Her favorite stores are VS Pink, Hollister, Aeropostale, etc.
She also loves walking around the spa accessories isle in Target.

Money, shop gift cards, bath beads, bath salts, bath oils, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, nail polish, nail brushes, etc.

What are good trade organizations that a marketing and creative services agency should belong to?

We work with retailers and luxury/prestige clients in beauty/spa, fashion/accessories, home/interiors, travel and hospitality, and real estate.

As always, the answer to a question like this depends on what you want to accomplish. Generally, the purpose of networking is to get prospects.

If that's what you're hoping to do, go to events/places that either have prospects or else have centers of influence on your prospects. For example, you may wish to consider travel associations, health & beauty associations, etc.

For programming built around big brands, check out the American Marketing Association. If you're targeting smaller businesses, you'll still get good info from AMA, but you may not find the relationships you're seeking to move your company forward.

The AIGA (American Institute for Graphic Arts) at the national level also targets large agencies and big brands, but the local chapters have terrific activities where you can meet good people you can work with on smaller projects.

Don't forget to have your own value proposition and 30 second elevator speech figured out before you venture into the networking world!

The business has been open 18 months and why it has such great potential is that the building is on a lease to buy option from another angel with a current upside of over $150,000+ He even applies 9% of lease payments to the agreed upon sale price! A great line of spas with a huge territory, so growth there. Business runs with a staff of one right now as the service and delivery work is subbed out. Interent sales of parts, accessories taking off, billiard and some pool sales finish the package. I am looking for a partner or someone to sell it to and brokers are expensive and can take a year to produce results. Business is located DIRECTLY in front of the area's biggest competitor so the traffic flow is good and we don't need to advertize much as they do a ton. Needs a dedicated a strong salesperson and some cash to change signage and spruce up exisiting parking lot.

Why won't my new iPod nano charge on my iSound Spa Docking Station? ?

Just got the new iPod nano and when i put it on the docking station it says that "the iPod accessory will not charge the iPod", yet i can still listen to music on my dock. I just can't charge it. How can i fix this problem?

Yeah, my new nano worked with my dock but wouldn't charge, same as my car charger. It's not a problem with your equipment, it's Apple.

Planned obsolescence is how Apple and Microsoft ensure the revenue stream.

Apple wants you to buy a new charger and that's pretty much what you have to do. My advice is to make sure you get one that has a wall unit and a car unit. It costs less to buy the package than to buy them individually.

I am doing my room in a Spa/ japanese Type style and I was wandering what would be some cool accessories to put in it. I know like big urns with pebbles and stuff, but I mean Like what are some cute accessories.... not so much like pillows or blankets or any of that... like wall hanging ideas or plants or things like that. Thanks sooooo much!!!!

What fabric/color should I use with which to upholster my sofa? What kind of coffee table should I buy? I would like the mood to be as a spa on Park Ave. with vintage elements, although this is my apartment.

Ballard Designs and Brocade have catalogs with lots of products that would work and really cute ideas. (They have websites, as well.) Overstock.com often has some unique pieces, as well. All of these sites have furniture (sofas, tables, etc) as well as accessories. Macy's has some great tables and sofa options - even to use as an idea to take to a local furniture store.

If you want to add 'color' you can always introduce sage green, wine or red to the mix. They'll all go well with the black & white, too.

A simple black sofa would be a nice base - then you can add pillows/throws in colors to accent. There are also some unique patterns - black & white scroll or fleur de lis print, or small diamond print. A jaquard fabric is nice, too (where you have a, for example, black on black print, or white on white). Even a small diamond quilted look can be sleek and sophisticated - just have to go out looking and see what's in your price range and what you can get in a fabric you like. If you have pets, you'll want something that doesn't hold the pet hair, too.

As far as tables go, it really depends on your space. It may be beneficial to find a table that offers you additional storage (think a cube table that the tops open for storage and they separate for additional seating; or a large ottoman that opens for storage and coordinates with your sofa, it can also be used for seating). Or forego a coffee table and do some unique end tables, even....keep a nice open/spacious look.

What roles do dogs play in the hollywood scene? Are they treated right by celeberties?

Is it right for celebrities to pamper dogs by taking them to spas or provide expensive treatments? Is it right to use them as a fashion accessories and be shown in the red carpet? Can that cause the dog to lose control or have psychological problems? How should dogs really be treated?

I don't think doggy spas really do any harm.

As far as lugging the dogs around in their purses and such....well, I think it's weird and just a bit sad. As to whether or not it will make the dog have psychological problems, that's probably dependent on the dog itself. I don't think it would make an otherwise healthy dog insane, but a dog with existing problems could be made worse by that kind of thing.

I really think dogs should be treated like dogs. They don't understand being pampered because....well, they're dogs. But I can't complain....at least celebrities are caring for their pets. They're well fed, housed, and loved. I think it's more important to worry about and be angry at those who mistreat their animals in the worst ways; starvation, inadequate shelter, physical abuse, and abandonment.

I want to sell name brand and high fashion clothing, handbags and accessories, mostly name brand. I will even be willing to put local designer's creations in my store.

I want to have a small intimate, but good quality spa to feature: nails, facials, massages, and nice hair extensions...

I need to know where I can get REAL (ligit, no scams!) wholesale name brand clothing, hand bags, shoes, and accessories.
And also wholesale salon supplies. I also want any info on how to get this whole business started and set up!
Any help you can give is soooooo appreciated.
oh and how do I get catalogs from companies to let me buy from them wholesale, or to let customers order from them wholesale.

There are great resources for you to get your questions answered regarding your business venture. Search for a community of business women online that can help you get your business plan together. You can possibly luck upon ideals and wholesale product distributors in your quest.

Check websites like SBA (small business association) as well as the BBB (better business bureau). I don't know what state you are in but in Michigan there is a women's business community that offers assistant to women desiring to start or have started their business. And you would be privvy to one on one contact with those who are in the same business as you. That site is www.miceed.org or www.miwomen.com .
