Relax?????
Alot of us are asking the same question! Where is my refund and how come i haven't gotten it yet? I'm hearing responses saying(RELAX) you'll get it when you get it....Some people have to realize there are some of us that aren't rich and are depending on this $$ for (bills, food, etc.) I know it's rather fustrating to hear the same question over and over. But it's also fustrating to be told your last 2 social's would be 1st in line and your hearing Joe Shmoe with the last 2 digits 99 got his 1st...LET'S ALL LIGHTEN UP
This is the IRS payment schedule but as with the federal refunds every year, it usually comes sooner. These are approximate time frames for direct deposit and the checks to be mailed. If your refund was direct deposited go by the date but check the week before. If you got a refund check, also expect a week before the mailing date. If you got a rapid refund on your federal from a tax service, you will have to wait for the check.
Here is the IRS information.......
Stimulus Payment Schedule for Tax Returns Processed by April 15
Economic stimulus payments will be issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number. For joint filers, the payments will go out based on the person listed first on the return. Payments will be made by either direct deposit or paper check, consistent with how people filed their 2007 tax return.
People who use direct deposit also will be among the first to receive the payments starting April 28. Direct deposits will be made daily and completed by the date listed below:
DIRECT DEPOSIT
Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than:
00 through 20 May 2
21 through 75 May 9
76 through 99 May 16
Paper checks will also go out based on Social Security number. For Social Security numbers ending in 00 through 09, the paper checks will be mailed starting May 9 and will continue through May 16. A similar process will be repeated in the following weeks.
PAPER CHECK
Last two SSN digits: Payments will be mailed no later than:
00 through 09 May 16
10 through 18 May 23
19 through 25
May 30
26 through 38 June 6
39 through 51 June 13
52 through 63 June 20
64 through 75 June 27
76 through 87 July 4
88 through 99 July 11
People who file a return after April 15 will receive their economic stimulus payment, but probably about two weeks later than the schedule shows. A return must be filed by October 15 in order to receive a stimulus payment this year. See the online calculator for an estimate of the amount you will receive.
A small percentage of tax returns will require additional time to process and to compute a stimulus payment amount. For these returns, stimulus payments may not be issued in accordance with the schedule above, even if the tax return was processed by April 15.

How to relax while singing, sometimes my body is as stiff as a rock?
Sometimes my body (neck and shoulders mostly) get so tense while I'm singing that it hurts! I try to move my neck around and it pops a lot then I continue but my voicebox moves so high up my throat that my jaw hurts. Then my jaw gets tired. What can I do to make myself relax? Any suggestions?
im in a chior...we stretch our bodies, do some singin drills or wateva u call them...u should do those..it helps...
I also have that problem...somhow these are some tips:
YOu can bend your body/trunk when singing/your waist but never move ur neck too much (looking up for high notes) as this puts MUCH more pressure to your vocal chords.
when bending knees...I dunno it usually helps me get notes higher:D
edit:
instead of moving ur neck or face or whatever for high notes,
u can raise ur eyebrows or lift ur hands up..hehe
I also find that when I'm closing my eyes when singing I can concentrate more and i sound better (must be because I can cocentrate on my voice, no visual distractions etc)

How to start relax your hair enough to keep your natural curls?
I am multiculturaI so have naturally curly hair that is I guess you called it medium textured, It has been relaxed straight all my life.I use Regular Just for Me Relaxer. I now in order to have my natural curls I have to cut the relaxed hair. What happens if I relax my new growth long enough to loosen my curls. Can I do that. I am willing to hear other suggestions.
What you want is a texturizer. It's like a relaxer but it just loosens your natural curl pattern. I'd suggest you go to a salon that specializes in curly hair to get it done. People who don't have experience doing this might mistakenly relax the curls until its bone straight or not enough.
You should note one thing though - a texturizer will only work to make the your new natural growth curly and not the hair you've relaxed. Unless you want two different textures in your hair at once (the top texturized curly and the ends relaxed straight) you'll have to do one of two things:
A) either chopping the relaxed part of your hair off and working on texturizing the new natural growth for a short curly style
OR
B) retain your length by keeping the relaxed hair and apply the texturizer to only the new growth only. afterward you'll have to curl your relaxed hair to have it match your new growth. you can do that by having it styled in a strawset or twist out.
I've included some links on the subject below.
Good Luck :D
How do you relax curly hair without a permenent affect?
I have really curly hair and I want to relax it without having a salon chemical treatment! Are there any shampoos, creams, or products that will gently relax my curls without permently damaging them? I also try not to use heat products to keep the hair healthier so a product that is not heat activated would be best.
I love thoes loose curl hair styles (you know the bohemian style), but my curls are just a little too tight. Thank you for all your help.
