MUSKEGON TOWNSHIP — A Muskegon Township man is charged with numerous felonies for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend with a shotgun, threatening to kill her, and shooting her cell phone so she couldn't call for help — all while the victim was holding her infant, police said.
Travis John Garrett, 28, of 1120 Debaker was arraigned in Muskegon County's 60th District Court Monday before Chief Judge Harold F. Closz on eight felony charges: two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon; one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm; one count of interference with electronic communications; and four counts of felony firearms.
Garrett was also charged as a second-offense habitual offender.
Closz set his bond at $250,000 cash or surety and scheduled a preliminary examination for Nov. 7.
According to a Muskegon Township police report, the incident occurred about 11:20 p.m. Oct. 17 when Garrett, allegedly intoxicated, showed up to the woman's home, upset because she didn't show up for an appointment to get a tattoo at Sky Images Tattooing, 1259 East Apple, where Garrett works.

Birth control pills contain estrogen and progesterone. There would probably not be too much effect from taking one, but taking them on a consistent basis could lead to the development of female secondary sex characteristics like breasts.
