Detox and re-tox in legendary Las Vegas: Taking the 'sin' out of 'Sin City ... Daily Mail

Detox
Sahra Spa & Hammam at the Cosmopolitan Hotel

Almost every spa in the world bills itself as an ‘oasis’, but Sahra has more claim to accuracy than most. For starters, you’re in Las Vegas, so by definition you’re in the heart of the desert.

The calming wooden interiors of this haven at the Strip’s hippest new hotel really do feel like a world away from the buzzing neon and rattling fruit machines. The centrepiece is the Sahra Hammam, where you can be steamed and scrubbed to within an inch of detoxification.

The massage programme includes a pan-continental mixture of Turkish, Swedish, Thai and Shiatsu practices that – by the law of averages alone, surely – must be good for you.

More information: www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com

Pool and Lounge, Vdara

This is a new breed of Vegas Hotel. It is non-gaming (so no disorienting flashing lights or constant clanging), non-smoking and eco-friendly, all things which are pretty much an anathema to other properties on the strip.

What is your favorite part of going to a day spa?

I am considering opening a day spa. What is your favorite part of going to a day spa? What things would you like to see at your local spa? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I really enjoy the couples massage with two masseuses. I gave one to my mom for Christmas. We were able to go into a room together, and chat while we were still nervous. As we relaxed, we were able to quit talking, but it was nice knowing that we were in there together. I loved the aroma therapy and hot oils. My mom is real shy and had never had a massage before. She loved it dearly and goes back now on her own. But, it is a great way for two people to spend a day together.

the massage part where i can go to sleep

the massage. or jacuzzi.

Massage and then steam room

Its daiye spa! Earth to Matilda!

Do I have to list my current part time spa job on my resume when I am looking for work in biotech/pharma?

I am looking for work in the biotech industry. I work at a spa doing massage on friday nights and saturdays. Do I have to list this on my resume? Is not lisiting this job a material omission? I really dont want to highlight my massage work on my resume but dont want to lie or do anything that could negativeley impact me getting a biotech job.

If the application asks for all jobs, list it. If it asks for relvent experience, don't bother. Many jobs don't have a specific application and just ask for a resume. Just don't put it on your resume then.

What is a girl's/women's favorite part of a Spa Day.?

What is your favorite part, like a manicure/pedicure, a facial, massages or something else.

A full body massage, with deep conditioning for hair.

I love massage but a facial is the best!!!!!!You feel so good and they also give you a small massage anyway so you get best of both worlds!!!

facial

masages!

Just being able to relax! But a facial is definitely my favorite service because your face is the one portion of your body that people see every day and getting compliments on how radiant your skin looks is always nice.

What are your favorite services to get at a salon or day spa and why? Favorite part of whole visit?

I like the full pamper treatments...massages, facials, pedis/manis, haircut/style, and makeup. I like to leave there feeling like a new person. I like the salons that offer free snacks and beverages. In the winter I like some hot chocolate and a chocolate bon bon or even just tea...in the summer offer water or lemonade and a piece of minty chocolate. Chocolate is always a great thing to have at a salon spa...it gives the women a feeling of ephoria, which will make them want to return. Always have nice soothing music, it doesn't have to be just classical music...easy listening music is wonderful and classics are nice to hear too...if you want to make it a fun spa, have jazzy or big band (swing) music to make it original. I wouldn't keep the top 20 hits on replay. I think having inviting colors and intimate settings are ideal. The best experience is making sure timing is everything...don't leave a women waiting in the massage room if her nail appt. is running late. Take her to a general area when she is ready to leave the room for a beverage and current magazines.

I love getting massages. The therapist plays soothing music and lights candles. I feel like I'm a celebrity almost. I can actually just relax and feel like someone is taking care of me. It's heaven. I always get "stress relief massages", so no deep tissue kneading.

How do I find a day spa willing to wax any part of the male body (looking for more than a Brazilian wax)?

You're looking for whats known as a "back, sac and crack" try google for lists of salons that perform this service

ouch

in a gay part of town...and i'm not being snide and don't care if you are gay or straight...and be ready for a male tech to do it, too...if you can't handle that, you'd better reconsider your desire to be so hairless in such a private area (which btw, i think is gross...like being with a little boy)

I am looking for a Part-time job based at home I live in leamington spa and have three children.?

I would like a job that I can work around my family, are there such jobs available and where do I look for them. I was previously employed as a Residential Senior Sales Negotiator, although I am computer literate and can turn my hand to most things.

I spent a lot of hours researching how to make money at home! Looking for opportunities that didn't cost me money to do. I don't believe in any "get rich quick" or "make $30,000 a month" scams. But I did find a site (I will post the link below) where I found plenty ot tips and tricks on making extra money at home. I would have copied and pasted the information but I don't want to break or violate any copyright laws..Presently I have 3 different ways of making a steady "passive income" (no selling etc) and I spend close to 12 hours a weeks (depending on my free time) doing the suggestion that I am about to give you..
(a)You can sell items on the Internet. (you probably will do better than me do to your background) I started out by selling extra items that I had at home, now I go to yard sales, check out discount bins at my local stores, etc and resell them on the net.
(b) You also can start a blog and or build a website. Again your background will be an asset It take a little time to make money from your blog or website, but if done properly it will pay for itself in the long run
(c) Probably the easiest way to make extra money is by "reading emails". I came across this website that has plenty of free info that help me started making extra money at home. It can be boring but hey it is extra income
Also.. Feel free to email me through "yahoo answers" (just click on my "yahoo name), If you have any questions about my recommendations to make money at home

carpenter ants in wood part of hot tub spa?

Here is an ole fashion cure
Take a shovel of one ant bed and a shovel from another ant bed and mix the two and they are goen for ever.

Get some Ant-B-Gon Dust made by ORTHO. It works like a charm for me.

Maybe they'll build on...

any kind of ant poison is fine.how many have you seen and for how long?if its been awhile you mat have a problem with the wood frame arount the hot tub.if you have easy access to it ,take a look and see if any damage.you would be suprised at how fast they can eat up the wood.good luck

Where can I find a new skimmer for my Saratoga spa?

I have an old Saratoga spa. It runs great, but somewhere along the line, the skimmer broke down near the bottom (perhaps before we bought the house) and I can't find the piece that broke off to repair it. Now the skimmer (the plastic molding over the filters) has a hole with a VERY sharp edge. My kids and their friends are always in it and I'm afraid someone will get cut. I've tried just about every spa parts website there is and can't find a replacement that's the same shape. Also, Saratoga's website is useless. None of the dealers in my area were any help--none of them sell that brand. Any ideas???

on my links page, there is a link for pool/spa parts, they may help you find it: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com/links.html

What spa/resorts are well-known for quality service, accomodations in Palm Springs?

Looking for recommendations and suggestions on the different spas/resorts in Palm Springs. I'll be treating family members to a spa experience as part of my birthday celebration. We'd like to get a day full of services, preferably package deals, that include accomodations. I'd appreciate names/contacts and any advice on treatments that may be particularly unique or worth trying.

Hyatt Grand Champion Resort and Spa at Indian Wells, aaaahhhhh!!!!!!!! Go to their website and look into the Agua Serena Spa information, I can feel that massage and facial just thinking about it. It was wonderful experience.
