I am opening a spa retreat in Bahrain and i am trying to figure out some names for my business. Suggestions ?

I am opening a spa retreat [Ayurveda ] in Bahrain and i was trying to figure out some names for my business. I was thinking about relaxation or beautiful in another language but suggestive of ayurvedic treatments and also exotic and catchy, Any suggestions?

Al Amanah - Safe and Secure
Dilmun - Old name of Bahrain
Al tikha - Trust

Anything that has to do with water or relaxation would be great. Spa actually stands for Sanus Per Aquam...healing by water...You could somehow incorporate that into your name.

what should I name my spa retreat?

I am opening a spa retreat in utah and i was trying to figure out some names for my business. I was thinking about relaxation or beautiful in another language, like french, italian, or even maybe swiss. Any suggestions?

How about "Vista Revital" or Détente Vue (relaxation view)

Heritage or Hermitage
Don't ask me why, they just popped into my head!

Au Naturel Resort and Spa.

How about Shang-ri-la

How about "Original Sins". It'll freak out all the Mormans, unless of course you are a Morman.....

How about Shang-ri-spa.

How can I turn my bedroom into a spa retreat? Please give me tips to make it a relaxing & tranquil atmosphere?

My bedroom has gray-lavender walls, with white ceilings and light hardwood floors. Very simple.

I would really want to turing it into something that looks like a spa room. Something with beautiful (but contemporary/modern) decorations and ultra soft, romantic glowing lights.

Any tips?

coloured fabric pinned to your walls/ ceiling to give it a light breezy look

De-clutter is always a good starting point. Throw out old unused stuff. Take down pictures or posters that don't match your theme...be ruthless. I'm not exactly sure what a spa room looks like but as long as you know your objective then I think these things will help. Good luck.

Your walls are a perfect color as are your floors. They speak to a contemporary look. Choose a rich silver blue fabric for your bedding. Night tables should be simple and elegant or build them into the wall on either side of the bed. Use wall sconces with up/down lighting on either side as opposed to table lamps. If you can wire your ceiling hang a classy chandelier on dimmers. Use silk floor to ceiling drapes at your windows. If your bedroom is large enough, add an ottoman in a rich lustrous fabric....something soft. Add a soft furlike throw to the bottom of the bed. A wonderful chair/lounger in a soft fabric would be a great addition if you have room. Accessories should be simple. A few tall floor vases with reeds, pick up additional colors by adding simple contemporary artwork, and keep your dressers clean and simple. Comfort and spa is defined by clean lines and mute colors. It doesn't mean you can't have a piece of artwork that adds a burst of color. It's more about clean soft comfy fabrics and colors.

welll trough out junk from your bedroom first. The painting of buddha will work wonder.

Where to go for a spa retreat in Washington DC or Nothern VA?

Tired moms need a night away from the kids. We're looking for a nice hotel with a spa. (Might consider a nice day spa if a hotel is very close). We're willing to go anywhere within 2 hours of DC. Any suggestions?

Berkeley Springs, WV has many spas catering to the needs of mothers who need time away from kids. Beautiful town - less than 2 hours away from DC metro area. I should have stopped at a spa like the Five Senses Spa when I passed through there back in 2005.

Turf Valley Resort and Spa is about 40 minutes from D.C. I've also heard Villa Bella Vista Inn is amazing and they have a ladies' night package. It's not really a spa though.

Check out spafinder.com

I've used it when looking for a spa in NOVA -- will use it again.

The Capitol Hilton is a great hotel with a spa.

If you're going to do a day thing - Andre Chreky's is fantastic.

They're both on K Street, NW

Villa Bella Vista Inn is actually NOT a Spa but a bed and breakfast. you can go to the current website:

http://www.villabellavistainn.com or the new one at

The price is kinda spendy

Has anybody been to the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Holistic Retreat and Spa?

Has anybody been to the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Holistic Retreat and Spa in Los Cabos?

Hola. I haven't stayed at it, but I've been through many times, as well as taken lots of treatments. It is a beautiful resort and the spa treatments are fantastic. I especially like the ones right on the beach. The feedback I get from many clients is it is peaceful and quiet. That in itself gets big marks because most of the resorts are party central

Is AIG getting a second bail out to fund another executive spa retreat?

They aren't that dumb. I expect this time they'll have to pay for it themselves with the bonuses that they are giving each other. Honestly, dont you think they deserve huge bonuses - can you think of any other set of people who are this incompetent in the line of business they are in, and yet can get any amount of money they want with not even a whimper from either the Demos or the Reps.

Think of it - a thousand bucks from every single family in the US just for being terrible businessmen - no questions asked -clearly they deserve another retreat. I

Would you go to hawaiin retreat day spa or massage envy?

i live in houston,tx and i would go to a spa everyday.

I had a bad experience at a Massage Envy. The therapist seemed arrogant and abrasive. He used an excessive amount of oil during the massage and injured my foot. There are some good therapists that work at Massage Envy franchises. If you do try Massage Envy I hope you have a better experience.

Who is paying for the annual retreat to the Kingsmill Resort & Spa?

Obama, speaking to about 200 House Democrats at their annual retreat at the Kingsmill Resort and Spa, dismissed Republican attacks against the massive spending in the stimulus. Plus their families! Nice place to vacation!
Taxpayers fund transportation and other costs for the Democrats’ annual “issues conference.” Last year, the Democratic Caucus paid Amtrak nearly $70,000 for the slow train members took down to Kingsmill, according to quarterly office reports. The office paid similar amounts for travel in 2007 and 2006. Other costs from last year’s retreat include $5,716 for an official photographer and $40,650 for telephones and Internet, according to the same records.

Members are encouraged to bring their families every year in an effort to get lawmakers get better acquainted. One hundred eleven spouses made the trip to the Republicans’ retreat this year. Family members can participate in the sessions or enjoy a vast menu of other activities which included skiing and sledding at last week’s GOP retreat.

We want to go on a great spa retreat in New England?

Over Valentine's Day. Canyon Ranch is out of our price range. Thanks!

If Canyon Ranch is out of range, try the Cranwell or Kripalu. Some of the B&Bs have their own private spa massagers, also.

what would be some good ideas for a spa retreat at home for my moms b-day??

i want it to be a sort of mother-daughter spa gateway at home for her 40th.

without knowing where you live it's hard to recommend...but there is a great company called SPA ESCAPE and one of their consultants will come to your home and give you a facial. It's great!
