Biddiscombe Announces Novel Tanning Booth Solution: The S4200 Spray Tan ... DigitalJournal.com (press release)

St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) September 29, 2011

A veteran in spray tan product development, Biddiscombe International announces the S4200 sunless tanning product line for spray tan booths. S4200 is a rich, full viscosity and highly natural formula containing EcoCert organic dihydroxyacetone. Spray tan booth owners can now use the original clear solution or choose a cosmetic tint of Beach or Bronze. For ease and convenience, S4200 packaging easily adapts for use in VersaSpa spray booths, and its high viscosity formula has been extensively booth tested. S4200 contains no alcohol and is lightly scented with natural oils.

Recognizing that spray tan booth owners were frustrated with their limited choice of compatible tanning solutions, Biddiscombe developed a dispensing approach for its product that is both simple and compatible in the widely popular VersaSpa tanning booths. S4200, a proven high viscosity booth solution, is now available with cosmetic color options that include Beach, with a more pink tint and Bronze, with a more brown tint.

Tanning booth?

I recently started going to a tanning salon. The last time I went I used the booth instead of the bed. I've noticed that I'm getting a itchy rash on my stomach and back. Is this from the taning booth?

Tanning to fast. Your skin is reacting to too much exposure. Slow down try waiting more time between sessions.
I've been tanning for years, have had this problem before.

It's very possible. next time think about trying someting like Mystic Tan instead (safer all around than tanning in sun or beds). You can do a search online to read all about it.

are you sure its a rash?? sometimes after you go to the tannin bed you will itch....

it could be that the bed wasn't cleaned properly or maybe its just a reaction from the bulbs. i would defiantly stop going until the rash goes away..if you still want to go try another salon and see if it happens there. if not then you'll know it was just that one place.
good luck!

How to get the darkest tan in a tanning booth tips ?

I have relle pale skin.I dont burn easy but i turn red. I tan easy under the real sun like an half an hour on each side gets me a good quality tan.I need to know how to get the darkest tan in a tanning booth. And how much deos a session cost usaully? How long deos it take.

cancer aside.. here is my advice:

I would join somewhere that gives a one month unlimited membership. They are usually about $35 a month for a basic bed. Also, try and find a UVA bed, instead of a UVB bed. This will make burning less likely too.

Start out with very low times.. with a very mild lotion. (Swedish Beauty makes a good one) be sure and use sunscreen on your face.

Gradually increase your times... because you don't want to burn, or you will have to start all over again!

[[[[[[[[[edit]]]]]]]]]
I see someone suggested tingle lotion. Don't use this on sensitive/pale skin! The science of a tingle lotion is that it stimulates blood flow, to all the areas it is applied to, and makes tanning even more intense... I would HIGHLY suggest not using it on your skin.

Shake your body

Why would you want to be fake?

**totally depends on where you go.

Use spray on tan b/c tanning booths increase the risk of skin cancer and is VERY unhealthy, especially for ppl with pale skin.

Stay in the tanning booth longer, and ignore the skin cancer.

one word..
skin cancer, think about that..

r u from hawaaii or something its winter weirdo

roll around

Use dark tanning lotion, keep your skin moisturized and tan for a 10 minutes. Drink lots of water. You'll be dark by the end of the week.

It costs too much. Just go into a swimming pool with a lot of the chlorine.

You know you can get cancer from that right? It's no fun...my grandpa has cancer due to radiation exposure (from the a-bomb exercises not tanning booths LOL) and has cancer all over his body...the kemo is hell for him...do your body best and stay away from the radiation :)

k

stay in there for like 1 hour!

you'll be like toatally like crispy and like that is like so like hawt!!

i love you

Buy lotions at the salon...they'll help you find one. Good brands are Swedish Beauty, Designer Skin, and there's others. There something called a "tingle lotion" which you can put on your body (not face!) that stimualtes the skin, and makes it more vulnerable to the sun...therefore...you get darker.

Sessions don't last over 20 minutes due to law...but you can get stronger beds to make those 20 minutes mean more. The basics beds are called base beds, and after you're done with those, you can move up to premium beds.

For me, it's been $3-7 for a regular bed. Definitely get a package deal.

How long does it take to die from skin cancer? Well, that depends...

A bit of sun is good for us and useful in the production of Vitamin D. But if you're only concern is getting as dark as you can, then someone needs to sit you down and explain what happens to you when you get skin cancer.

ok what you need to do is do all your shaving and waxing 24hrs before then the night before you are having your tan done exfoliate well and moisteurise well then the day you are having your tan done dont use any moistueriser deoderant perfum or any skin products go and have your tan done wait til the following morning to have a shower then you find your tan is too light most salons do a discount rate on a next day top up make sure to have a trial on your tan before a big occasion

don't go tanning. besides causing cancer you'll like like a dried up old raisin in a few years if you do. try a mystic tan instead. or get a tanning lotion, those work really well, and they're quicker than tanning beds. there are so many other options out there to tanning beds, why would you want to put your health at risk??

