Supercuts Ranked #1 Hair Care Franchise PR Newswire (press release)

, President of the Supercuts Franchise Association and a multi-unit franchisee himself, attributes the salon brand's success to the excellent working relationship that franchisees have with Regis Corporation.

"There are other franchisors that don't operate the stores they franchise," explained Grace, who opened his first Supercuts in 1980. "Regis owns and operates salons – including Supercuts – across the country. They understand and respect what franchisees do because they do it every day."

Grace also believes that Supercuts' #5 ranking in Entrepreneur 's "Franchise 500" speaks to the brand's strong franchisee network. "This franchise has a tremendous, built-in support system that is hard to create on your own," Grace said. "We have strong leadership, attend conferences, share best practices and even have an online community bulletin board where we post questions, help each other out, and offer advice. Overall, this recognition reflects how well we all work together – from each Supercuts stylist to our franchisee network to Regis Corporation and their support."

what is the best professional hair product for dry and damaged hair?

i want to ask for an expensive hair product to treat my dry and damaged hair for christmas. i straighten my hair a lot for school therfore i have many split ends. i dont care how much it costs becuase this is a christmas present. i heard redken is good. can anyone please reccomend something that will moisturize and replenish my dead hair?

thankyou =]

most professional products that say they help control the damage your hair has, work. Just make sure you get them at a salon, and not a drugstore. Professional knock-offs in drugstores can be tampered with or worse. The stylists at the salon can better see and feel your hair, and tell you exactly what you need.

A good shampoo & conditioner will help as well =) Matrix sleek look is good, in the orange bottles. It works well for people who straighten their hair a lot. You also should invest in a heat protector for when you straighten. Matrix sleek look makes a great protector, chi silk infusion is good, paul mitchell super skinny is good for coarser hair..

hope this helped =)

why does it have to be expensive??? CHI products are wonderful, hask placenta with hot oil treatment is the best. redken, paul mitchell is good and the best is biosilk. good luck

I would recommend going to the hair dresser, cutting the dead ends, and taking the vitamin Biotin (good for .hair, skin and nails)

Kronos! This product works great if you have any of the following problems:

* Thinning hair that lacks volume
* Dry, frizzy, unmanageable hair
* Limp, lackluster hair
* Damaged, weak hair with split ends
* Dull hair with poor color retention

Professional hair product that will give me wavy hair?

My hair is barely wavy and I want it more wavy....so what are some professional products that will give me more waves...???
not curly, just wavy, and I want a professional product that won't dry my hair out

i use sunsilk wave gel cream twist thing

its not professional
but it works for me

you dont need a product for wave you can get pin curls

Would you consider TRESemme a professional hair product?

It says it is on the bottle but it's store bought.

It does say so on the bottles and the commercial. I don't think it's all that great, though. I use it and my hair isn't soft or anything. I think it's just like any regular shampoo. I never see salons using it really. =/

It wasn't always available in stores... It used to only be found in salons.

So I would consider it somewhat professional.

No.They say it started in salons but it is very poor quality. If you want quality you have to pay and as you can see by the price of the products,TRESemme really is cheap.

I don't know why they call it that. You can buy L'Oreal, and it's professional.
I personally so not like TRESemme. I have two of their products and they do not work well at all. The sjine spray smells like alcohol and does not make my hair shiny. I also have the Tres Mousse. IT makes my hair stiff. Maybe I just don't know how to use the mousse. Oh well, then the instructions on the side aren't very good.

yea it is and it store bought and it cause it salon quality

What's the best and cheapest professional hair product brand?

and where can I buy it?
preferably at ULTA

I love Matrix, but it's not that cheap. I like Garnier, Herbal essences and L'Oreal paris.

i swear by biolage.

Tresemme is professional and it's cheap

Does Hair Dye Effect Children Who Are Still Growing? Professional Hair Product Employees Please Help!?

My mom was told that she couldn't dye her hair when she was pregnant, and she thinks that young children (Ages 0-15) can't dye their hair because it would effect their brains. Is this true? Would hair dye actually effect the thinking of young children by the dye being absorbed into their scalps? Should everyone dye their hair at ages 16, 17, or 18 at least?

I'm grateful for any one's opinion!

I am not a medical doctor, however i am a hairdresser. I have never encountered anything but an allergic reaction to hair color. That would include rashes, redness, bumps, etc. I also have colored children's hair as young as 7. Now i also have colred many pregnant woman, and i also colored my own hair when i was pregnant. I have never witnessed or heard of anyone getting sick, or having long term side effects from getting their hair colored. If you feel that nervous about it, just get highlight thru a cap or foils, this method will not touch your scalp.

I don't know that there is a lot of research in respect to colouring your hair when you are pregnant, but it's always best not to take a chance. If you are using dye, then you are just asking for trouble! No one has used fabric dye to colour hair for over 50 years -- there are better products on the market these days. You need to review http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_coloring for all the details.

There is no good reason for any child to colour their hair! Why? Children have the best colour they are going to get, and should enjoy it while they can. A mother cannot be doing a good job if she allows a child to have coloured hair. Again, there isn't enough research to prove that there is any damage done to a child, but you have to consider that they are still growing, and the strong chemicals can be absorbed, and may do a lot of permanent damage. Why take a chance? It's not the brain that is damaged. The foreign chemicals are absorbed through the skin into the blood, and goes throughout the body. The damage can show up anywhere, and many long years later. (Some of the earlier tints contained aniline dyes in hair tints, and were shown to cause cancer in rats that ate it. They have all been removed, and replaced with other chemicals, but we still don't know about how harmful they are.)