I have extremely curly hair too. I use Pantene Shampoo and conditioner - in separate bottles, not the 2 in 1 - the "Smooth and Sleek" kind. I then use Pantene Curl smoothing Moose on wet hair. My hair drys with very sleek and smooth curls. They aren't at all crunchy or frizzy.
Hope this helps!
This excerpt is from the manufacturer:
"This product is truly magical. This aromatic lotion (hints of Kiwi fruit linger in the air) is so powerful it will straighten, texturize, detangle, add volume, fight frizz and protect hair from heat styling. Each ingredient has been specifically chosen to smooth and straighten hair without stripping natural oils, yet lets you create a salon-quality look at home."

Ways to relax when playing a clarinet in front of them?
I've been playing the clarinet for about 4 years. The past week he's been making us play one on one (something i hate) tomorrow we have ANOTHER chair test. (arrg) And i can play the music just fine but in front of people i freeze and mess up. My fingers slip and everything else that can go wrong does. What are some ways to relax and not freak when it's your time to play.
Some ideas:
Eat a banana about an hour before (and brush your teeth before you play!). Bananas are reported to contain enzymes which can relax and help calm you. FYI, the tooth brushing won't help the relaxation, but it'll keep your clarinet in better overall shape.
Concentrate only on playing. Only let your mind think about each note as you're playing it and what you need to do to go to the next note.
Remember that your band director does not want you to play poorly! S/he is on your side. Band directors should not "play favorites" but should evaluate the playing only. They don't want you to mess up!
squeak....squeak...lol, i speak from experience.
Last year I had to play a solo in front of the whole band and I messed up every single time that I played it. But in the end it wasn't that bad because most people weren't paying attention and those who did didn't really care...
:) But when one is auditioning for section leader or something like that [shudders] that's probably the worst ever.
Good luck, after four years of clarinet, have confidence that you have the skills to play the instrument well. As long as you display confidence in your skills, (and you practice), the notes should naturally come to you. And remember, it's very common to be nervous. Most people are, save for the really cocky ones...[shakes fist at them]
How do you relax if you only have 20minutes to?
I have a hective lifstyle and have decided to dedicate at last 20 minutes a day to totally relax. I need ideas for the ideal relaxation.
20 minutes? You'll just have to Go For It. Find a comfortable chair or couch that you can rest your entire body on, set your timer for 20 minutes and MAKE YOURSELF become as limp as a ragdoll. Close your eyes and dont think, except to imagine the scent and image of a rose, a beach to hear the waves. Choose your image before you lay down and use all your senses in your image. Thats it.
Ragdoll body, Imagination at work, reassurance of timer going off, precluding sleep.
It works for me. Good Luck.
Many Counsellors recommend Relaxtion for people with high stress levels and hectic lifestyles.
And it works too, you feel totaly relaxed and refreshed
Like a form of meditation.
See if you can find out about it on the net, a magician taught me lol!
I used to get the benefits of a full nights sleep in just 45 minutes!
Can't do it for long but gets you through the times when you go to sleep and mind won't let you.
Personally, if I am working from home, I do one of two things:
1 a nice and gentle hatha yoga session: stretch and breathe. Really relaxes you
2 If I am too tired, I just take a little nap. I have trained myself to take 15, 30 60 minute naps.
If I am at the office, then I will take a novel I am reading and go have a coffee/ice cream alone. Talk to no one, and for that period of time travel into my novel.
If I am too tired to read, I just have ice cream and coffee :)
Another good one, and this might sound a bit girly but just having a lie down in a dark room maybe with candles and soft music could bring you right down.
Long soaks in the bath work miracles but i reckon you need more than 20 mins to get the full benefit.
If you cant find a quiet room Bachs rescue remedy is good as is origins peace of mind.just rub a little of the latter onto your pulse points and prepare to drift and float away for 20 minutes!.x
Buy some relaxing music or learn to meditate. Lie back and concentrate on clearing your mind. Tense each part of your body - toes, feet, legs etc. and then relax them all.
Try not to think of anything serious.
And probably best to set an alarm clock incase you fall asleep!
What are some ways to just relax and stop worrying?
Lately I've been really stressed out and worrying about a lot of things, usually little things that don't matter and turn out to be fine. I've been having a hard time relaxing and I'm constantly feeling restless.
What are some ways to take my mind off of stuff and relax?
2 or 3 shotsa hooch otta do it.
2. Find a quiet place when you are feeling overwhelmed.
3. Close your eyes and picture your own personal paradise.
4. Breathe. Inhale deeply, count to five, then exhale slowly, counting to five. Do this ten times.
5. Relax in bed. Take a bath, play soft music, and lay down in bed. Read a book and clear your mind of all the stress and rush of the day.
6. Avoid people who are constantly angry or complain. Stress can be "contagious," so avoid transmitters.
7. Exercise every day. You don't need to work out like a body builder or celebrity. At least twenty minutes of moderate activity, like walking or bike-riding, is the best known, scientifically proven way to significantly reduce stress.