It really varies depending on your area as to the cost. It could be anywhere from 5 to 20 dollars a session or more. If you get red, that's called burning. You should start out going in for half the maximum time limit, every other day. and if you don't turn red, you can move up one minute each session. If you turn red, stop for a couple of days, and when you go back, move down a minute in time. Use tanning lotion; it can be expensive but it's kind of like taking a shower without soap if you don't use it. You're just not going to get your money's worth for the tan time. Some people have to do this for only a couple of weeks and they will get tan. Other people take longer. Don't rush it. When you get a tan it usually only takes one visit a week to maintain it. Also, don't feel like you need to go for the full time limit to get tan. Most people actually don't, and doing so will only cause unnecessary damage.

i like the orbits bed the best, usually after about 3 sessions i am nicely tanned...if an half hour on each side outdoors gives you color than you should have no problem seeing results soon. I do the full 12 minute session and i also use a lotion that they often sell at the salons..it helps get a deeper tan sooner..i recommend it or at least moisturize with a body lotion. gd luck

Get a accumulative natural tan from the sun with SPF15-30 lotion. It's most healthy and you can stop whenever you want.

I use sugar Shack tanning lotion but you really just some until you find which you really like ......start at 10 and work yourself up to 20 but you have to stay consistent good luck!!

When you use a stand-up tanning booth, do you undress inside the booth or elsewhere at the salon?

I'm planning on going to a Hollywood Tan salon [in Southern California] sometime this next week and I'd like to know EXACTLY what to expect. I've used tanning beds before, but I've never used a vertical booth so I'm not sure where my clothes are supposed to stay while I tan.

you'll probably be in room just like a regular bed ..& you can undress in the room.

but if the stand-up is in the lobby like some tanning salons ive been to, you can undress in a little part of the stand up booth before you go into the actual part that tans you.
most of the stand-ups now have their own room just like the other beds, though.

good luck & use a lotion!

the one i used, i put my clothes on the floor and stood on a small platform like thing. don't worry

All vertical tanning booths hava a little extra space to change inside the booth.

The stand up bed is in a private room just like the lay down beds are. Happy tanning. ;-)

Are there any plans out there to build your own stand up tanning booth in your home?

I have a closet in my basement that I am wanting to turn into a tanning booth. Has anyone ever done this?

Aluminum foil and lights

Is it safe to not wear anything in a stand up tanning booth?

I am going tanning for the first time so I have no idea what I am doing. I don't want tan lines but is it okay to go naked in a tanning booth? Are the booths usually private? I was thinking of going to Hollywood Tans.

They are always private..nobody in there but you. I would just make sure to either cover your butt and boobs (nipples) or wear sunscreen at first..that skin is so sensitive and usually hasn't seen much sun so you have to be careful about over exposing those areas. Make sure to use lotion afterwards as well to keep your skin hydrated, the tanning bed is notorious for drying out your skin. Also, follow the exposure advice of the people at the salon...like how long you should stay in, it varies bed to bed.

dont go

It might be uncomfortable being completely naked. Try a very skimpy bikini or those little stickers that cover your nipples (they sell those), so you won't get horrible tan lines.

whats the difference if your standing or laying down? you could still burn your tootie

^If you are talking about a spray on tan, just wear the skimpiest bikini you own. From what I hear they are perfectly safe, just make sure you protect your hair and your eyes.

If you are talking about a regular tanning booth, it's just as bad if not worse than the sun don't do it, you can get skin cancer from it just like the sun and your skin will start to line and wrinkle prematurely as well.

You are going tanning for the first time? Do you have a base tan? I went into a tanning bead/booth (they are basically the same) without clothes on. If you are not tan on your butt, privates or breasts you will get an awful sunburn. I had blisters and pealing and was too embarrassed to tell anyone how stupid I was.
I've been to Hollywood Tans and plenty of tanning salons. I would go to a tanning salon that has both the stand up booths and the beds--HWT only has the stand up kind.
I would try both kinds of tanning to see which one you like best. The lie down kind has an advantage---you can relax. I found standing up with your arms above your head very uncomfortable.
If you you don't want tan lines and absolutely want to use the tanning naked, then you will have to limit your exposure to a few minutes (I think no more then 5).
There is 100% privacy in the tanning beds/booths. There are locks on the doors.
Personally, I would suggest going in with a bikini---exactly what you would wear to the beach.

Yeah your suppose to go in there nude if you don't want any tan lines. I don't know if youre going in a stand up regular tanning booth or the spray one but if it's the regular one you won't get any lines. the spray ones kind of tricky - you have to wear a showercap to cover your hair and sometimes that causes a tanline around your forehead but it's not too noticable. plus the booth are private....every tanning room is private and is locked by you when you go in. it's illegal for them not to be. hope this helps!

Can my hair lighten in a tanning booth, just as it does in the sun?

