I want to get a permanent, but I don't know how they do it! Can you please explain it to me?

They roll your hair on perm rods,(the size of the rod depends on the size of the curl you want) then they squirt a chemical solution on your hair. Depending on what kind of perm the stylist gives you, you will have to wait in the chair or be placed under a drier for the perm to process. The chemical changes the structure of your hair follicle and makes it take the shape of the rod. Your hair is then rinsed and a solution called a neutralizer is put on your hair. This doesn't take very long, you leave it on around 10 minutes. It stops the processing from the first solution. Your hair is then rinsed again and the perm rods removed, often the stylist will now condition your hair and trim the ends if needed. I hope this is the information you needed. Good luck.

Recently I had my hair low lighted with permanent hair coloring to get rid of some gray hair, but the results were not good. Can the salon with permanent hair coloring remove the coloring and return to my original hair coloring.

Can I use permanent tattoo ink with a airbrush or temporary tattoo pen? Will permanent ink last longer than the temporary ink?

I know that unless I use proper machine, it won't be permanent.

Yes...duration depends on location, hey, its temporary.

How do I take semi permanent dye out while leaving permanent layer underneath intact?

I have naturally dark hair and a while ago, I dyed it a wonderful permanent blonde. Yesterday, over the blonde, I dyed it purple. The color is horrendous. I want to remove the purple (semi-permanent but over the blonde) but I don't know if it would be possible to get the blonde permanent back. I've heard that semi perm colors don't penetrate the hair but I really don't want to have to re-dye and start everything from the beginning.
If you can answer my question, then I thank you FOREVER!

Clairol makes a product called, "Uncolor". It will remove most of the semi-permanent color. I have used it once or twice to remove a rinse that was too dark.

Purple is my favorite color, but if you don't like it...fine! :(

I have filed to remove conditional permanent residence 3 months ago, we just did finger print and waiting to hear back from USCIS. But we are planning to move to different city in about 4 months. I was wondering what will be the process from now. How long does it take to get permanent residence status? Also, after she gets permanent residence status, does she have to wait for 3 years before apply for citizenship? Or can she apply after 1 year, since she has received conditional permanent residence status 2 years ago?

The USCIS website explains all this and the letter/s telling you about when to come in etc also explain it and tell you to visit the website, just as you can look up the estimated time for processing on your applications online on the USCIS website.

My fiancé and I are getting married in Mexico. Her best friend is not a US citizen, but is a permanent resident alien. She does not have a passport from her home country. It has long expired from Russia, and she cannot get a new one. All she has is a valid driver’s license and her permanent resident alien card. What else will she need?

Must have valid passport and green card. Otherwise, she has change to be denied to enter both Mexico and US.
She can get Russian passport at Russian Consulates in US.

How do you turn an internship to a permanent position?

I recently accepted an internship offer in which after three months, there is a possibilty that it will turn into a permanent position. I am guessing whether I get the full-time permanent position is contingent on my performance and whether there are any positions available after the three months. How do I improve my chances of turning the internship into a permanent job? How do I let my employers know that I want to work with them after the three months are over? Have any of you ever been in my situation? I've already had one internship after college graduation, and I am really hoping this is my last internship I have to do before I get a full-time permanent job.

One good way to position yourself for the prized permanent position is to do the following:
- Perform your current assignments as if you were a permanent employee already.
- Follow the example of the company "winning team"...come in early, leave late, come in during weekend and get the job done in time, on budget
- Excel in understanding your company customer, client base. Anticipate needs and provide suggestions, courses of action to your management team
- Look for challenging assignments and volunteer to work them. This act shows initiative and desire to make your work place a better place.
- Be a good team player...provide your assistance to other employees and help them succeed

These are a few pointers I found in winning individuals. Hope they work for you.

What is the easiest way to remove permanent marker marks?

i've written my name w/ a permanent marker on a TI-84 Plus calcultaor... the permanent was borrowed from ma friend and it was a Japanese brand permanent marker... my name was written two years n i want to erase everything that i've wrote... how do i remove the marks? and what is da easiest way? i've tried using 70% alcohol but it won't come off

The main trouble with your situtation is that solvents which will remove the marker will also likely damage the plastic housing of the calculator.

Goof Off is great for removing marker, as is Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). Trouble is, they will make you dizzy and will probably leave a melted looking spot behind.

You might want to use a thick black pen to write a block over your name; you can also get silver enamel markers at any craft shop.

You could also buy a case for it (Graphing Calculator Case
Graphing Calculator Case, Item # 21080713 , Style # OM96457, $9.99) and say you're sorry about the marker.

How long does it take for demi permanent hair color to wash out?

I was thinking of using RAW Deep Purple Demi-permanent hair color to dye my hair without having the commitment of permanent hair dye. However, I heard that it stains the hair. If I change my mind and want to go back to my natural hair color, how long will it take to go back or how should I go about to get the natural color back? Also, if you have any suggestions on other purple demi-permanent hair colors that don't stain as badly please tell!

What colour is your hair now? If it's dark, then you will just get subtle purple tones which will gradually wash out over a month or so. If your hair is blonde, then it might last longer, but will still fade to probably a lilac kind of colour.
Semi-permanent dyes only penetrate the hair shaft by a small amount. So they wash out gradually and don't leave visible roots. If you wanted to remove the dye quicker, you could just use another semi permanent dye close to your natural shade, or shampoo your hair with a cheap shampoo which will tend to strip the colour out (use a heavy duty conditioner afterwards if you do that)
