Radisson SAS Iveria Hotel Spa Offering Promotions for Christmas The FINANCIAL

According to its Director Nico (lay) Dimitrov, if people buy 2 gift certificates worth over 100 GEL then they will receive a 30 minute, Blissful Back, Neck and Shoulder massage for free. The Spa Director promises to add some novelties to the centre for the New Year.

“I would like to introduce to you a Christmas promotion which is valid until the end of this year. When you purchase two gift certificates worth over 100 GEL (for example two massages), you are entitled to receive a third gift certificate, which will be extremely relaxing 30 minute Back, Shoulders and Neck massage, free of charge,” Dimitrov says.

“If someone important in your life is reluctant to treat him/herself to time in a luxury day SPA, a gift certificate from you to that person will promise to be a big success. It’s not very well known in Georgia yet, but it’s a common practice in Europe, noticeably in the UK, that when Christmas comes people start buying gift certificates for various SPA treatments, body scrubs and different kinds of massage services for their friends and family. It’s a very unique product because this kind of present is something that people don’t just go to a shop and buy for themselves,” Dimitrov says.

I have a Hayward pool pump and am not sure how to turn on the spa properly.?

My grandmother owns a pool/spa and has managed to lose her chart on the positions to which the valves should be turned in order to operate her spa and pool correctly. Mainly, I just want to know what position the valves should be in to get the spa jets running and what position it should be in regularly. Thanks a lot.

if its a t handle type valve the t will point with the pipe when open and across it when close... how about just filping the switch and turn them see what happens and leave them that way i never mess with mine til the winter frezee comes anyways

What are some facials with common household items for a party? Any pool/spa hotel sleepover tips?

Also, I need some sleepover tips, activities, ideas, and everything. Also, stories from your sleepovers would help too. I am going to have a pool/spa hotel party. We would stay the night at a hotel. We're going to go swimming, and then we're going to do a homemade spa thing! Please help!

See if your hotel offers video games or movies. You can play those while taking turns in getting nails done and what not. And since you're with your friends, I doubt there is a chance you guys will run out of things to laugh or talk about.

Make a list of the facials and other things you'd like to do. and have it around for your guests to see what they'd like. Here are suggested links.

Don't forget to bring in all of the ingredients of what you need
and extra towels (as well as lots of food. So keep extra money and a list of delivery places; or a cheaper option, ask everyone to bring something, whether it be sweets, pizza, etc.). Oh and be sure to have cameras. Have a photo shoot of before and after the facials and what not. You could also have little souvenir bags for your guests. Useful beauty toiletries like compact mirrors, lip balm, travel sized lotions, little combs, little nail polish bottles.... They're not all that hard to find and easy on your wallet.

These are just a few ideas of many. Like I said before, with a few friends over a night, I'm sure you won't run out of things to do.

Have fun=)

best exfoliant ever:
bicarb soda (baking soda)
water based cleanser (eg cetaphil)
mix together with a touch of water and use as you usually would with other cleansers.
its awesome :)
facial with fruit are also great, there are plenty of recipes on the net.
have fun :)

How much does it cost monthly to have a built-in pool & spa?

I am considering buying a pool home in Riverside County California. I would like to know how much the electricity and pool maintenance costs per month are to help me decide if I really want to buy a home with a built-in pool and spa. What are the pitfalls to pool ownership?
Let say its 12' Wide x 18' long by 4' deep. Heated by either gas or electric with a 4 person size spa attached. How much for the pool guy and chemicals too?

In Riverside County, CA. If you are in So Cal Edison you can expect to pay about $30/month on electricity for a one pump system.

If you have a heater that is primarily to heat the spa since using it to heat the pool too would cost around $350 for one weekend in the Winter. Spa use is several dollars per use in WInter, less other times of the year.

Pool Maintenance is around $100 per month some chemicals included others extra.

Pool maintenance is not difficult to do. I tell my customers that you should spend less time on the pool than the grass it replaces! This is if you know what you are doing. A poorly maintained pool will get out of hand in less than one weeks time particularly in the summer.

My advice, get a pool maintenance company that will show you what to do and hire them for several months to teach you.

If you bought a repo and the pool is empty you should have or should get an extended warranty to cover the pool and related expenses since leaving a pool empty for longer than one week is bad practice. If this is the case you need to get a pool inspection service they will pressure test your pool plumbing, test equipment and check the filter for a fee.

Send me an email as I live in the area for more information.

You're welcome!!

Is the pool heated? How, gas or electric? How big is it? How big is the spa?

Somebody needs all those pieces before giving you a meaningful answer.

Hey Girl hope i can answer your Questions, It Cost more to heat by Electricity, my bill was $180.00 amonth but when i use the heater
( electric ) it goes up to about $500.00 A month now thats useing it alot almost every day out of the month, pool guys usually run about $100 to $120 a month hope this helped

What is the best O-ring material to use in a swimming pool/spa water environment?

A few years ago someone told me the best material to use for an O-ring seal in swimming pool and spa water was peroxide cured EPDM (ethylene propylene dimonomer). Is this still the case or is there a newer material which lasts longer in the chlorine water environment?

no epdm is the best

Chlorine can eat away (waste and shrink) rubber compounds and the best would likely depend on industry experience. You should consult a pool expert (like NONAME?) to determine what is preferred use today.