A person should be old enough to make a responsible decision about these matters. Some people are simply never old enough even at 50!! But we try to protect our children for as long as we can. Certainly, in some states, a child can legally make their own decisions at 18, and whether right or wrong, they can do almost what they want with their hair. Let's not push them into old age too soon.

I want to highlight my hair using professional product. How do I know what kind of product/developer to buy.?

I know I need color and developer, but I do not know what brand (I want the best kind for best results) and I do not know what developer is but i know I need it. I am wanting to go from a "dirty/golden blond" to a more lighter (about 3 shades or so)..almost bleached but not white. I want to go to Sally's beauty supply to get the professional products. I'm planning on using foil too.

I am a stylist and own my own salon and the most important thing I can tell you is to put the product on roots only then at the end take out all the foils and pull rest of product through the ends. If you don't do this your ends will be come over processed and break off. I only use bleach 20 volume developer because using a blonde will only bring you up 2 levels and will still leave your roots a tad brassy, Do the top and sides 1st, then do crown and back part ,roots only with a 30 or 40 developer , you will need help with this its completely impossible to foil your head alone. Good luck and remeber roots only at first

I don't recommend any home highlights because they usually turn your hair copper or gold... trust it from someone who's tried. Or, even worse, a yellowy color.

Developer is the white conditioner looking stuff (base for hair dye) I wouldnt go 2 Sallys those retards get paid $8/hr & have no idea what theyre talking about. Anything Loreal is good, never Revlon & never any color with the word "ash" or "golden" that translates to grey & orange. The best hair dye 2 lighten hair is Loreal super blonde you can buy it at Walmart it will most likely be on the very top shelf. Good luck

The color/shade you select will tell you which developer to use on the package, for virgin hair usually 30, maybe higher if you choose a lighter blond. Darker colors will usually ask for 20dev To achieve brighter blonds, you'll need to invest in a booster powder to mix with the developer, then add the color, mix, and apply.

best professional hair product for long curly hair?

i have natural curly hair. it's really unruly curls though.. i want to have soft curls. and i want to have hydrated, soft, silky, shiney, and smell good hair. and my hair's really big, but i want it to go down. whats the best shampoo, conditioner, mouse/gel for my problem?

and what can i use for when i want to have straight hair?

list THE best please. i don't want the stuff that you can get from walmart. moneys NOT the matter. i want professional hair brands.

(:

I have very difficult hair. I've ruined myself with professional products until I found Redken. I use the Fresh Curls line for curly hair. The important thing to learn is to use products that suit your natural hair type. Using a shampoo to get straight hair if your hair is naturally curly will cause frizz. Products for curly hair have extra moisturisers that such hair types need. I suggest you buy the whole line of Fresh Curls products (about $100) - this will give you lots of flexibility in styling your hair every day.

If you want a straight look from time to time, wash your hair as usual with your Fresh Curls shampoo and conditoner. You can then use FHI Heat Hot sauce and CHI Silk Infusion to help when styling with hot tools. Those two products make your hair incredibly shiny, healthy-looking and protect it from the heat.

TiGi BedHead control freak !
I love it, it's for straight and curly hair. I have no fizz whatsoever ever since i use it. I love the whole bedhead brand. They have mouse that will give you pinstraight hair !

It's around 40 dollars, not bad right ? since money is not a problem for you, get it ! It smells good too! the control freak one smells like gummy bear.

aveda products are all natural and some of the best hair products out there. they have a product called be curly and it makes your curls smooth and frizz and poof free. it also adds some shine. it is a little expensive but id say its worth it. it smells great too.

Got2B Curlvacious is GREAT also for hairspray you can use big sexy hair it works amazing it holds for like a day and a half!

for tame, hydrated, shiny, ect curls go to mixedchicks.net they are the best, atleast they work for me.

for straight... there are a million and 1 products and brand names to choose from but i would sugesst paul mitchell and even though you can get it at wal mart(lol) nexxus works wonders

Know of any professional hair products that increase hair growth?

My hair seems like it gets shorter and shorter and I've been getting worried a bit. D you know of any professional hair products that increase hair growth?

The amount of time hair spends in the growing phase varies from about 2 yrs to 6 yrs. People with a short growing cycle will never have very long hair. If your hair isn't growing as long as it used to that means it spending less time in the growing phase. If your hairs are also getting thinner and weaker it may mean that the follicle is narrowing.

Scalp massage with essential oil formulas can help keep the follicle healthy and energized which can help the hair grow faster and healthier.

Would you classify John Frieda as a salon brand or professional type hair product company?

yes, it is a professional hair product : )

Have professional hair companies given up on their own product protection?

Have you noticed you can purchase Matrix, Paul Mitchell and any other product at your local grocery store, Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, BJ's Wholesale and Sams Club? They ALL say that they are not guaranteed unless purchased in a professional salon, these places are not salons so why are all the hair companies like TIGI and Matrix not doing anything? Any ideas?

Paul Mitchell came out with a commerical that said some people try and copy his products and sell them to drug stores but they are not the real thing. It is like trying to sell a Cd that is pirated. It is not the same quality. So yeah it is people who are copying the bottle and put cheap shampoo inside.
