How to have a relaxing at home spa day?

I would like to have a laid back, relaxing spa day.
Any tips, recipes, or things you do to make your spa day wonderful?
all are appreciated

oooo! me too! I am so bored right now! OMG I think that I am going to see if I can buy a really good book like the third book from the twilight series. Then I am going to clean my room and make my bed with clean sheets then I am going to have my spa day...

1. make plans for something to do tonight w/friends
side note: Make yourself a really good smoothie to kick off your spa day and make a really good cd to listen to while you are doing your spa
2. Pick out a really cute outfit
3. Take a bubble bath or a streaming hot shower
4. Leave streaming shower on (creating a sauna)
5. Wash face with facial scrub then put on face mask
6. While still in the bathroom paint toes and fingers
7. Then take off face wash and blow dry hair
8. put on cute outfit and style hair
9. Put on make up
10. Yeah! I feel relaxed

lol hope this helps ahahaha

Hello, you had your email turned off, so I am responding to the question I asked earlier title, "Any teen fashion lovers out there?"

How can I have a nice relaxing spa day?

I am so tired because I have to run around and so arronds every day. I feel as if I should have a nice relaxing day to myself. Any ideas on how I can? Thanks!

Add some colored bath salts to the tub water, dim down the light and just relax with a book ;-)! Have fun!

open the tub full of hot water and add some bubbles.....

Bubble bath
Candles
Face mask

You can buy in wilkinsons or boots e.c.t for 99p face masks and foot scrubs and hair masks, get some sented candles burning round the bath and some nice soft bubble bath, or you can make your own face masks in advance (look on internet for it).
best of luck!

Go to a trusted spa and get a treatment.

How do I have a relaxing spa day at home?

I need a lazy Sunday. What can I do to have a relaxing pampering day at home tomorrow? (Recipes, instructions.)
lol! I should! But I'm sure he wouldn't agree to that. ;)

First off, KUDOS for taking some time for yourself. So many women out there need to do that and I think it's very cool that you are.

I would reccomend candles, candles, candles!!! Candles around the tub, candles next to the bed....Don't hurt your eyes with any of that crazy florescant lighting for just ONE day!

You should take a relaxing milk bath! Start by running your tub with some nice warm water and then pour in half a cup of milk with just a hint of cinnamon and cocoa powder (about 2 teaspoons of each)! The cocoa powder has caffine in it which will wake your skin up and give you a nice glowing rich tone. The cinnamon is really just for the scent. (Don't drink the bath water...you will be tempted because it will smell SO good!)

After you get out of the tub take some time to moisturize your skin with your favorite scented lotion. Make a point to focus on dry areas and don't be too gentle! A little light kneading of the skin gives it some more color.

I would take a little time to really condition my hair! Use a rich hydrating conditioner and wrap a warm damp towel around your head and just sit and read a magazine for about 10 minutes, then rinse!

After that eat a meal, IN BED! In your pjs! You should pop in a movie and have a bowl of your favorite cereal!

I understand that it is hard to just relax in bed all day, so when you feel yourself getting restless pop on some music videos and just dance and have some fun, you deserve it!

Paint your nails a fun color!! Rid yourself of old attatchments and take a second to delete any old emails! You will be amazed by how relaxed and calm you feel after you just get rid of all that clutter! Buy yourself something fabulous online!!

I hope this helps you, and that you have a wonderful spa day!

get one of those massaging feet things and make your husband give u a pedicure!lol!

where to relax at a day spa with my friends. ?

hi i was wondering if anyone would know of a place to go in adelaide to relax, eat swim in the pool in a relaxed quiet enviroment , just to do for the day only.... not and actual weekend thing. any resorts...??

I think you should search the Google site for Day spas and find one that you like.

Dead sea spa in Jordan !

I can only think of one, and that's at the marina pier in Glenelg. So I googled day spas in Adelaide and it's come up with a long list. Here's the link for the list.

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&rlz=1T4SUNA_enAU257AU258&resnum=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Adelaide+day+spas&fb=1&split=1&gl=au&view=text&sa=X&oi=local_group&resnum=1&ct=more-results&cd=1

Hope you have fun!

I don't think we have anything like that.

There is Next Generation Gym's that have that sort of atmosphere

http://www.nextgenerationclubs.com.au/adelaide/recFac%20-%20Relax.html

Also a work out if you want :)

Apart from that there are the regular day spas in adelaide that just do the facials and spas etc!

Whats the best way to have a relaxing spa experience in your house?

I want a day to relax, but i can't afford the fancy day spas so what can i do to have a very relaxing day. Likke what would contribute to a spa experience. Please any ideas
Thanks

lets see, bath and body has some spa body wash and bubblebath, so just light a few candles in your bathroom, play some soft music and sit in a nice warm bubble bath, thats how i relax at home

1. light aromatherapy candles

2. put a couple drops of lavender essential oil in a warm bath and soak

happy relaxation!

