Hot Tubs Minneapolis – Hot Tubs Spa Minneapolis, Dealer Supports Energy ... PR Web (press release)

Minneapolis, Mn (PRWEB) October 20, 2011

Hot Spring Spas Minneapolis, a new and used hot tub dealer with stores in Lake Elmo and Minnetonka, MN and Clive, Carroll and Arnolds Park in Iowa is supporting Energy Awareness Month by providing free hot tub spa test soaks in all their energy efficient Hot Spring Spas.

“Each year, the United States Department of Energy designates October as Energy Awareness Month. The 2011 Energy Awareness Month theme is Turn Words into Action; Turn Action into Results,” said Thad Schaben, vice president of HotSpring Spas of Iowa and Minnesota. “Many people don’t realize how easy it can be to cut your utility bills at home. In order to help, here are 5 things you can do to conserve energy at home.”

1 - Don't Be Blown Away - Drafts and poor insulation mean that cool air rushes in during the winter months, and rushes out during the summer. To take care of your windows in cold months, think about covering the inside of your window frames with a clear plastic film to keep the air out. Keep drapes and curtains open during the day and not at night. In the warm summer months, do just the opposite. Keep windows open at night and close them during the heat of the day.

How important is the ozonator in a spa?

It looks like I need to replace the ozonator in my spa. The dealer says that if I don't buy a new insert the sun and moon night align and baby puppies will die. What is the danger in not replacing the ozonator?

Ozone Spa Pool Water Ozonator
Ultra violet ozone generator machine, spa pool water ozonator, industrial, domestic home swimming applications. Powerful high concentration air units capable eliminate swimming pool, spa water contaminates like bacteria, virus, cysts.

Ozone generator makes home swimming pool spa drinking water pure, clean. Natures most powerful natural oxidizer, purifier, sanitizer. Destroys algae, bacteria, mold, viruses, prolongs equipment life.

Reduce pool water treatment chemicals 90 percent used while neutralizing harsh irritating pool chemicals byproducts. Clean, Pure, Safe, Simple, Effective, No Harmful Health Byproducts.

Ozone Applications Information
Still using cancer causing chlorine in your pool? Read this because it may save you more than time, money and chemicals. It may save YOUR LIFE.

Solution: Using ozone generators to sanitize swimming pools and spa is more effective than chlorine for oxidizing organics, bacteria, cysts, spores, or viruses. Water ozonators are non-irritating to skin and hair and the by-products of the oxidation process have no adverse health or environmental effects.

The Ozone Joes ultra violet water ozonator's are fantastic in all respects of aesthetics, low maintenance, quality, simplicity and better performance in dry or humid environments.

The use of ozone as opposed to chlorine in swimming pools and spa is gaining popularity worldwide. Unfortunately, the high cost of ozone generators in the past has impeded its growth into the market. Why spend all that money on chemicals when they have bad effects on your health that causes cancer and dry skin. Chloramine is produced in water when chlorine is used swimming pools and spa and by using less chlorine there are less amounts.

Everyone needs to promote better health instead of destroying it. There are no advantages when using chemicals only but there is greater advantage when you use the water ozonator machine. The bacterial kill rate is 3,125 time faster than chlorine and it is 50 percent stronger oxidizer than chlorine. It is 25 times more efficient than Hypochlorous acid, 2,500 times more effective than Hypochlorite and 5,000 times more effective than Chloramine.

These ultra violet ozone generators helps swimming pools and spa drinking water pure, clear sparkling crystal clean water. It is one of natures most powerful oxidizers and purifier. It destroys bacteria on contact and prolongs and protects equipment life. It reduces the need for chemicals from 70 to 90 percent, while neutralizing harsh irritating by-products of all pool chemicals. Safe, Simple, Effective and No Harmful By-products!

Quickly and thoroughly rids swimming pools and spa of contaminants, reduces the need for chemicals, stops skin/eye irritation and eliminates pool rings. Some of the systems manufactured for home pools are not that expensive, and can be adapted for other uses around the home. Installing this equipment in public pools is more expensive because of state laws that discourage most from using it but the benefits of healthier water; maintenance, time and money far exceed its original cost.

Ozone is used chiefly in applications for water systems, it will attach and destroy, by oxidation, any offending molecule that gets in its path. It rapidly decomposes leaving no traces, and does not produce any toxic compounds. Makes your swimming pools and spa water smell, feel and taste like rainwater and it is safer for the environment. Being less corrosive in water than chlorine, it is less damaging to equipment with scale buildup in the heater and lines.

