Has anyone had an experience with Thermage for stomach skin tightening?
I am fit and i have had lipo, but I still have the yucky lose skin and I would really like to firm it up. I exercise and do pilates (core work) almost every day. Is Thermage good for midsection? When can you see the results? Does anyone know the difference in "skin tightening" and thermage? I was told with both I might have to have more then one treatment.

here's part of the answer on thermage: The intense heat created by the radio frequency waves causes an immediate tightening of the collagen network, thereby tightening your skin while the effects of the thermal wound stimulates the fibroblasts to react and cause new collagen to form over the following weeks and months after treatment. This collagen formation thickens the skin and lessens wrinkles, plus tightens the tissue over the following months creating a lifting effect
what do you think of the thermage system?
I recently had this done to my face. I was just wondering if anyone out their has had this procedure and what you think of it? thank you for your input.
I had mine done about 3 years ago and to be honest, I did not think much about the procedure. It was only being used on the main areas of the face at that point and I understand now that the technique is refined enough to use around the eye area which, perhaps might have made a difference for me. I did feel tightening which was basically the healing (scar tissue forming in the dermis) but as results take a while to see, I just wasn't that impressed. Three years later and $2400 later the marionette lines are creeping back and I have none of the lifting, sculpting tightening that I was supposed have and never, really got.
I also did Fraxel about the same time and found it was more than half the price but made 5 times the difference in my appearance. I had the skin of an 18 yr. old again. Yes, it's time for another treatment but I don't mind paying for it because the results are visible within about 3 days and it's just a stunning transformation for half the money.
A little Botox and Restylane and I'll be good to go again!
Please drop an email and let me know how your Thermage does. I'll be interested to compare it to my experience and those my my girlfriends and fellow estheticians. It's an intersting treatment but in my opinion I think they still have some fine tuning that needs to be done to this treatment before it's truly a "face altering" treatment worthy of big beauty bucks.

Qualification to do legal Thermage treatments?
I'm not a doctor but I'd love to buy a thermage machine and offer treatments. Do I need any specific qualifications? Doctor, esthetician, nurse, other?
The Thermage procedure is available only in the offices of qualified physicians who specialize in cosmetic procedures.
Want to hear about the side effects of thermage. I had it ten days ago and my neck and jaw still hurt?
I also feel heat. Neck is soar and it hurts to have a shirt touch it.

I had it done on Friday 1/18/2008 it cost me $2,600 for face and neck. I am 45 it was not a dramatic change my skin tighten a little. I called the doctor on Tuesday and he said I would have to give it at least 3 weeks for see more results. It was pain full and that was one thing that had not been mentioned to me, They gave me pain medication but it still was pain full. I don't want to think it was of waste of money let wait and see. But as of now not worth the $2,600.
What is the difference between Thermage and ELOS?
Thermage is typically used to tighten the skin by "remodeling" the collagen under the skin.
ELOS is typically used to affect the fat content under the skin to relieve the effects of cellulite.
Does anybody know about the use of laser (Fraxel, thermage) for skin treatments in Taiwan?
I have oily, acne prone skin and was wondering if anybody knew about the laser treatments for skin in Taiwan. Effective or disastrous? I know that they are cheaper than in the U.S. but if I have a referal for a (pricey) dermatologist here, should that trump the risk of unknown medical personnel and procedures there, albeit cheaper cost?

It might do, although the eyelid fat is situated very deep and it might actually be a little dangerous.
I am 26, I had my eyebags removed surgically, through an incision in the lining of the lower eyelids so there was no visible scar.
It really depends how bad your eyebags are. Sometimes putting fillers in the tear throughs can completely eradicate the appearance of eyebags.
