how come the jets in my sundance spa won't work?

I have a sundance 680 hot tub and the power comes on, but I have no idea if the heater works.

Also, when I push the buttons for the jets and air flow nothing happens. The lights come on but nothing else happens. The spa is about 6 years old. Any ideas?

You need to check the power cord to the circuit board from your pumps and verify if they are getting the correct voltage/amps. If the electricty is indeed going to the pump then check it's capacitor that starts it. Most likely this is the problem. IF not then 1st get a new topside control, then a new circuit board. CALL your Sundance Service rep!

I have a Maxxus Sundance Spa that is just over one year old (the warranty is void b/c I bought it from the previous owner who owned the house I purchased). Recently, the lights inside the Spa quite working. I don't think the lights burned out b/c there is more than one light and none of them work. There are lights under the water and lights near the water fall, neither work now. They have been working fine since I've had the Spa (which is a year) but last week they wouldn't turn on when I pushed the main button.

The problem actually started two weeks ago. The spa has two points where you can turn the lights on. About two weeks ago the main button to turn on the light quit working, but the auxiliary button on the other side of the tub did work. Then, a few days later both both buttons worked again. Now, neither button works.

I've checked the owners manual and it doesn't say anything about troubleshooting the lights.

Is there anything I can do before I call a repair person?

I have checked the breaker and the voltage and they are okay. Where do I start and what are my options? Thanks

I would check the connection @ the display and also ask the question in the correct catagory

I think that the Spa bulb replacement forum is over that way a bit--->
But I wouldn't do it from inside the Spa as i think you may act as a very good ground path for any stray electricity.

Hi does anyone know an approx cost?

I looked at them last year when I purchased my spa and they were about $3,800 for that size. But, they didn't include the locking attached cover, stairs, storage or chemicals and free delivery and set up like the Hot Springs one I bought. So watch what is and isn't included as that adds to the price.

could be a bunch of different things. have a pro check it, could be anthing from a faulty control panel or the entire control system. Look in the owners manual or check their website and find out how to perform a system reset, if there is nothing wrong with the control system or panel then this usually fixes the problem 90% of the time.

What is the best spa/hot tub brand for therapy?

I guess I'm looking for a spa that will sooth aches, back pain in particular. Is there a spa brand in particular that excels in providing spas that do that? I've heard Sundance Spas are good, but I'm still looking around...

I used to own a hot springs spa...it was awesome. I moved and the spa was too difficult to take with me, I miss it sooooo much!

my SUNDANCE spa has stress cracks that are leaking. it is fiberglass. any solutions would be a great help. TY