Unsurpassed in domestic swimming pools and spa for control of common bacteria such as E. coli and Fecal Coliform as well as deactivation of algae, virus and cysts. Chlorine can take hours to penetrate the cell wall of bacteria or virus, while o3 oxidation occurs within seconds. Unlike chlorine, ozonation does not produce any bad by-products and is non-carcinogenic. Chlorine can be blamed for hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide yet there is no evidence of any deaths to humans of over exposure to this natural element.

Ozonation reduces levels of harsh chemicals such as chlorine because its the stronger oxidizer and there is no unpleasant chemical taste or obnoxious smell. Ozone dissolved in water will not burn your nose, irritate your skin, ears, dry out your skin or leave chemical films. Chlorine and other chemicals used for water treatment have negative effects on the environment. By reducing chlorine consumption to the minimum, you could save hundreds of dollars yearly.

The ultra violet water ozonator machine will oxidize many inorganic and organic impurities as well as inactivate bacteria, virus and cysts. It oxidizes iron, manganese, heavy metals, sulfide and nitrite types into insoluble types, which can then be removed by filtration. Good filtration is important in removal of high levels of oxidized minerals. It also functions as an cla

That is a part that keeps all the goonies out of the water, it cleans the water when the spa is off. the water cycles thru this all the time, If it goes out you and your spa will turn green..... algae BAD for pumps

An ozonator is used to kill bacteria. If it isn't working, you'll be using a whole lot of chlorine and testing constantly.

anyone have any tips on getting a neglected hot tub back in working condition?

we just bought a house that had a neglected hot tub on site. the water was filthy & ants took up residence. we've drained it, and cleaned it (pressure washer). what else do we need to do? do we need to get a hot tub place to come out & clean the pump & lines (it hadn't been run dirty)? what chemicals do we need & how do we use them? do we go to a hot tub / spa dealer to get answers & other services? or do they not do that?

thanks !!

Check the filters to make sure they don't need to be replaced. Decide on the chemical system you want to use. I use Bacqua Spa in mine because of skin conditions, but there are chlorine and bromide chemicals that you can use, too. Fill the spa and test the water which will tell you what the water needs. Capture a sample of the water and take it to the spa dealer who will assit you in purchasing the correct combination of chemicals. Each spa manufacturer makes their spas different, on ours we add the chemicals, allow it to circulate through the system for a certain length of time to clean the jets and feeds before we can use it. Ask the spa dealer to help you determine the model of spa that you have. Most of the time you can download a manual which is an absolute "must have" for trouble shooting, maintenance and care of your spa.

visit a hot tub store get info then call a service man watch what he does and then you can maintain yourself

Number 1 thing, make sure it has a dedicated, GFI outlet it is
plugging into.

There are two main chemicals for sanitizing and keeping a hot tub clean. Since it's been sitting, the pipes, pump and filter are probably pretty nasty. I would fill it up with water, add either Chlorine or Bromine. Check with a test kit until you get a good residual then start the pump and let it run for an hour or so to circulate the sanitizer through all the equipment. Then drain it and start over with clean water. There are a lot of other things to learn about keeping it clean and free of bacteria and algae. You can look into that after you get it initially cleaned and working properly.

Help! I'm looking for a Jacuzzi pool pump dealer. We can install it, but we can't find a place to buy one?

Holiday weekend chores included opening our inground pool. Yuck! Our pool pump needs to be replaced. WE can install it, but we can't find one! We need a specific Jacuzzi pool pump. I looked up "Jacuzzi" and all I find is Hot tubs and baths. I look up "dealers" and I find every pool (mostly spa) place in Canada. We live in Oshawa, Ont. Does anyone know where we can buy one or at least narrow down my search? Please don't tell me to order it from anywhere. If my husband can't WALK into a store, he won't buy it. If the store must order it that's fine. We don't need any pool repair service just the pump. OK I'm rambling.....thanks in advance.

Jacuzzi is out of business.

Here is a link to compare prices for a pool pump:

Where can I find a new skimmer for my Saratoga spa?

