How are Royal Spa hot tubs?
I've been to the Royal Spa manufacturer in Indy and they have a Sultan model I'm interested in. Do you know anything about them that I should know about? I'm very interested in their model and would like some insight on the company. A thorough google search did not help much.

What I have found out is most spa's are alike just got different shapes and maybe the type of material that is used to make them.
If you get a good name brand like the one you are looking at you will enjoy it for a very very long time.
You just got to know that there is upkeep to the unit that you have to do and do often more the more you use it.
Look at how good is the material that they use and how thick is it (thicker the better).
What size pump do you need and what size and type heating unit do you need.
Like I say stay with a very good name brand and you will love.
Just know you can go cheap, But you will pay in the long run.
Ask the company about % of returns that they have will give you a good idea if they are good or not.

requirements to place 2,500 pound spa on existing deck in st peters missouri?
Deck is 8 x 17 ft with four 6x6 posts in cement. beams are 2 x6 and spaced 16 inches apart. Spa is 7 ft round and when full of water weighs 2,068 lbs. Manufacturer is Sofina. It is a portable inflatable spa.
2x6 will not be near enough, even at 4" on center.
Closing a vinyl liner in ground pool with "spa stairs"?
I have an inground pool with spa jets built into the stairs.I havent been able to find any way to plug the jets when closing the pool for winter ,so water wont enter the lines.Ive looked everywhere but havent jhad any luck.I know I cant be the only person around with spa jets in the stairs of an inground pool.
Any info would bne helpful.The stairs are sort of fiberglass or resin material and the jets are hard plastic such as what is used on the return jets by Hayward and other manufacturers.There is a threaded section on the jets that lead me to believe that someone makes a plug for them but Ive not been able to locate a manufacturer that even makes such a jet.
Would any of the rubber expansion plugs work? (If it's the fitting I'm thinking of, probably not...)They range from about #11 down to # 0. (The #9 plug is used in 1 1/2" threaded fittings... other sizes fit larger and smaller openings.) Most pool places should carry them, or you can find them online...
Between Jandy and Haywood, who makes the better Spa heater?
We are in the process of completing the installation of our pool and spa. The contract calls for a Haywood spa heater and we have been given a Jandy Heater. Is there a large discrepancy in quality or reputation of each of these manufacturers. We have been given a Jandy LHS Hot Shot Above Ground Pool and Spa Heater; at this time there are no plans to heat the pool.

Where can I find a manual for my spa/hot tub?
We have a used hot tub with no owners manual and LOTS of unmarked buttons. I've searched the web for the manufacturer, which seems to be Seven Seas Spas, and for the model, which is The Aegean, and I'm coming up empty. I've called the National Spa & Pool Institute and all sorts of other stores/experts that I've found on the web.
This company doesn't seem to exist anymore. The only Seven Seas Spas that I can find is a store in PA that just sells hot tubs, they aren't the manufacturer I'm looking for.
Any suggestions?
ok They used Balboa Control systems. If you could send me a digital photo I can tell you what each button is and does. The manual is much harder but general info. can be told with just a photo of your tub.

What to do if my alarm clock LIGHT doesn't work? (ipod dock system)?
I bought a "sound machine" system with ipod dock, alarm clock and clock wall projector etc .
I am absolutely gutted as the backlight for the alarm clock and light for the clock projector do not work.
I have changed the little lithium battery at the back 3 times in case it was that but it's not. Should i open and change something in the inside?What?

Don't tell me to send it back as i've already spent too much money on it. I bought it on Ebay as new from the U.S (i'm in U.K). I waited 3 weeks for the delivery then i've been asked to pay VAT and courrier delivery charges when it arrived to the UK (and an adaptor).

Is there a way to disable the heater in my hot tub (spa) so that the water remains closer to room temperature?
My hot tub has a thermostat control but even at the lowest ("coolest") setting it is just too hot for me. I'd like to be able to shut off the heating mechanism, or turn it far lower than the current low.
Plus, in the summer it is obviously too hot to use at all, and if there was a way to have it not-so-hot that might help. (I'm not talking about making the water cold or even cool, but it would be nice if it were much much cooler.)
I called the manufacturer and didn't get anywhere. I also searched the internet and couldn't find anything like this. If you have any suggestions, I would be grateful. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for your unhelpful, silly, idiotic answer. If you can call it an "answer". There is also a reason they call it a "spa" --- it's supposed to be a relaxing experience. If it's unbearably hot, it's anything but relaxing.

Snowman is correct that you can simply disconnect the wires to the heater and then make sure they are taped until needing to be used again. Hopefully yours is a more modern Balboa or Gecko manufactured pack that have copper leads that will make it much easier. The suggestion that your thermostat might be bad is also a good thing to check, the older ones can be off by a few degrees easily. The bottom degrees for most are 78 degrees. I couldn't imagine wanting to get into that cold of water. What brand of tub is it (model/make/year)??????? Of course turn the power off when opening up your spa's cabinet to do the work.