HELP! I want to have a relaxing spa day for myself at home? need tips! ~~10 points~~ NEEDED BADLY!?

I want to have a relaxing spa day at home for me and maybe my friend. How can I go about it? I am on a buget of about $20-30 or under! Any good products, links, step by step? HELP!
and only serious answers. I really need ideas!!!

in whichever room you're doing it, drape a bright coloured curtain over it to create a relaxing glow...(i reccomend pink) play some soothing classical music and light lots of candles (vanilla is great!) dont bother with nail polish because any mess-ups will just stress you out but treat yourself to a foot and hand scrub or mask and creme. also buy a nice face mask... at cvs or any other drug store you could get a great avocado one for all skin types.
take a bubble bath and in it put a capfull of baby oil or sweet almond oil, add a vanilla (or favourite scent) bath bomb (chocolate scent is great too!)
have everything planned out for when you get out of the tub. make sure the bathroom is perfectly cleaned and your towel is out along with a warm bath robe and slippers. make yourself some tea or hot water to sip throughout your bath... if it spills, no worries! herbal teas are great for the skin. maybe put out some chocolates for yourself as well.
spa days are my favourite but i hate when things arn't ready or organised, its so stressful and although it seems like nothing, it can really ruin the whole thing to have to run around looking for a towel or product or something, so just make sure you're ready before you start
have fun!!

take a bath,
exfoliate,
shave everywhere really well,
give yourself a nice mani-pedi,
face mask,
play calming music, and just
relax!

[i recommend bath and body works for all supplies. talk to a sales associate]

candles are the most relaxing thing in the world.
if you turn off all the lights and just light a bunch of good smelling candles its very relaxing.
bubble baths.
nice music.
maybe read some magazines.

Tomorrow I have the day to relax and want to have some homemade spa treatments.?

I dont have time to run out a buy anything so keep that in mind. Tommorows my last day of winter break so I want to make it relaxing. What should I do?Thanks for all the help!

Homemade Face Masques:

* MAYONNAISE. Apply whole egg mayonnaise on your face (right from the jar) for about 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Great skin care treatment.

* PEACH & BRANDY. Mash up a peach (use ripe, canned or frozen) and mix in a tablespoon of brandy. Leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse off.

* TOMATO MASK. For oily skin, mash up a ripe tomato and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm (not hot) water.

* BANANA MASH. Mash up a very ripe banana. Add just enough honey to make a soft pulp. Apply over face and hair.

* HONEY MASK. Apply pure honey (straight from the bottle) to your face and neck. Allow it to set until dry (about 15 minutes). Rinse with very warm water.

* MILK OF MAGNESIA. Apply it straight from the bottle. Let it dry for about five to ten minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then gently pat your face dry with a fluffy towel.

* PEPTO BISMOL. This is a face mask particularly suited for those with sensitive skin. In the same way that this product coats the stomach, it gently caresses the face. Apply it straight from the bottle, using a cotton swab. Allow to dry, then rinse with cool water.

*FOR OILY OR ACNE PRONE SKIN: 1 medium size apple, grated fine combined with 5 tbs. honey

*CARROT: 2-3 large carrots and 4 1/2 tablespoons honey
Directions: Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.

*TROPICAL CITRUS MASK: If you want to avoid lots of clean up, before applying this mask cover your face with cheesecloth (with holes cut out for eyes and mouth). Mix together: 1 ripe banana, 1 tsp. Olive oil, 1 drop Orange essential oil. Smooth over face and leave on for 15 - 20 minutes. Rinse off with tepid water. Smooth on a rich moisturizer.

Hair Mask:

*FOR SHINE: Lightly beat two eggs mixed with some milk and run throughout your hair. Leave on for 5 minutes, rinse and you'll see a shine instantly.

*MAYAN HAIR MASK: Ancient Mayan Inca and Aztec women believed that avocados fed the skin from the inside and outside. Make sure you save the avocado pit, setting it in a place where it can dry out. Mix together: ½ ripe avocado, 1 tbsp. olive oil, ½ small banana and 1 egg yolk. Gently massage onto hair and scalp and cover with a shower cap. Leave on 1 hour and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Shampoo as usual.

Bath Additives:

*MOOD ENHANCER: Add 1/4 cup of pure vanilla extract to a warm bath. Vanilla has the ability to lift spirits and revive.

*MOOD ENHANCER: Take a handful of pine needles and place them in the foot of old panty hose. Knot around the faucet and let the pine hydrate under running bath water.

*SOFTER SKIN: Take an old sock, fill it with Oatmeal (Quakers is good) and drop into you bath. Immediately softens skin!