I have an old Saratoga spa. It runs great, but somewhere along the line, the skimmer broke down near the bottom (perhaps before we bought the house) and I can't find the piece that broke off to repair it. Now the skimmer (the plastic molding over the filters) has a hole with a VERY sharp edge. My kids and their friends are always in it and I'm afraid someone will get cut. I've tried just about every spa parts website there is and can't find a replacement that's the same shape. Also, Saratoga's website is useless. None of the dealers in my area were any help--none of them sell that brand. Any ideas???

on my links page, there is a link for pool/spa parts, they may help you find it: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com/links.html

Easy Caldera Spa Repair? Electrical?

Need Hot tub expert's advice and input!
We are looking into getting a free (basically we pick up) spa. Its a 2005 Caldera Spas Hot tub - Cumberland.

The original owner said that the problem with the hot tub is on one of the electrical boards that controls the heat. Our local Hot Springs dealer told them it would be around $1000 to fix. My husband is pretty handy and wouldn't mind taking on this repair. Do you think it would be an easy repair for someone? Do you know if Caldera Spas have the full foam insulation much like Hot Springs? Where is a good online retailer of parts and also have good support for DIY'ers? Any other tips for moving the spa home, the owner has kept water in it and the water moving so it doesn't freeze, they are just done with all the hassle and want it gone.

I'm not very impressed with our local dealership, so would not want to work with them anyway. :)

I looked for a manual on line for one of these tubs, but couldn't find one. I had a pool and spa business for 6 years, and could fix anything, provided I could get the parts.

You should try to contact Caldera, so you can get the part from them. But you need to know what is exactly wrong with it. So you're husband will need to trace back from the heater to determine the problem.

You might try these guys also.

How much does it cost to heat a spa?

We just bought a house.. came with a Hot Spring spa (Envoy model). We just got our first electric bill in this new house $375! for one month.. mostly electricity (1,400 KWh usage!). The house is larger that our old house, but pretty much everything else is the same. We have a second refrigerator in the garage, but had that before. About the only things different are the hot tub and the greater greater square footage. I expected the bill to be higher than in our old place, but I did not expect it to triple! I even had turned the spa to "summer mode" were is shuts off for 8 hours a day and we only keep it set at 80 during the week when we don't use it. The Hot Spring dealer claims we should be able to keep it set at 104 24/7 and it should only add about 30/ month to our bill. Can anybody out there that put in an hot tub tell me how much their electricity bills increased?

They do use quite a bit of electricity. Some that I know who have them say their bills are high when left on and that's with a thermal cover over the top. Depending on what power the element you might try and see how long it takes to heat from cold and if you tend to use it later then turn it on. A solar panel could cut back on the time it takes to heat too.
I'm sure most who already have a spa tend to be a little lean on how much power they use and have never really done the test to be exact.

Cal Spas Indianapolis good price?

We are set on purchasing a Cal Spas A857B hot tub. The Watson's dealer in Indianapolis lowered his price from $7,999 to $7,000. I'd like to know if this is a good deal, as it has been very tough to compare prices with hot tubs.

If you are from the area, then you know that Watson's is always having a sale...seams like they have a new commercial every other day.

If you are not from the area...then you should know that Watson's has 1/2 price sales or clearance sales like every month.

I'd call around to different spa stores in the area and see if it really a good deal.

10 points best answer!

Unfortunately, there is really no way to tell how good a deal you have.

A lot of the cost of a hot tub or spa comes from the installation, so you want to make sure that you buy from an authorized dealer. So, I did a search for you, looking for authorized Cal Spa dealers, and, guess what? Watson's is the only one anywhere near Indianapolis. I was going to suggest that you get prices from other dealers, but you obviously can't do that.

In your situation, the only way you can judge the price is to look at other brands of spas. I'd walk in blind, tell them that you are looking at hot tubs (at $7000, you are looking for high-end models), and ask what they can offer. Even if you are set on the Cal Spa, it helps to see what else is being sold. If another brand with more-or-less comparable features and quality is a lot less, then Watson's probably has some negotiating room.

I did something similar recently when we bought a new garage door. The door we liked best was $1800. Home Depot was half that, but their door was not nearly as good. Then we got a bid from another place for an equivalent door at $1500. We went back to the place we liked, and they lowered their price to compete.

That's what you should try. Of course, if the other dealers are all in the same price range, then you are getting a fair price, and you can go ahead and order the Cal Spa with confidence.

I hope this helps. Good luck!!

Local shopping spa dealer may cost you a lot more than you expected

It is nonetheless genuine that jacuzzis are a high-class and never everybody is able to afford the spas. There are additional expenses that come placed on hot tubs throughout New york are related to substances required with the spas.