Lubricants like Magic Lube (Teflon based) or Jack's Lube are always great.Just stay away from any petroleum based products as they will breakdown the rubber and cause it to crack.

Can i write off a pool/spa for medical reasons?

I have a very bad back, I get treatments offen. My doctor told me that water aerobics is very good. I was told that if I get a prescription from my doctor that i can write off the cost of a pool/spa for medical reason? Is this true ? If so, what all do i need to do?

You basically need a prescription from your doctor verifying this is the case. And you may want to check with a tax accountant on the best way to proceed before you spend the money.

But personally, if a pool/spa relieved back pain for me I would buy it anyway and if I got a tax break later, so much the better.

Does anyone know which swimming pool pump has the best value for the money for both pool and spa?

I had a pool built just 2 years ago. My spa is not generating any bubbles or jets as it was the first year. It has a Hayward pump to filter both pool and spa. This was highly recommended by the builder. But now, my pool cleaner guy cleans the filter every week so the spa can get some pressure. He says that he wouldn't have bought a Hayward pump. Also, said he would have another pump for the spa. I don't know anything about pools and want to learn, so I don't have to second guess everyone in the pool business. I don't have money to burn like some friends of mine that just keeps paying a pool guy to fix everything for them.
I would like to do it myself and save my money.
any comments or suggestions are welcomed.
thank you in advance.

If you have a single pump for pool and spa, and the pump is keeping your pool and spa clean, its not the pump. Hayward is an INDUSTRY STANDARD pump. 8-9 out of 10 pools have Hayward pumps on them most likely.

It sounds like a configuration problem with your plumbing, maybe its not set up properly, or your filter grids <which decrease your pressure> may need to be changed, they can become chemically blocked and inefficient. Check with your pool store to get some cleaning materials for it. That may help you rather than buy new filter grids.

Generally speaking a pool pump should circulate the entire water contents of a pool within 10 hours. A standard pool pump starts at about $55 online; while a heated pool pump with digital display can cost upwards of $3000.

If the filter needs to be cleaned, it sounds like the pump is doing it's job. Once a week cleaning sounds pretty darn good to me.

What is the "green" way to heat my swimming pool and spa with out using gas or electric?

outdoor ingroung pool 10M x 4.5M its 1.4M average depth
The spa or hot tub is a 4 seater approx 1500lt with cover

I have been looking for a "Green" solution to pool heating give these guys go, the web site is www.genersys.com.au
They can heat pools and spas and the panels has a 20year warranty.

A solar cover.

I'm pretty sure that they make solar covers or solar powered heaters or wind or water powered

Solor cover.

Powla has it! Used these guys to heat my pool and it all runs off the sun....no gas or electric needed. Bliss in a balmy pool sipping a cool drink.....the kids love it too. Give them a go.

We need to have pool /spa tile replaced, how much per ft should l expect to pay if I provide the tile?

We live in the Cincinnati area and recently moved in a house with pool built in 2000. It appears they built the pool with a non frost tile, all of the tiles are chipping and flaking. The pool is gunite.

Around $3.50/sq.ft., but get quotes from EXPERIENCED tile installers!!

Inground pool/spa pump and return settings?

We just moved into a house with and inground pool and hot tub with water fall into the pool. There are 4 ways to set it the pool return spa return thing and I can have both open or one closed at a time and the skimmer and spa suction, same thing. What is day to day setting, and what should they be for using the hot tub?

Your have the following pipes to either open or close: Pool suction, spa suction, pool return, spa return. In normal operation you would draw water from the pool (open pool suction and close spa suction lines), and return water to both (pool return line fully open, spa return line full or partially open). This allows filtered water to return to both bodies of water and allow for the "waterfall" feature while preventing draining the spa. Some pools have a return line automatically designated for going to the spa when in "pool mode" so you can shut your spa line completely off. Try it and see if water still flows to the spa. If not, open up the valve to your preference. Other pools have a separate valve for spa overflow.
When using the spa open up spa suction and return and turn off pool suction and return. On some pools there are individual valves for each line, some have 3-way valves so that one valve can open or close either pool or spa suction or return lines.

Closing a vinyl liner in ground pool with "spa stairs"?

I have an inground pool with spa jets built into the stairs.I havent been able to find any way to plug the jets when closing the pool for winter ,so water wont enter the lines.Ive looked everywhere but havent jhad any luck.I know I cant be the only person around with spa jets in the stairs of an inground pool.
Any info would bne helpful. The stairs are sort of fiberglass or resin material and the jets are hard plastic such as what is used on the return jets by Hayward and other manufacturers. There is a threaded section on the jets that lead me to believe that someone makes a plug for them but Ive not been able to locate a manufacturer that even makes such a jet.

Would any of the rubber expansion plugs work? (If it's the fitting I'm thinking of, probably not...)They range from about #11 down to # 0. (The #9 plug is used in 1 1/2" threaded fittings... other sizes fit larger and smaller openings.) Most pool places should carry them, or you can find them online...