Eye Brightener:

*UNDER EYE CIRCLES: To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the residue and apply an eye cream.

Lips

* HONEY ORANGE LIP BALM: If you like your lip balm to have a thinner, glossier consistency, use more olive oil. If you like a thicker, creamier feel, use less. Heat 2 tbsp. Chopped beeswax in a double boiler until melted. Remove from heat. Slowly pour (up to you) cup olive oil into beeswax and stir to mix. Add 1 ½ tbsp. honey and 5 drops Orange essential oil. Stir continuously to mix until cool. Pour into a clean container with a lid. Tightly seal.

Feet

*BEAUTIFUL FEET: If you take 1 cup Lemon Juice, Cinnamon (for smell), 2 tablespoons (or less) olive oil, 1/4 cup of milk, and water you can make a wash that leaves skin refreshed and fragrant (the amount of water does not matter). If you do not like the cinnamon smell you can replace it with another spice, perfume, or flower petals such as roses. After you make it, you can put it in a tub were you can soak your feet or body. Next dry your feet or rinse them with water and a MILD soap.

Here are some ideas

STONE THERAPY:
Gather up some dark stones. Flat stones are best beacause they hold the heat for a longer period of time. Its the heat that helps reduse stress and tension...Pick the smoothest rocks and boil them to a very warm comfy temp. place them on any stress points you have (back, neck, feet ect.)
SCALP TREATMENT:
Rub your entire scalp briskly use your knuckles and your finngertips. Grad handfuls of your hair near the roots then gently pull your hair for ten seconds. It works best when wet and you can do this when applys leave in conditioner ect.
GRACEFUL HANDS:
fill a small bowl with warm water a teaspoon of epsome saly if you have any and a few marbles. pLace your hand in the water and roll the marbles around in your hands. This is a great treatment for fingers that type away at the keyboard all day.
Work your musles:
Apply a thin film of bath iol over your shoulders and neck and drape a towl over your shoulders let the towls heat allow the oil to penetrate and relax your muscles.
Face so soft:
Also apply egg white to your face let it sit for about 3-4min then wash off gently with a washclothe. This makes your skin oil free and extreemly soft!

Hope this helps!
Enjoy your day! May it be a relaxing one!
~sophie~
ps here are some gr8 face masks too!(=
Mash 1/2 banana and add 1 Tbsp. honey and 2 Tbsp. sour cream. Apply to face and let set for about 10 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Two Tbsp. of cornmeal mixed with enough water to make a thick paste makes a great inexpensive facial mask. Gently apply to face and wash off.

In a food processor or blender, combine 1/2 cucumber, 1 Tbsp. yogurt, a few strawberries, and 1 tsp. honey. Apply to face and allow to dry. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Grind 1 Tbsp. almonds into a fine meal in a blender or food processor. Mix almond meal together with 1 Tbsp. honey and 1 egg white. Apply to face and let set for about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

To loosen blackheads, combine equal parts baking soda and water in your hand and rub gently on your skin for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Mash half of an avocado and apply to entire face. Let set for about 20 minutes and then gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Soak 1 cup dried apricots in water until softened. Puree in blender or food processor with 2 Tbsp.s skim milk powder. Apply to face and let set about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Puree 1/2 peeled, sliced cucumber in a blender or food processor and add 1 Tbsp. yogurt. Apply to face and let set about 20 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Crush a handful of strawberries and mix well with 1 tsp. honey. Apply to face and let set for about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Mix 1 1/2 tsp. honey, the juice from 1/2 of a lemon, and 1 small carton plain yogurt. Stir in 1 whipped egg white. Apply to face and let set about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth

Anyone know of a day spa in Plymouth, UK?

Hi I want to take my friend to a day spa - where we can relax all day and pay for extra pamering if we want it. Does anyone know of anywhere? Thanks x

Friends of mine have been to the Elfordleigh Hotel, which is just out of Plymouth, for pampering days.

at-home spa day, how can i cheap-ly pamper myself?

so tomorrow is sunday, a day to relax :) and i am planning on having a little bit of a DIY spa day.
what should i do? hair treatments, etc?
home-made masks and such would be lovely.
i have dry skin, combination face, and somewhat dry hair, and i'm 16. and female haha. i have around 3 hours to do whatever i like!
thanks a bunch everyone!

for your hair avocado works great
egg white mask for the face
sugar (regular or brown) is great for an exfoliating scrub!

What day spa would you recommend in Tulsa, OK?

I am looking for a full service days spa (not a salon), where I can really relax for a few hours. I need massage, facial and a spa pedicure.

Try the new Spa Lux at 91&Memorial. It is a gorgeous spa. They won an award from the Day Spa Magazine for the style. And, you'll probably have the same type of experience like if you are at some ocean resort. It's not a salon. It's a real day spa.