8. Prioritize; make a list of tasks you must accomplish that day. Put the most important things at the top and list every task in descending order of importance. Learn to be proactive and take care of things before they become a problem, then your time will be more productive and you will feel less stress.
9. Curl up on your couch with a blanket, and a good book, maybe even a cup of tea or cocoa.
10. Do yoga; it relaxes your body, and helps clear your mind.
11. Go to your local spa for a great massage.
12. Lay on your bed or sofa, have some soft music playing in the background (or nature CDs) and listen to ocean waves, waterfalls, or birds.
13. Go for a walk. If you live near a park with a fountain, or near a beach or lake, the calming sound of water will soothe you. Just a regular walk will also relax you.
14. Swim. Either at your local pool, a friend or relatives home, or in a lake. Swimming is great for reducing stress.
15. Do the activities or hobbies that relax you (fishing, sewing, singing, painting, taking photographs), whatever it is that keeps your mind off the things that normally stress you out, or things that you just need a break from every now and then.
16. Spend time with your pet. Talk to your pet about all the stress and anxiety you've been going through and you'll feel a lot better. Or just cuddle or play with your pet. They'll love it and so will you.
17. Think positively.
18. Practice meditation. Try to remove all thoughts and emotions other than your controlled breathing from your mind. It's really difficult; some Buddhist monks practice it their whole life! However, it can be very rewarding.
19. Read a book or an article that makes you think. Whatever inspires your thoughts to a positive useful life seems to add new energy.
20. Smile and laugh. They say laughter is the best medicine. This is quite true. Go rent, buy, or see a hilarious movie. That is guaranteed to help.
21. Work! Although this may sound counteractive to your goal, procrastination never truly feels as good as having no work to do. So get it done now, and then you can relax even
I know this is kind of long but i still hope i helped =) and good luck!
Read, I read all the time when I am stressed, yoga is great too. You don't have to be spiritual to meditate.
Keeping and watching them is one of the most relaxing things you can do.
http://www.relax-yourself.co.uk/index.aspx
Worrying about things is normal human nature but if they interfere with your daily life, then you might want to talk to your doctor or a psychologist about it. Best of luck to you and just try to relax and enjoy life.
you might feel like you have no time for excercising, but just making that 30 minute a day commitment REALLY helps. and as for eating healthy, the first little bit is hard but once you start you feel so good that you never want to stop, and it becomes easy.
also simply taking time to relax or talk to friends or family about things that are stressing you out, or simply hanging out for fun, will help you.
I really hope you feel better.
All the best.
How long should I wait to relax my hair after taking out braids?
Just took out my braids and thinking about relaxing my hair. How long should I wait? I was taught to not relax your hair right after taking your braids out? Have you heard of this? Why do we practice this? I never knew the reason behind it.
I know you're probably really anxious to go ahead and relax your hair right now, but it really is best to give it some time after having had it braided. From my past experience, when I used to relax my hair, the only time a relaxer burned me was when I went the day after taking out my braids. I had meant to go to the stylist just for a wash, deep conditioner and a press of my new growth, but then decided to relax it. I really had no idea that it was WRONG to relax hair right after braids. Apparently, neither did my stylist. It hurt, I coudn't take it so I got up and told her that I needed it rinsed out right away. It scared me. The end result was a painful relaxer application or attempted applicaton, a relaxer that didn't take, too much new growth for me to handle with the two completely different textures left on my head and therefore lots of breakage. I didn't know how to take care that. That was before the hair boards and lots of information online I came across in the last couple of years regarding how to best care for both relaxed and natural hair (some links below)
The reason I felt like my head was on fire for the first time since I had started relaxing my hair was because my scalp was so sensitive from having been in the braids for two or two and a half months. Had I known, or even had an inkling that this would happen, I would have happily waited at least two weeks. You should do the same. In the meantime, keep your hair conditioned and moisturized.

What kind of drink can help me relax and lose my inhibitions in bed?
I have a lot of anxiety about everything - called generalized anxiety disorder. I've been going to different counsellors for years for help and take anti-anxiety medication (that is okay to use with alcohol in moderation). Neither of them work. I'm still very nervous in bed, and just relaxing, going with the flow, and enjoying it is extremely difficult for me.
Can anyone suggest a good drink to relax me and loosen me up a little? I tried 1 -2 wine coolers and that helps a little bit, but not much. I need something a little stronger. Please help because I have a high sex-drive, wanting it so badly, but I have trouble letting go of my inhibitions.
Gin & Tonic
Mojito
Whiskey Sour
Vodka & Cranberry
Rum & Coke
Jagermeister & Red Bull (or vodka & red bull works too)
just try each of them (on seperate occassions) and pick your favorite
