC (pay per click) services

Those are just a few....there are so many more, you can easily find ideas on any search engine search.

Hi,

Nice day to you.

There are many ways you can do online advertising. Either payable or free.

Here are some online advertising you can do in low cost to promote your business.

Send Solo Ad.

Post your website to search engine. But you should know how to make your site post at the top rank. Otherwise you would get any traffic because nobody will read out all the search.

Post article to article directories is the most effective way to drive traffic.

Start a blog related to your business.

Participate in forum discussion.

You must also know where to find your customers?

How to determine who are your targeted customers?

Feel free send a blank email to me chriswwy789@yahoo.com with the subject "Advertising" to know more how to promote your business online effectively.

Best wish.

Kindest Regards,
Chris

where can i find the cheapest parts for a spa / hot tub online?

i need the circuit board and control panel for my hot tun and need where to find cheap parts.
anyone know??

ebay.com lol u saw it coming

try spadepot.com

You can try:

Intheswim.com

Leslies.com

These are both reputable companies and can find almost anything if not in stock.

What are some stores (online or offline) that sell mostly spa type products?

I'm just looking for a wide variety of bubble baths, soaps, bath crystals, etc....basically anything you use in the bath. Does anyone know any stores or websites that have a lot of these or even specialize in spa type things? Thanks in advance!

umm Spa.com

i love Bath and Body Works

i rrecommend Warm Vanilla Sugar
smells amazing

www.sephora.com
www.avon.com

i think the best place to get those types of things is Sally Hansens. It sells spa quality items and they are great. They have bath things as well as facial maskss and lots of other things.

aromantic.co

or perhaps
bath and body works..

I started a homemade spa products business. Where is a good place to advertise online?

Everything is homemade. My products include, but are not limited to: soaps, exfoliants, salt and sugar scrubs, facial wash, face masks, bath Salts, bath oils, milk baths, oatmeal baths, bubble baths, bath teas, bath bombs, salves, ointments & fizzies. I need a place to advertise.

If you have a website:
Build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:
http://www.avivadirectory.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=kahmer
http://www.kahmer.com
http://www.joeant.com
The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank
with Yahoo / Google / MSN.

Try ebay, they have a whole new section for homemade items.

you just missed a great spot to plug your business

im not sayin i want this site to be over run by ads but if i had a business i would put the name and adress everywhere

First of all congratulations on taking an entrepreneurial leap. As far as where to advertise have you considered checking out free sites like - myspace.com. It may not be a traditional marketing channel but its free and you can promote your products without the pressure of having to break even. You can also get your friends to include links to your site hence creating greater exposure for your products.

If you choose to go the more traditional route then I would recommend creating a traditional retail website and then partnering with well known industry distributors to endorse the product line. Good Luck!!

I agree selling on ebay maybe small sample sizes can be a way to get customers and they can pay just for small sizes to test it out. You can also use classified sites like yahoo has, if you have a profile at myspace you can link it from there and also try writing a press release.

hello
I;m selling text ads on 23 websites , all of them very popular you can buy from ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=220054313203&rd=1&rd=1
Another way to advertise is ppc search engine such as google.com/adwords or yahoo ppc or msn adcenter.
to read more about that visit www.ebooksbank.com where you can download tons of free ebooks that help grow your business good luck

Do you already sell your products offline as well? If you do this is a great source of feedback and testimonials that you can use in your promotions.

I agree that to start eBay would be a good place to introduce your products. Perhaps you could also offer wholesale lots for others to sell on eBay.

Do you have a website yet? You may want to consider creating a web presence if you are planning to sell a lot online.

Also you will need a way to accept credit cards online... Paypal is a good start and also you may want to checkout http://www.2checkout.com

To start, I would recommend using google adwords and other Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising (yahoo, microsoft). This is where you bid for keywords specific to your product/business and you only get charged if people click on your ad.
You've probably seen them "Ads sponsored by google" etc.

Now, be sure you direct your ads to a webpage that offers a free report and newsletter in exchange for their email address and name.

This way your PPC advertising expenses help you build a mailing list of interested people rather than just a website visitor.

Keep following up with your propects and offering them useful information and tips on how they can make best use of your product as well as a great introductory offer or free sample if you can afford it.

Building a prospect/customer list is one of the most important elements of building your business - online as well as offline.

Hope this helps
Wayne

There are several good answers given. Choose a course of action that can give you good results.

1. Definately list your products on eBay.
2. Find some niche bulletin board sites and plug your site (homeschool groups love natural homemade products).
3. Write a press release for your site and submit it to http://www.prweb.com

4. Place a free internet classified ad online with the many sites listed http://www.preferredpromoz.com/free-internet-classified-ads.html

Keep doing the little things and your traffic will grow & so will your sales.

There are several good places, but try these for free or low cost advertising that is for people who work from home--

http://www.my-mall-at-home.com

http://www.cybermomz.com

http://www.wahparentsmall.com/

also, you might look into creating a plug (88x31 pixel button) and going to

http://www.plug-board.com

they link to hundreds of sites for free.

Good luck. You are entering into a very competitive field. There is room for everyone who makes good products, but you really have to advertise alot!

Free advertising is always the best..

OK heres my issue not offense, Are you licensed? and had the education? What I mean is I have been licensed and doing skin care for 17 years. Do you have warnings on your products who can and cant use them and why? Do you have every bit of ingredients on your label? For example did you know if a clients has diabetes they cant exfoliate so you cant say its good for all skin types? If a person is on Retin A they have to be off it 4 months before they exfoliate? Did you know soap harbors bacteria when you keep picking it up and laying it down and sits in the wide open air? Are your packages bacteria free? How long do they stay stable for? I have had clients who have bought products that were homemade that have damaged there skin and had to see me to fix it. Its great you have a line and I'm not putting you down. In fact I would love to see your line.. Before you advertise just do your research and you will succeed. Go online check out other companies, see how there sites look prices etc. Hire someone to help you create your site.

Where is a successful online place to advertise my new beauti-spa products that does a fortune? Thanks?
