When should you save money on a hotel room? Chicago Parent
Lodging is one of the biggest expenses of travel. Find a way to save money on that and suddenly a family vacation can become affordable.
But how do you know when it's OK to go cheap? Here are a few times when there's no point in spending a lot on lodging and a recommendation on how to know it's not too cheap:
1. You won't be there long.
This is best for those long road trips. You just need a (reasonably) comfortable bed and a shower. If you're traveling with kids who have been cooped up in car seats for hours, you need one more thing: a pool. They have to work out the kinks and they deserve a treat. So don't scrimp so much that there's no pool. Tip: Always check to be sure the pool is operating and open the hours you will need it. My kids had meltdowns the time we checked into a hotel only to find out the pool was closed for repairs.
2. The lower-priced hotels offer lots of freebies.
Unlike business-rate hotels that might have nicer lobbies and higher-thread-count sheets, budget hotels such as Super 8 and Hampton Inns offer something more important to families on a budget: free wifi and free breakfast. Kids are hungry when they get up. They don't necessarily want to wait for breakfast while you shower, pack, check out and find a restaurant. Take them downstairs (in the jammies if necessary), let them fill up on cereal or make a waffle while you suck down that first, all-important cup of coffee. Then head back to the room to shower, pack and check out. Tip: If you'll be staying in a hotel for only one night on your way to your final destination, pack an overnight bag with just the supplies you need for the night--pajamas, underwear, toothbrushes, swimsuits, etc. That way you won't have to unpack the entire trunk each night.

jurys inn is right next to the train station i went there a couple of months ago it is a very nice hotel good price to if its a weekend the rooms are about 55 pounds a night per room
the kings hotel would be in the perfect location to you and your friend as west street where all the night clubs are is 2 mins walk away and the town center is 5 mins away....the hotel is also on the sea front.

I have bookings thru Take a Break and Stayz for weekends but I know there is a market for the corporate traveller during the week. Hotel charges $250.00, I will only charge $150.00 per night. or $1000 for a week. This is in the heart of the city. How do I market this ?

I had 2 cheap spa services at Excalibur and Luxor.
I prefer Luxor as a hotel and their spa (Oasis Spa) because the spa itself has room, the women's spa is laid out great, and the staff went out of their way to make me and friends happy.
You can get spa package prices on Luxor's or Excalibur's site.
In regards to booking spa services I suggest you wait until you arrive in Vegas to do so otherwise they usually send you through the general reservation line to book anything. I dislike this because these people on the general reservation line have more experience booking rooms then telling you what facial is better. :)
I guess I'm just trying to say to check with your hotel...they may have services available. Also schools offer treatments at discounted rates.

You have to be more specific with your requirements: when are you planning to go, what do you need, etc.. Most 4 to 5 star hotels have pools with them, so that won't be a problem.

Cheap spa party ideas?
I'm throwing a party for my 3 friends. We're staying at a hotel, and I'm going to give them a spa day.
Any help on some cool cheap or homemade stuff I can do or make to make the event fun?
And how about healthy snacks?
Watercrest sandwiches. Cucumber sandwiches. Flavored vitamin waters. Melons and fruits. Lots of high water high vitamin things llike fruits and veggies. Maybe make a game of it and match each person to a peticular fruit than make each a plate featuring that fruit and mix and match etc. Green tea. Let it steep atleast 3minuts though for best effect. lol this is all off the top of my head and I have no idea really but hoipe it helps :)
*maybe even find out what types of fruit extracts/oils the spas use and work off that for your pallette. Grapefruit and Pineapple are great too for eating and smelling.

Carden park hall in cheshire, also home to the england football team, very reasonible rates. I'm off there next weekend for a pamper while the other half plays golf. Chester is a great shopping centre too, nice little shops xx hope this helps. try this link xx