Wondering if the same elements of the sun that affect my hair are in the tanning booth, or if they have been eliminated by this indoor innovation. Thanks for your help.

Just as the sun affects your skin, it will affect your hair. Mine alsways lightens up when I get in the tanning bed. But remember ,it does the same to your hair that it does to your skin.. DAMAGE, so if you dont use a "hair SPF" be sure and keep it conditioned well!!

When I used to tan in a booth I never noticed my hair lightening, but I remember wondering the same thing.

Usually using a product like Citre Shine or John Frieda's Beach Blonde products before going in the sun or being exposed to heat will lighten your hair. However if you already have colour treated hair or permed or professionally straightened hair you should consult your hair dresser first.

yes it can. it also can dry it out

How do I get an even tan without going to a tanning booth?

ok, i'm very tan on my legs and arms but my face and stomach are totally uneven with them. i go to the beach and tan alot but i'm never evenly tan. i want to be without a tanning booth or alot of work. help. :)

Get a good tanning lotion or oil, not a household item like baby oil, and spend some time in the sun. You'll have to change positions frequently if you want an even tan. Sometimes you feel like a contortionist! lay on your back, and then your stomach, and then you'll have to lay on your sides with your arms up in order to get your sides tanned.

It takes a little strategy to get an even tan outdoors, but it can be done!

get baby oil and tan all day in your backyard.. thats what i do and i get extremely dark
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApjicCme.6mZXS8q4rde.47sy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080719200601AAqy94T

baby oil and tanning don't mix, you'll age your skin quickly. Outside or go and get it done professionally. If you do the self tanners make sure you exfoliate

There are tanning lotions and they are in different shades too.

Is my tattoo still going to fade from using a tanning booth even if I use the proper sunblock?

I always use what my tattoo artist recommended as best to resist fading, which is zinc oxide, applied maybe 5 minutes before tanning, but I'm still afraid the tanning booth is going to fade my tattoo. Will it?

What's worse - tanning in the sun, or in a tanning booth?

I've always wondered which one of these is worse. I've never gone to a tanning booth and never will, I'm Italian and tan very quickly, so I always get a nice tan from just being outside. But I've had girlfriends who have gone to tanning booths and know of other people, and I've always wondered if one was worse than the other.

It seems to me that you might get more vitamin D from the sun, but then you get the UV rays so I don't know.
I mean, if you're in the sun for an hour and in a tanning bed for an hour, which is more damaging to your skin?

a tanning bed. most places only allow you to be in a tanning bed for 20 min in a low level because the uv rays are bad for you. i guess the sun is better. but wearing a low spf. will give you a nice tan and protect you from the rays. =]

In a spray tanning booth, can you choose how dark you want to be or is it just the same standard for everyone?

Plus to go with the question how dark or light is the actual tan (this is only relevant if there is only one set standard to the booth). I only want answers about the spray tanning BOOTHS and nothing else thanks.

Yes, self-tanners do come in various darknesses. There are some tanning booths which offer different chemical tanners for light or medium-dark. You just have to shop around. You can always go twice, two days in a row to build yourself up darker if you can't find a multiple choice tanning booth.

Three Ways To Attain A Golden Look With Sun Tan Lotion

From childhood, people are warned about the danger of too much sun. Protection from UV rays is provided with sunscreen, but today the same results can be achieved with sun tan lotion with the added bonus that a golden color will result. Both of these products have different ingredients and produce different results, but today’s desire to achieve that perfect golden look can be achieved easier than ever.

Sunscreen contains SPF which is specifically designed to block the sun’s rays. It is this by-product of sunbathing that often results in melanoma, more commonly known as skin cancer. Although it is still possible to create that golden look and even burn when using sunblock, it reduces the likelihood of severe burns and the development of life-threatening illnesses.

Some people just lie unprotected under the sun’s rays to achieve a tan. However, this not only speeds up the aging and wrinkling of the skin, which makes one look older, but is dangerous as well. It also allows exposure to cancer-causing radiation which is often life-threatening, especially as one gets older.

Tanning lotion available today is especially designed to ensure that one has the desired skin color after exposure to the sun. It allows a person to achieve this end very quickly and with a very natural look. It has more of an outdoor exposure look than that achieved in a tanning booth and many today also include SPF to maximize protection from the sun.

Many people who wish to achieve this look year-round take advantage of tanning beds and booths. These products are constructed to imitate the sun’s rays through fluorescent UVA lamps and work well at replicating natural tans acquired from exposure on a beach. Lotions for this kind of tanning are specially formulated as the outdoor type would damage the acrylics of the machinery.

The final option is chemical tanning which can come in the form of airbrushing, wipes, lotions, gels, or sprays. Although they do not provide a base coat, chemicals used most closely achieve the color desired. This option is growing in popularity and can be expensive and quicker. Although burns can still result because there is no base coat, a golden color is generated without the time or danger of other choices.
